History:
In the year 774 a young man named Zalord or 'The First Emperor' founded the Shakal Empire with its capital at Constantinople. For thrirty years he expanded the Empire in the Balkans. With his death in 815 the Shakal stretched from the Bospherus to the Danube occupying modern Bulgaria and Eastern Thrace.
On March 12th 883 the Emperor Debuj led the campiagn into the Dardenelles. The campaign was a total sucess and Debuj continued the crusade into Turkey. By 889 he had conquered the Aegean coast of Anatolia. He returned to Constantinople in the summer of 891. His second campaign was along the coast of the Black Sea began in 896. He won a stunning victory at Trabazon gaining him the name of 'The Lucky Emperor'. He died campaigning in 914.
For hundred years the Empire sat quietly until 1225. On June 25th the Emperor Debuj III led the conquest of Anatolia. In 1232 he turned away from the last small area under Turkish rule at Manzikert and headed south into Mesopetamia. He defeated the Hekelians in the 1st Hekelian War following his voctory at Cestiphon. He turned his army west and seized control of Damascus and Amman by 1234. In 1238 he finally gained total control of Aleppo and Beirut. For his remaining years he consolidated himself.
The for five generations no Emperor was strong enough to lead the army. In 1645 the 2nd Hekelian War broke out with the invasion over the Tigris. By 1656 they were at the gates of Aleppo. The Emperor was weak and the Empire was in great danger. In 1659 as the Hekelian forces neared Ankara Orik Yelosh, a then little known General, led the sucessful defence routing the Hekelians and chasing them back over the Tigris by 1661.
In 1928 the Shakal Empire began to update its army. By 1939 its was updated and ready for war.
Economy
The economy of the Empire has grown into one of the most powerful Industrial powers on the planet. It has most of its citizens in the production sector and can almost totallt supply itself.
