IC:

The trip across Northern Turkey had taken a little over amonth to complete, but the Teams had accomplished most of their objectives given to them. They had eliminated a total of 10 Suspected Terrorist Camps, a few Radar Installations, and quite a few former Moorington Armored Convoys. There was little to no resistance most of way across Northern Turkey, until they came close to Ankara. Remants of the Former-Moorington Military were trying to establish themselves as rulers of Turkey and possibly Bulgaria. They kept most of their troops near the Capital or Istanbul, to protect themselves and keep themseves in power.

3km east of Ankara, the Teams came into a Fire-fight with Moorington Soldiers with light armor support. Having already expended their Anti-Armor weaponry long-ago, the teams were forced to call in for Air-Support. 4 Air-Craft were quickly scrambled to their location. It was dangerous considering the locations proximity to Ankara and a large portion of a the Former-Moorington Military. They would arrive in 7 minutes. In that 7 minutes, the Teams had to defend a small hill from an enemy three times their size and with armor. The Teams used Smoke Grenades to keep the enemy on edge and used various techniques to funnel the enemy into killing lanes. Still even with all this, by the time the Jets arrived 6 LS8 and 9 LS7 Men lay wounded, with 2 more mortally wounded. The teams used the Air-Crafts covering fire to retreat to a location accessible to Helicopter and Air-Lifted the injured soldiers out.

The rest of the members of the Teams made their way steadily northward. Keeping a wary eye of Ankara and it's troops. They ended their mission prematurely, but with no complaints from the High-Command. They had done well, but it had cost them much blood. With the LS Teams out of harms way, the rest of Operation: Just Rewards could begin. And begin it did.

-Turkish-UCR Border, Iranian Azerbaijan. Operation: Just Rewards-

General Vartan Khajag sat in a quite spacious Fox-Hole that was to be his command post for the beginning portions of Operation: Just Rewards. He was currently in deep conversation with his immediate subordinates and aides. They were finalizing the battle-plan. It had been decided, quite early on, that the initial Operation would be a Tank Assault, very much like the Nazi's in the late 1930's and early 40's. The Tanks would move forward at blistering speeds, destroying any opposistion, while Air-Craft flew ahead to dislodge hardened defenses and scout. Unlike the Nazi's, the UCR Tank Assault would be complemented by Helicopters. Panther Helicopters would be used for close ground support and forward insertion of UCR Troops. Air-Craft would be initially launched from bases in the UCR and as the forces get farther into Turkey, the UCR Carrier in the Black Sea will take over duties. It was a plan, that if well orchestrated, would make this Operation go over quickly.

"Then it is decided. Of the 300,000 UCR Troops allocated for this Operation, 225,000 will continue on towards Istanbul and the western portion of Turkey after we capture Ankara. The other 75,000 Troops, with possible reinforcements, will move south to defeat any lingering resistance there." The General Said. No one moved to raise an objection. It was a sound plan.

"Then it is decided, in two days time, Operation: Just Rewards, will begin." He said cooly.

OOC: Anatolia is less mountanious then it is a very large platuea. Of course their are mountains, but most of the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey is reletively flat. Theres still mountains and hills I'll have to worry about, but for the most part, till I reach central Anatolia, it's quite flat.... ish. I'll edit this post later with an update on the Operation.

SIC communication to the High Command of UCR

Ally,

MOSSAD reports from Turkey have reached our High Command, and we're ready to stand up for our Red Sea Ally.

We are preparing a fleet in Haifa, Israel, for dispatch within 24 hours. We are thinking that you may need help to secure the Mediterranean coastline, should there be any hostile ships.

I you want us to send a fleet to the coast outside Turkey, please come back to us as soon as possible.

General Carl Hamilton
Red Sea Alliance Administrator
The Kingdom of Kopparbergs Middle East

OOC: I'm not planning to make a big affair out of this, maybe just detecting a couple of ships or something.

We would most appreciate your ships in the Mediterranean to keep the few remaining Turkish Ships there. The last thing we need is for our Carrier in the Black Sea to come under attack. If would you please, could you also possibly hit military important sites in Southern Turkey. Any damage to them would make this operation once it reaches it's split-point alot smoother.

Sincerely
General Vartan Khajag

-Turkish-UCR Border. Operation: Just Rewards-

The Tank Crews made last minute preperations, while the infrantry squads who gotten the honor of being deemed "Advance Deployment" suited up. Across the UCR line, last minute checks and repairs were being made. Tanks, APCs, and Trucks all made sure that they were fueled up. This Operation was to great to have slow down because of a empty gas tank. Soldiers who weren't advance deployment gathered up extra supplies, supplies that would most like be used to relieve the advanced deployment men. In a matter of two hours, their readiness would be tested.

