A strange thing was happening on earths ocean. It was about 2300 A.D. Commonalitarianism cities would float into the capital city of Liberty Arcology and simply disappear. At first it seemed like nothing was happening, then more and more cities just ceased to be on earth.

From a population of close to a billion, now there were merely three Commonii cities on earth. There were no announcements that they were leaving. They just simply packed up and vanished.

Slowly many of the undersea cities and mines emptied leaving ghostly shells. They were ghost towns. Mostly empty, there was still some capital equipment lying around. The mines were shut down. In some places the air machinery was still running extracting oxygen from sea water. Coffee cups were left on tables.

People were free to wander and strip underwater cities and take them over if they wanted. They were mostly empty shells. Almost everything important had been taken out of them.

Several of the space elevators were simply left empty. There were no longer enough people to man them. They would be available to almost any taker. Some of there were dismantled, but two were announced as international property to be taken over for free use by the United Nations, a free stairway to the skies.

In space, near the asteroids, massive circular gates opened and many of the Commonii asteroid colonies disappeared, most weren't reappearing anywere in the milky way. Several came out of a nexus near the Paradise system, but not most of them.

The Commonii were leaving the sol system. Overcrowding, pollution, and other oceangoing civilizations had slowly convinced them t leave, but to where?

Then the two cities linked with the capital city. What looked like a huge circle surrounded the three cities. A ripple appeared then the last cities vanished from earth in the sol system.

The Commonii had left earth for a parallel earth. There were the remnants of space elevators, undersea cities, leftover recycling facilities. There were no claims for trade goods. As time passed these facilities would be taken over and turned into living spaces for other countries.

In a ripple on a parallel earth never inhabited by humans or higher life forms, the ships began to emerge. They would call their new home Earth Prime, a parallel earth where they would build a new beginning.

There they built a parallel gate center in New Liberty Arcology, which secretly led into hundreds of different nation states parallels, Earth II, Earth Prime, and many other places stretching far back into the past and far forward into the future. A nexus which led to many different worlds and many different possibilities.

They connected this nexus with their extrasolar colonies, slowly spreading to several different parallel ideal worlds for human colonization. There was Paradise Prime, Muse Prime, as well as Muse and Paradise.

In time the Commonii cities became a strange legend. No one seemed to know why the Commmonii had left. Some of the leftovers became museums. Books were written on the strange powers of the Commonii with pictures of giant arcologies, Commonii were described as being thirteen feet tall, or having mystical psychic powers, or having erected the pyramids of ancient peru.

In the parallel worlds, the Commonii prospered growing into a golden age, having near limitless land and lots of clean resources. They sent explorers into the different earths and universes, an antique shop in Cairo, a waste management company in Arizona, a technical research laboratory in Otagia. They were there behind doors watching and learning. They collected the sciences and arts from many different parallel worlds.

They learned and grew. They began a grand experiment. They built a massive ship 20 kilometers around and filled it with creatures from many different worlds. They filled tanks with boze einstein condensate, and applied hiberzine to many different forms of life and began a long journey through the higher dimensions of hyperspace. The ship skipped through the spaces between galaxies for a thousand years, then released a wormhole gate so the commonii could travel to a new galaxy. Back home, the Commonii, used another wormhole gate to send colonists forward in time so the thousand years seemed an instant in time. These colonists would open a new galaxy.

In time as their mastery of using gate technology to enter parallel universes, increased, they miniaturized and focused the technology. They become adept and able to enter the smaller pocket universes as they moved forward into the future. They quietly built stations there, outside normal time and space, eternal and linked to thousands of worlds. They watched as some universes began and some ended learning about the many parallels.
