As the sun rose over the Bay of Belfalas, King Tirus looked upon the thousands of people that crowded the harbor and beaches around the port city of Harondor. "Citizens of Delkor, it is time for our nation to enter into a new age. Before, we were a people of the land. Now it is time to turn to the seas." Raising an arm behind him, he continued his speech. "Resting behind me is the first of many ships that will defend our kingdom. Long ago, our world was almost destroyed by the forces of evil. We swore to defend our world untill the end of our race." Reaching down, he grasped a bottle of the finest ale from the Shireland. Raising the bottle above his head, "Join me in tanking the next step to protect our world. My brothers! I give you the Flagship of the Delkorion Navy! The DNS Chadek (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/Chadek-classPatrolCarrier-1.jpg)!" With a swing of his arm, he broke the bottle against the bow of the ship, starting it to slide backwards into the bay, while the massed crowd cheered and aplauded. The mighty vessel, largest ever built in Delkor, slid into the water without pause, and came to rest by the end of the docking pier. Tugs movied in to assist in docking the ship, as King Tirus turned back to the crowd. "A new age has begun," he proclaimed. Then, he walked off the stage and over to the VIP buffet...

Small by modern standards, it is equiped with a maximum of 24 'Eagle' (http://www.uss-bennington.org/pics/phzfj3ondeck.jpg) fighters. Along with its two Aragorn-class (http://www.navysite.de/cg/images/cag1_4.jpg) esscort cruisers and the ten Moria-class (http://ussfletcher.org/dd445-5.jpg) patrol ships, the Chadek is tasked with defending Delkor's coastal waters, and is not intended as a strike or attack carrier.