All of the Tank and Infantry men had been briefed on their targets and most likey route to get to them. They were also given a brief on what to expect from the Enemy. All accepted their orders without question, they knew that this Operation was well planned and it would be almost impossible to not succeed. With 2,000 Merkava Mk IV Tanks and 300,000 Soldiers, it would be hard to fail. The first targets of the Operation were four cities. The cities were Erzurum, Trabzon, Diyarbakır, and Sivas. The farthest, Sivas, was quite close to Ankara, the main objective of Operation: Just Rewards. After that, the Operation would split into groups, one for Istanbul and Western Turkey and one for Southern Turkey.

-Western Turkey. 13 Hours Since Operation: Just Rewards Began-

Explosions from grenades and mortars were heard all across the western edge of Turkey. From Artvin to Hakkari, UCR troops clashed with Former-Moorington Soldiers. They resisted because their Generals told them to and because they still believed that the Generals, who controlled the country, had power. They were gravely mistaken. After the LS Teams insertion and their path of destruction, many Moorington soldiers lost hope. Moorington soldiers surrendered in bunches, but still the most fanatical and fervent troops fought on. Most of the time against impossible odds. Ardahan and Iğdır were taken with little trouble, due to their proximity to the UCR border and high Azeri population. When UCR forces entered the Ağrı province and the Van province they were met with Fanatical troops, remeniscent of Former Sistani-Forces that were fought decades ago. The Hakkari and Kars provinces were taken after some fierce fighting.

Overall, the UCR forces have accomplished most of their first 12 hour goals. They are well on their way to aquiring their goals of cities of Diyarbakır, Erzurum, and Trabzon. With control of these cities in UCR hands, the UCR Forces will be well entrenched in Turkey. It would take a miracle for the Former-Moorington Armed Forces to dislodge the UCR then. No doubt they will try, and many men will die, but the UCR is adamant in it's pursuit of assimilating Turkey. It has been a breeding ground for Terrorists and Extremists for too long, and the UCR has decided to take matters into it's own hands.

[ooc: perfect opportunity for more reckless mayhem :D]

The Jaysh al-Inqadh al-Haqq Arabiyya al-Dar al-Islam [henceafter mentioned as JIHADI, because I'm tired of writing the name everytime when I created the name for an obvious reason...] issued an order to all of its operatives in Moorington Turkey.

[I]"Unleash all hell upon the infidels who defile the lands and invade the Holy Lands!"

The order did not go very far or very well. Some were confused about the "Holy" aspect of Turkish territory, despite it being the prominent seat of the old Khaliphate of the modern era until the Republican revolution in 1923. Nonetheless, those that heeded to call to Moorington began their carnage, bombing Istanbul yet again, seeing that their tactics had worked there in eliciting a reaction from them. In the meantime, the JIHADI main organization somewhere was planning how to retaliate against Vineyard and Granate for remaining allied to the vile Jews and the insincere ALM Emirate - a professedly Islamic state but shunned the thought of being ruled by Allah. It was only a matter of time before anyone felt the true wrath of JIHADI.

-Western Turkey. 7 Days after the Beginning of Operation: Just Rewards-

Rifle and machine gun fire light-up the streets of many Turkish cities. From Trabzon to Batman (OOC: lol), UCR forces fight Former-Moorington Soldiers. Progress has slowed since the couple of days of the Operation. The city of Erzurum is slowly being encircled and a seige reminiscent of Tabriz has begun. Soldiers in that area are confindent that they can end the seige in a week. The seige of Tabriz lasted a month and a half. The cities of Trabzon and Batman have already been entered by UCR forces and should come under UCR control by the end of the next 2 days.

While all of this is going on, a new war has started much closer to home. In UCR-Controlled Turkish Cities and a few choice cities in the UCR itself, car bombs have gone off. A car-bomb went off just yesterday that killed 12 in Urmia. The day before that, a IED hit a group of UCR engineers who were repairing a water-main in the city of Van, three were killed, while 7 were wounded. The suspect has not been found. The UCR government has promised more sweeps into UCR controlled regions. Reports that the government will call-up another 50,000 Reserves remains unproven.

