This is OOC!!!!

I'm getting tired of being an archipeigo with no neighbors. Could somebody please claim part of or all of an island (though not the entire island if it's the main one, Imperiala, or Conquista)? Small(er) nations, it'd be good for you to take some land here. Each island is pretty big- right now I have about 10 1/2 million square miles (though I suspect occupiers will want some of it). I'd prefer if the claim wasn't a colony, but an extension of/homeland for your nation is fine. If you claim an island, please also claim a small part of another island. Map is in my siggy. Keep land claims small...

Atopiana claims Conquista as a base for our new navy. It has a nice bay, good natural defences, and is in a good position. In addition, we will send a colony to Conquista and a smaller, naval base, to be placed on Britannican Isles.

In other words:

All of Conquista.
Part of the Britannican Isles for a naval base.

Hey, im fairly new to the whole RPing thing and am currently wondering where to be in terms of 'Earths' or whatever. Which Earth is this on and do you have any advice about which Earth-type-thing I should RP on???

PS I'm looking to RP modern tech era; possibly with a terrorist org as well as / intead of a normal nation.

Earths are special RPs where players claim areas and RP as them. This is general NS (not part of any earth), where anyone can participate. Be sure to check out the stickies, they can be very helpful. Just ask if you have any questions.

Well, you can't just invade someone. You should always check with them, and usually you'll need a reason. Yes, you can RP without joining an earth. Most people do that. Also, don't take IC (In Character) posts personally. It's just part of the game. MT means Modern Tech, PMT means Post-Modern Tech, FT means Future Tech, PT means past tech. SIC means Secret In Charachter (You can't see it) and OOC is Out of Charachter.

Well, if possible, could the nation of Havvy send a colony to Imperiala and take the northern half of it? It would become the start of the Havian empire.

Decides, having that as an attachment to my homeland, could be a little awkward. Oh, but if you want, we could have a region of islands (big islands btw) known as Sicily next to your islands. Well, that would only work for me if your islands are more north.

I can't dispute the claim with your marines, as they don't exist. As for my nation, its government doesn't have to dispute, it only has to fail to recognize.

The Marines are still there, meaning his government is actively in control of the territory. The People's Republic of China may fail to recognize Taiwan's independence (and by extension the legitimacy of the Republic of China), but the island is still under control of the government in exile.

His government might be in active control of the territory, but my government doesn't recognize his claims. That means that if the LI's Emperor says, "These lands now belong to X" then my nation doesn't wait to change its maps, it just does so. It then treats X as owning that land. Simple.

I have read the invasion thread.

1) My government doesn't recognize your governments as being legitimately in charge of LI. Whether it is wrong or not doesn't matter. Governments can be wrong.

2) It respects the Emperor of LI, and the people of LI. Neither of those entities wanted you in charge. My country is a theocratic monarchy. If the Emperor of LI informs my government that nation X now owns part of LI, they will believe it. After all, the Emperor is the sole owner of a LI, just like the Empress sole owner of Kesshite. A royal bloodline becomes royal because the gods choose them.

3) A number of people have suggested I 'send my soldiers.' There's no IC reason for my country to do so.

As for explaining how you got the land- I suggest saying you bought it or won it in a war hundreds of years ago, or something like that. Kesshite, I'd love to be close to you. ...That came out wrong. I'd like to have close BORDERS with you. Khasaxia, do you want your homeland or a colony? Everyone that wants land, I also need names for the colony (if it's a colony) and desired city names.

Can I have a colony, please? I realise that it would be very small due to my nation size :cool: As to position, could it be a small island somewhere, possibly to the north-east of your main island or just anywhere else you want it to be. For names, could the colony be called 'Khazan' and the city be called 'Karakum' please? I might make a naval base later, when my nation is bigger:)

Hey, I'm not active at the moment, but plan to return after my exams, round the end of june.

I'll understand if you say no, but would you have objections to me claiming a number of outying islands? All I really want is something big enough for a SVTOL Airstrip, facilities to house a couple of thousand (3000 max, probably nearer two hundred though) soldiers as well as facilities to refuel escorts (Couple of Frigates, max) on convoy.

Without going into details, when I return, I'm going to be a very militant isolationist country that only really cares about trade, so to be honest, this little land grab for a refueling station would be great. I plan, ICly to build a chain of artificial islands between major trading partners and GASN countries (I'm GASN, although our relationship will be a lot different when I return), and a real land enclave would be a fantastic start for this.

How about this for Ubundi (the area in the green circle)? The territory will be named Kutoka, meaning "away" in Swahili, and the single city will be named Mwambao.
