It was a huge day for the people of Zukariaa; there was a large crowd gathered around to watch the High Commander. ZNN was all over it, giving live coverage to the people. High Commander Heinreich Korrol stepped up to his spot and began to speak. Little did he know of the man that sat in the window of an adjacent building, adjusting his scope.

This man was loyal to the Kaiser of Zukariaa; he vowed to do whatever the man said, and he had been told to be the Kaiser's blade this day. Kaiser Konrad Augustus Gramman II had been planning this day for the entire year since he had taken the throne. Now, on this day, when the High Commander was to give his weekly speech and address growing concerns of the state of war that Zukariaa was in. Little did the people know, the High Commanders decades long rule was to come to a very abrupt end.

"People of Zukariaa, I thank you for the support you have shown me in these tiring weeks," began the High Commander, unknowing of the eye that watched him,"I know that many of you are concerned that our involvement in certain conflicts are not needed, but I wish to tell you that it is. While our involvement has been very minor on all fronts, without us, I am sure that our allies would not have succeeded in their endeavors. The Zukariaan contributions were-"

A shot rang out, and a one Heinreich Korrol jolted backwards, the top of his head blown off. He slumped forward in a bloody mess. It took several moments for the people to react, but suddenly the audience turned into what seemed a riot. The people of Zukariaa watched the incident on live television; they watched their beloved leader die so suddenly.

16 Hours Later
The Kaiser's "Blade" had been promptly caught and run down with a bayonet, leaving his reasons unknown. No one asked who he had been working for, it just didn't seem neccasary. Now the people, weary and in a state of distress, looked to their "honest" Kaiser. So little did they know. It had been the entire day since the High Commander had been assassinated, and the Kaiser was about to give a speech to the Parliament.

Like so many other time, the Reichstag was alive with movement, if not a lot more movement than usual. Droves of people had rushed to see the Kaiser speak, but none were allowed in. This time the movement was coming from government and military officials. The Kaiser now stood before the Parliament, the Military, and the people. Everything had gone according to his plans.

ZNN - Zukariaan National News
Don't worry, you arn't getting the truth.

"Hello, this is Hans Sülo, and this is Zukariaan National News, your number one stop for news. As you all know, less than 24 hours ago, the High Commander was assassinated before the nation. Heinreich Korrol, the man who has lead us nearly 80 years, will be sorely missed." The camera shows several scenes of crying Zukariaans before fading back to Hans in front of the Reichstag, crowded by people.

"However, today our Kaiser plans to come before the Parliament for support in replacing the High Commander. Polls are showing that he has more support than any other candidate by a long shot; ousting Heinreich Korrol II and some random Socialist fag in a landslide. Still, only the Parliament can decide now."

The camera fades to the Kaiser standing before the Parliament, speaking about his abilities as a national leader. After speaking about several topics, met with the approving nods of much of the Parliament, he steps down.

"It looks as if Zukariaa will be seeing a new government in coming times. This is Hans Sülo for ZNN, where you know we're lieing because of the crap we put in our news."

Within several hours, the Kaiser had secured his place as the fist Absolute Monarch of Zukariaa for 400 years.

"That fucking Fritz! Never trust a fucking Fritz!" Premier Cohen screamed. "That fucking bastard had something to do with it, Connie's fucking resentful. I want all ties severed to Zukariaa, you hear me? Severed!"

"Sir! That is a bit too powerful, don't you think?" Vladimir Clay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was a bit wary of closing Zuko-Cohenian relations. "Perhaps Konrad is good for Zukariaa, you know...Korrol had some problems. Maybe Konrad will fix what Korrol messed up?"

"Yeah. I'm sure Connie-the fucking Hun-will make Jaredcohenians happy. I'm sure he'll make all of the people of Cuprosk happy. I'm sure he'll stay out of Rosbaningrad. Close the Rosbaningrad border. No one gets in through Zukariaa or flying any Zukariaan flag. Shut down the entire Zuko-Cohenian border, no Zukariaan gets in. No Seseerian gets in. No Demoran gets in. No fucking Hun will enter Jaredcohenia. You hear me?"

"Sir, don't you think that we should wait...I mean...who knows if Konrad had any part in this? Sure, it's a little suspicious-but I'm sure that Konrad had no plot in this."

"I've spoken with both Korrol and Konrad at the same time. Korrol has the balls in Zukariaa, Konrad is the appendix. We don't eat fucking grass anymore, and we need the testosterone and the sperm to live. Konrad's going to fuck up the relationship we've had. I want Rosbaningrad shut from Zukariaans. I want Jaredcohenian shut from any fucking Jerrie."