A closer march home, three armed men stormed a subway station in Baku, firing upon all those in their way. It was unknown as to what started the incident, but it seems that after metal detectors went off, the men became hostile and killed those present at the security checkpoint, moving down through the station with a black duffel bag.

Special Report: Terrorists Hold Subway Hostage with Nerve Gas!

Today, at 11:44 AM, three men of Turkish descent entered a Baku subway station. When they entered the security checkpoint, they were found with weapons on themselves. At that moment the men seemed to panic and began to open fire with said weapons. They killed the 3 UCR Police At the Checkpoint and 5 civilians. It was then they entered the station and began to hold 65 people hostage. The men have stated that they have Sarin Nerve Gas and will activate it should any rescue attempts be made. The only demand as of this time is for the Immediate and Full Withdrawal of UCR troops from Turkey. There has been no comment at this time by the Government, other then that they are currently convening at Tehran instead of Baku.

This has been UCNN and good-night.

-Western Turkey. 6 Days since Operation: Just Rewards Began-

Fighting has died down in the Cities of Trabzon and Batman, almost to the point where they can be considered under UCR Control. Small pockets of Moderatre Resistance are all that remain. But these pockets are deep within the Cities themselves and are hard to find. The UCR military hopes to have them under UCR Control within the next two days, 6 days behind schedule.

While the fighting dies down on the edge of the line, the Seige of Erzurum has taken a turn for the Worse. A sortie by a UCR Platoon ended with 12 Soldiers dead. Most reports indicate defenses of the city are really strong. A order was given to bring up an Artilley Battalion and a MRLV Squad. They will be used to soften up the city, much in the same way they were used in Tabriz and to a lesser extent Tehran.

Special Report: Terrorist Set Off Sarin Nerve Gas!

The Terrorist, who vicisiously attacked and held a Subway Station Hostage in Baku, have activated their Nerve Gas Bomb. Shortly after this, they commited suicide, but not before screaming "DEATH TO THE INFIDELS AND THE ALLIES OF THE JEWS!. The Gas quickly took effect and killed 14 almost immediately. 32 Died before police and military teams could get to them. Another 12 would die before adequate medical care could be administered. The rest remain in critical condition at UCR Memorial Hospital. 4 Members of a police unit are also in the hospital for possible Nerve Damage.

Almost all UCR government officials have convened in Tehran to plan on what to do next. Reports from Tehran suggest that Baku and other Major cities will be put into semi-Martial Law, at least for a couple of weeks. After that, more stringent Security measures will take place across the country. We can only hope, that what happened in Baku never happens again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Western Turkey. 10 Days since the Beginning of Operation: Just Rewards-

The Cities of Batman and Trabzon were considered totally cleared. As was UCR military protocol, Engineers moved in after the fighting was moved far enough away and began to Repair Water-Mains, Telephone Wires and other needs. Other more police-style units also moved in as well. Since the invasion had probably destroyed most Police Units in the Area, the UCR took it upon itself to help Police is assimilated Territories until they can fend for themselves.

The fighting has moved to the Diyarbakır and Gümüşhane Provinces. Resistance is moderate, due to supplies running low. The UCR Forces beleive these areas will fall easier then Trabzon and Batman. Diyarbakir could possibly be the hardest city to capture, but reports as of now suggest the city is under-defended or is defended by a Rag-Tag Militia. As always the UCR is cautious as it extends it reach farther into Turkey.

-Western Turkey. 17 Days after the beginning of Operation: Just Rewards-

UCR are quickly moving westward since the Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, and other surrounding provinces have fallen. Erzurum fell after a violent firestorm of Artillery Shells and MRLV Missles. After the barrage was over, UCR troops stormed into the city to find most of the resistance was either dead, wounded, or had just given up. PoW reports have not been released but estimates suggest a number around 7-15,000 Might have been captured in the battle, with around 2,000 or so other casualties. UCR casualty reports still have not been released. UCR forces now move on to their final objective before Ankara, Sivas.

Currently the UCR forces are split into three Groups. The Northern battle-group will be moving along the Black Sea, and will capture Provinces North of Sivas. Once it reaches and assimilates the Ordu Province, the Northern Battlegroup will move south to begin encircling Sivas. The Central battlegroup will move directly to Sivas and will begin to assault it. The southern battlegroup will move from Diyarbakır and will move through and capture the Elazığ, the Malatya, and the Kahramanmaraş Provinces. It will then move south of Sivas and begin to Assault it. So far, Operation: Just Rewards has been a resounding success, with land being captured daily if not hourly.

