HM Government has recognised your nation as the legitmate government of Nova Britannica. All of the privileges granted to the Britannican government have been transferred to Vontanas. However, all of the debts and responsibilities of the Nova Britannican government have also been transferred to your nation.

In the Eurasian Wars, Nova Britannica foolishly attacked the Coalition forces, and caused the complete destruction of the country, as you are well aware. However, thousands of Eurasian nationals as well as billions of dollars worth of Eurasian property was located in Nova Britannica at the time of the attack. Therefore, HM Government demands that you repay the United Kingdom for the damages instilled. HM Treasury has estimated that Vontanas owes Eurasia well over five hundred billion dollars; however, we only demand that you pay four hundred and fifty billion dollars forthwith. You have a fortnight to respond.

History
In a peacful time were the economy was utterly successful, Vantanas declared war on the remnants of Nova Brittanica, absorbing them as colonies. Also, while Vantanas was being threated by the imperialist regime of Intracircumcordei, it was declared a Protectorate of British Londinium. Also, when the Pralgadian Empire finally collapsed into an economic slump, it was absorbed as a colony and the Emperor returned, making Vantanas a Democratic Empire.

OOC: Forgive my ignorance, but how long is a fortnight?

OOC: Fourteen days. For reference, your yearly government budget is 215 billion, and your total GDP is four hundred and twenty six billion.

The Democratic Empire would like to request an extension on the deadline by six days.

In other news, the Military has stopped all research and soldiers are being hired as mercenaries to friendly nations. The National Treasury has been emptied (there'd be approx. 100 Billion there). Foreign aid has been stopped. Healthcare has been reduced to the absolute basics, and welfare has been temporarily stopped. Taxes have increased by 15%, and even higher for colonies. All politicians have recieved a significant income drop. All laws restricting business have been temporarily taken off. All special interest groups (NASA, libraries, etc.) have been completly slashed of funds. The government is now advertising for the highest bidder. All environmental laws have also been temporarily stopped.

Also, the government is requesting donations or loans from other nations/organizations. Miraculously the government has paid the first 250 Billion USDs.

The fifty thousand men and women stationed in Vontanas recieved word from Kensington. Their orders were to advance on the capital city, Tinraya. They executed their orders faithfully, quickly marching towards their target. Covering them were four hundred and sixty RAC Curiatii aircraft, and eight Royal Navy attack groups sailed offshore, parallel to the advancing Eurasian army, attacking anyone who dared to resist, as well as cities that might harbour resistance.

The Eurasians had taken control of Vantanas. They had recieved little opposition except for a few isolated towns (all under 50). The question was raised by the Vantanians, "what now?"

A convoy of black Land Rovers raced through the streets of Tinraya. Occupying one of them was the new Governor of the Crown Colony of Vontanas, Jack Aoki.

"Mr. Aoki, please keep in mind that the status of Crown Colony is only temporary. You are here to ensure stability, order, and the prevailance of Eurasia," intoned the Prime Minister, who was presented in the vehicle in hologram form.

"Yes, sir," responded Aoki crisply.

"Furthermore, I am increasing troop levels to three hundred thousand. You will have full discretion over the troops. But you answer to HM Government."

"Naturally." The hologram terminated.

Aoki turned to Field Marshal Mancini, commander of the entire Eurasian presence in the nation.

"Look, I know we both are Swanner supporters, Field Marshall. You used to be in the Prætorian Guard," stated Aoki.

"Aye, sir. What are you proposing?"

"Well, we have to be discreet, lest we be arrested by the authorities in Kensington, but let's bring some Swanner-style justice to the era."

"Yes sir! Shall I close off the capital?"

"Get on it, now. Cut off all non-Eurasian communications in and out of the city. Barricade the exits. I want nobody leaving this city."

The people of Tinraya wondering why the city had been blockaded. The Daily Report showed a video clip of a three year old being shot trying to get across the baricade to his mother on the other side.

Soldiers of the Eurasian Royal Army marched towards the edges of the city, placing checkpoints at all roads leading in and out of the city.

By order of the United Kingdom, only authorised personnel are allowed entry or egress into the City of Tinraya. This is for your protection.

Soldiers shut down public transport, flushed out the sewers for anybody trying to escape, and destroyed mobile towers and television stations. Large speakers were erected on every street corner.

All citizens of Tinraya are ordered to report to central processing at once. Failure to comply will result in prompt arrest, they blared. At central processing, Tinrayans would be forced to have a barcode tattooed onto the back of their neck, after which they would be sent to large "prison camps" built in the city centre.

Governor's Report On Operation: Monopoly

The Eurasian forces, during the initial phases of Operation: Monopoly, were met with minimal Vontanian resistance, something that was wholly unexpected, though welcome. Within three weeks, the entire northern half of the nation belonged to us, and after two more weeks of sporadic combat, the south also belonged to the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, the eastern river delta still remains a problem, but the rebellious areas have been sucessfully sieged, in a way, and it is only a matter of time before they capitulate.

The newest challenge faced by the United Kingdom is the occupation of the nation. The first thing that this government must do is to create immense fear amongst the populace. Secondly, I intend to ingrain Eurasian dominance into the hearts and minds of the Vontanan people. They must learn that we are their lords and masters, and that they serve us. Thirdly, we must....
