Today, the Holy Roman Emperor Julius Nero the Older was arrested and placed in prison.
The 'Holy Roman Senate', which had been basically pawns of the Emperor, have been expelled from the senate, and new Senators were elected for the Senate.
The Senate has already sent their first law; to end the role of the Holy Roman Emperor and declare Constantinalia an 'Armed Republic'.
The old Constitution of Constantinalia before the Holy Roman Empire took power has been re-adopted, and amended for modern times.
The Republic has been formed!

The Aequatian Republic, while pleased about the spread of democracy, is concerned about the illegitimate means of imposing of your new administration. We hope that an election can be held as soon as possible for the citizenry to decide on the government which will serve their needs.

OOC: Don't worry, this is all in a plan to join an even larger monarchy.
IC: Our senators were elected after the pawns were expelled.
While we commend the removal of Nero from office, the state of war between Otagia and Constantinalia shall remain until the Empire relinquishes its claims to all Balkan nations. The Republic has forty eight hours to withdraw all troops and personnel from these territories before we remove them for you.

The Empire has begun to mobilize itself to aide in the establishment of a more competent and steady monarchy in your nation. As well, we are willing to supply you with the means to do so, we would go so far to select a candidate of worthy heritage to aide. Though we would prefer to have your own nation select your own monarch. If you are establishing a new monarchy though we shall a problem.

We've pulled all troops out of the Balkans with the exception of Greece, where we are attempting to restore the government there.