With the success in the Baku strike, the JIHADI organizers decided to make a painful strike at the UCR forces when they entered Sivas. They would rouse the people to join them and fight against the infidels, and force them to at least spend much blood in reclaiming this land. There were about 50 operators sent, with the full knowledge that they would be committed to Allah's hands in this time. But they would be the 50 men who take the gauntlet against the UCR forces, and rouse an entire town to rise against them. To them, a battle was to be fought and lost, but they would vow to take with them more than their fair share of each person lost to the infidels.

25 Days ago, UCR Forces began their assault on Sivas. This assault was thought to be a breakthrough for UCR forces, as almost no Former-Moorington Troops were located near the city. It was an expected cake-walk. How wrong they were. After entering the city easily on day 18, most of the men in the city came under intense fire. Targets were not identified and very few enemy casualties were reported. This was the just the beginning of hell for the UCR troops stationed in Sivas. They spent the next 3 1/2 weeks fighting almost constantly against an enemy more akin to the JIHADI Extremists then the Moorington-Led Guerrilla Forces. UCR forces have set a task of going through each building one by one and looking into each room. It is a long and arduous process, earning the nickname "Sweeper Mission". Analysts report that this process could take weeks, perhaps months to complete, especially with the JIHADI Extremists involved. UCR forces are still more then willing to go the distance with this Operation, with most of the troops wanting to press onward and gain their Goal.

-Central Turkey. 67 Day after the Beginning of Operation: Just Rewards-

The fighting in Sivas is not over, but it has died down considerably. So much so, that portions of the City are open to News Media Crews, but only with an Armed Escort. For the first time in a long while, images of the once majestic Turkish City of Sivas reach the world. The Destruction is quite apparent, and although most of the bodies of the dead have been removed, there still is some blood red marks littered around these areas. Shell casings are still littered in corners and behind cars. Pieces of concrete and other building materials litter the streets. It looked as what some would call, a scene out of a post-apocalyptic Film.

With most of the City cleared and ready to be used as a staging ground, most of the UCR Forces prepare for quite possibly an even tougher Challenge with Ankara. Even though portions of the City still haven't been cleared, a Division of 12,000 Men will stay behind to accomodate this task and assist the UCR Engineers as the begin to repair the city. Estimates point out that this could take another two weeks before the city is fully cleared. Repairs to the citie's water-mains, and other essentials could take as much as two months. Casualty reports as now have not been released.

-West-Central Turkey. 79 Days after the beginning of Operation: Just Rewards-

In the 12 days since most of the UCR force left Sivas, they have made great progress across the Anatolian Plateau. The Provinces of Yozgat, Kırşehir, and Kırıkkale have fallen to UCR forces. Already these areas have been deemed save for UCR Engineers to repair the limited damage the provinces have sustained. Now, the UCR Forces have entered the Ankara Province, which is home to the city of Ankara, the main objective of Operation: Just Rewards. Ankara, a great city which was used as a Fortified base for the Byzantine Empire. It was captured by the Seljuk Turks, and later the Ottoman Turks. It was also the place where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk chose to hold the first national congress, thereby becoming the capital of the Republic of Turkey. It has also been host to a corrupt, uncarring government in the Form of Moorington. Now the UCR has come to the city, to right the wrongs of the past government and make Turkey respectable again.

Back in Sivas, the fighting has died down considerably. With the majority of the UCR forces in the region gone, most of the extremists that remained left the area. Much of Sivas lies in ruin, and it will a long time before the city comes back to it's former glory. Already, UCR land contractors have been contacted to come to Sivas and begin the reconstruction process. Although, they won't arrive for atleast another month or two, plans are already in place to rebuild a good portion of the Old City and install some modern buildings. Sivas will return better then before, much like Tabriz and Tehran before her.

[this is SIC, but just for plot development...]

Having lost Sivas, JIHADI organizers contemplated the loss of their men, realizing that this was indeed to be the way. But part of their plan has been a success - a number of their agents have infiltrated behind the lines of UCR troops, posing as civilians. When the time was right again, they would arm themselves using the arms stashes stored under the corrupt Moorington government and bring the war closer to home. Already their strikes in Tbilisi and Baku have been utterly successful, but their success makes the success of future attacks more difficult.