IC:

The Slavic Federal Republic of Jaredcohenia grieves the loss of High Commander Heinreich 'Hank' Korrol. I remember as a child growing up with the High Commander, as he and my father were great friends. At this time, I am unsure as to how Jaredcohenia and Zukariaa can be allies. Our greatest ally in all of Zukariaa has perished, and I fear that at this time I must shut down all borders into the Slavic Federal Republic of Jaredcohenia and the Slavic Federal Protectorate of Rosbaningrad.

I would like to ask as to how this change of command will reflect upon our nations' relationships with one another. As you are well aware of, both of our nations have not been the most friendly. However, I hope to see that this change of command will open new opportunities for our people to be allies, even friends.

Now my brother is having some convention with the ADAN, but I do believe that he would approve if I extended my grief and sorrow for your now deceased High Commander. A ship full of black roses will be sent along with a nation-wide day of mourning.

A Bourrée wafted lazily through the air, twisting its way through rich Victorian corridors. Its origins were in an ornate chamber, where Atal Amner sat behind a cello, locked in musical ecstasy. The music flowed up and down, the instrument nearly becoming one with his body, an extension of his mortal body.

It all seemed to leave him, the desolation and doubt of the past few months as Violet slowly recovered. He did not even notice the aide waiting patiently by his side, ready to intervene when the Prime Minister reached a suitable conclusion. Finally, after several minutes, the piece drew to a close. He drew one last note across the strings, almost unwilling to let the piece end. But there was nothing more to play, the song exhausted. "I believe, Miss Vickers, that you have some bad news for me. You wouldn't be here otherwise."

"Yes sir." She handed him a small printout. "The Zukariaan High Commander seems to have passed away."

"Thank you Miss Vickers. I will write up a statement. Please bring me some tea, and a pen and paper. That is all." As she softly closed the door, he began to secure his Cello, retracting the endpin and loosening his bow. National leaders pass so often these days.... I can only hope that enough survive to stem the tide.

It is with great regret that I read of the passing of High Commander Heinreich Korrol. I extend the deepest sympathies from the No Endorse people to you, people of Zukariaa, and hope that in this time of mourning and hardship you can find peace and strength in your surviving leader, Kaiser Konrad Augustus Gramman II.

It is in times like this that nations show their true colors. A nation that survives such an incident flawlessly is one of the elect, one of the few chosen societies selected by nature to proceed to the next evolutionary stage. Fate and adaptation assess the living and the dead, those who will gain power and those who will wither on the vine. From your current actions, you appear to have been selected as one of the living, and I heartily congratulate you for thus far weathering such a horrible tragedy.

OOC- Konrad has never said anything about having "beef" with you, simply that your government is not seen as trustworthy. It is normal for any government to distrust a government that switched so often as yours did in the past, and is now in the control of, if I recall, some guy who thinks he is the reincarnation of some dude from 1000 years ago. And anyways, you can't just randomly accuse me of OOCly disliking you just because I turned you down. Kthx.

Oh for the love of God, it has only changed ONCE! Only thing was the length of how long it took and how many different conflicts that had occured to come to the final result. Also, my IC character has not accepted nor has he even acknowledged the myth that he is a reincarnation of the original Scythis. That was actually his brother being a die-hard fan of mythical/legendary proportions.

Furthermore, my country was unstable several years ago rpwise. This was because of the shift of power that had resulted in Scythis (Jonathan Vega) claiming the throne of Dephire.

I wish you people would pay more attention to detail.

"Sir, I do not see why you have to be unfriendly. We are not unpredictable, nor are we even hostile. Your claims are false. Whomever gives you your information is wrong. Whatever ideas that dipict Dephire as unpredictable and elusive are rather disheartening, and I would like an explanation as to why you think so and whom you get your information from.

It's true that Dephire has had a troubled past, but that is inevitable when a shift of power is upon something as highly valued as the Throne.

I had to forcefully take back the throne that was rightfully mine from a man I thought corrupted and inpure. Later did I learn that he was my brother. He spoke of a prophecy in which I did not care for. That we were reincarnations of two brothers that were alive thousands of years ago. It angered him that I did not believe in such things. So what if I took claim of the Holy Name? A name is a name. That is all I cared for.

If you don't accept us as friendly, that is still your choice. However, I would wish that you give us a chance. Like a thirty-day money back promise? If you are not satisfied, then we will look elsewhere for allies....possibly even friends. But please, for the sakes of both our peoples and the economic benefit that will result, disregard our past and look towards a possible future. I know I will be praying. Thank you."
