League of Allied Royal Countries (LARC) Treaty. Purpose: a Defense Alliance among small to medium sized nations having a royal sovereign: Kingdoms, Queendoms, Grand Duchies, Fifedoms and Empires are wecome to apply to join. LARC is defensive in nature , except as provided for in charter. LARC stands to promote the common values of its members and to "unite their efforts for collective defense". Article 1: LARC requires members to seek peaceful resolutions to disputes, amongst member nations and others. Article 2: LARC members pledge to provide economic and political consideration to each other. Article 3: LARC members will cooperate in the developement of the capacity for defense. Article 4: LARC members will join in consultation when a member state is threatened. Article 5: LARC members promise the use of their armed forces for "collective self defense", an attack on one is an attack on all. Article 6: LARC affirms the precidence of members obligations under UN charter. Article 7: LARC treaty pertains to members of the LARC alliance and the Larc alliance only, member states that belong to other treaty organizations and are bound to obligations provided by their charter will not obligate LARC members to "collective self defense" of non-LARC member states. Article 8: a council of representatives from the LARC member states shall be created to oversee the implementation of this treaty. until such a time that a permanent headquarters can be established, the Kingdom of Aschenhyrst will provide a compound for the alliance. the compound is located at #1 Kingshighway in Aschenhyrst City. Article 9: admission of new members- upon petitioning LARC for membership, prospective members will be voted on by members for admitance. a 4/5 `s majority will be required for admitance. prospects that do not recieve this vote may re-apply for membership at a later date. exception to Article 9: until said time that membership is able to have a 4/5`s majority, membership will be voted on be a 100% majority vote of member states. Article 10: ratifcation of this treaty will be by a 100% majority of members signing this treaty. Article 11: reconsideration of this treaty, should the need arise, will require a 100% majority of all members; this is to include any member state that joins at a later date. Article 12: any nation that wishes to withdraw from this organization and treaty may do so at any time, provided: 1) a written request to withdraw is submitted to the treaty council. 2) the organization is not at a state of "heightened readiness" or actively at war and 3) withdrawal is in the best interests of the organization. Article 13: all member states shall have a deligate on the LARC Council, the council is to be headed by a Secretary-General who shall be elected from council members by a simple majority vote. the term of office for Secretary-General is one (1) year, with a term limit of five consecutive terms in office and/or 10 terms total for the lifetime of the individual delegate. a Military Command Commitee comprised of the cheifs-of-staff of each member state shall be the highest Military authority of the organization. a Supreme Commander of LARC Forces will be elected by the Military Command Commitee and upon approval of the LARC Council, shall be the Head of Allied Armed Forces. approval requires a 4/5 majority, exception until said time that a 4/5 majority can be acheived a simple majority will suffice. Article 14: the official copies of this treaty will be stored in the Royal Archives of the Kingdom of Aschenhyrst. 02/21/07 LARC Military Command Committee approves standard calibers for small arms. all present and prospective members of LARC will field weapons in the following calibers: Pistol/SMG- either 9x19mm or 11.25x25mm(a.k.a. .45ACP), Assault/Main Battle Rifle- 5.56x45mm, General Purpose Machine Gun-7.62x51mm. other types of weapons have not been standardized as of this date. their are no standard weapons as of this date. prospective members must either adopt a weapon in these calibers or re-chamber existing weapons to these calibers before admittance to the LARC Alliance. Xanadou


Xanadou is a very small region compared to most, most obviously. The regional boundries have shifted a few times including two newer nations into the region. The Eternal Empire of Yurka and the Republic of Kilovary are newcommers to Xanadou. However The Empire of Magic Sorcery has been the longest member, and has grown quite considerably since annexing Lautsburgia, Seanovia, and Fresh Price. Fortunatley M.S. is a freindly neighbor has no desires to threaten Kuronan Soverignty.


Kurona



Military


Kuronan Military is a mix of both voulentary and non volentary basis. For example if Kurona desired to go as an Interventionist force into a foreing country (Which we haven't actually done before if that worries you) the military service would be optional. But if there is a national emergency which requires the mobolization of troops, it would be a draft for all abled men. (It is a strong prefrence women don't serve in the Military, but there is no actual law prohibting them) Kurona usually imports Military armes from allies. Size of our armes is pretty standard of weaponry, we aren't a techincal wonderland and really don't have desires to be one.


Alliances


The only real alliance that isn't defunct that Kurona belongs too is Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization) Interpol Agents have the authority to arrest anyone on International Territory, and/or foreing soil (They really do so at their own risk) this may obviously cause conflict.

Kurona is willing to abide by LARC's ruling unless we feel it strongly goes opposed to our values and national identity. What we hope for LARC is a defensive alliance that we can contribute to or in the event of an emergency you may be abel to help us. Kurona once too many times has been shunned by the international community when it needed them most (With the exception a few kind hearted nations that always want to help) That's the best we can sum it up