The JIHADI members decided on a more rash but useful tactic. The Turkish border with Syria was often porous, and therefore a carefully aimed strike at a Syrian establishment could precipitate war between two allies, and bring to fruition the self-destruction of the decadent infidels. They also decided that it was a ripe time to stage another attack on the blasphemous Jews in Kopparbergs, and perhaps even the ALM Emirate. It seemed as though the RSA had felt their blows, but continued to ignore them.

In any case, a plot was brewing in Istanbul - the former capital of Moorington, and of empires before that. If UCR reached the city, they would be starkly surprised to see what resistance would follow.

The Attack on Ankara had begun almost 5 days ago. It was quickly noted that the defenders of Ankara were not like the defenders of Sivas. Where as in Sivas, most of the defenders were JIHADI extremists and their supporters, in Ankara the remnants of the Former Moorington Government had set-up shop. The used the last of the man-power and support to defend Ankara from the UCR onslaught. But it was all for naught. Most of the Moorington Armor had been destroyed from the air by Lavi or Dassault Fighters. Others were abandoned on the road by the retreating Moorington Forces. Most of the troops they had were weary of fighting and only fought because they would get killed from their commanders if they didn't. It was only a matter of time before the UCR Forces captured the city.

Twenty days. Twenty days of hard fighting. Twenty long, hard days of fighting. Twenty days of fighting and still Ankara was not fully captured. Moorington soldiers showed some fanatical strength in resisting UCR efforts, but their fanatcism has come at a hefty price already. UCR estimates suggest that as many as 7,500 Former Moorington Soldiers are dead. Upwards of as many 25,000 are wounded, captured, or missing. Pillars of smoke, rise from fires that burn unending in destroyed vehicles, be they tank or technical. All burn the same black tar smoke. But through all of this, UCR Soldiers have perservered and pushed them back. Soon, the city will be in UCR hands and Operation: Just Rewards will end. The fighting was over. Ankara was fully in UCR hands. Men and women of the UCR Armed Forces gave blood, sweat, and even their lives to take the city. Cars, trucks, APCs, and even tanks were destroyed in taking the city. Carnage littered the streets. Bits and pieces of houses, offices, and other buildings lay helter-skelter across the streets. It was a city ruined by war, but it was firmly in UCR hands. The capital of the brutal Moorington Regime was no more. Now all that lay was just a broken city, hoping to rebuild itself. It would get it's chance, much like Tabriz and Tehran. It was official, Operation: Just Rewards was over, but Operation: Final Justice was just around the corner. Each and ever soldier licked their wounds and waited.

-West-Central Turkey. 2 Months since the end of Operation: Just Rewards-

Alot had happened in the two months since the end of Operation: Just Rewards. A JIHADI allied coup took place in the remaining Moorington held regions. Much of Turkey, sans the areas under UCR Administrations, were in an almost constant state of combat. Islamic Extremists allied to the JIHADI Extremists planned to form an Islamic Republic. They had in their control Istanbul and a large portion of Western Turkey. The Moorington Remnant, as it is now known as, controls Eastern Thrace, and the rest of Western Turkey. Their attacks on UCR controlled lands have been few, because they feel that the UCR's campaign into Turkey is complete.

Little did they know, the UCR military machine was still running. It was just preparing for the trials ahead. The trials are more likely to be even more deadly then before. But with western Turkey broken into a fighting ground between Rival Factions, the UCR's hopes are high.

-Southern Turkey. J-Day-

It was the day of reckoning for Western Turkey. The Islamic Extremists and the Moorington Remnant's hold on it would begin to end. Although it was publically known that Operation: Just Rewards was considered over and much of the UCR advance had slowed to a crawl or even a full stop in some areas, there was follow-up operation ready to go. Over the two months since the end of Just Rewards, many of the UCR wounded were taken back to Hospitals in the UCR Proper, others took 2 or 3 week leaves of absence to relax. Others were happy to here that there units were being fully pulled back to the UCR. These units were to be replaced with Reservists who had been called up before Just Rewards. Other units that were used as Guards Units in Eastern Turkey were called west due to the increased number of Loyal Turkish Police Officers.

But today all this work is put to use. It is called J-Day by the troops for a Reason. The Operation they are about to undertake is called Operation: Final Justice. The "J" in J-Day comes from the word Justice in Final Justice. The troops say today is the day when the Moorington Remnant and the Islamic Extremists finally fall. The Initial assaults of J-Day will take place in only one region, an Area called the Adana Gap. It is a gap that seperates UCR forces in the Osmaniye Province and UCR forces in the Niğde Province. The Adana Province is under Moorington Remnant control and will most likely be home to a good number of Moorington Troops. UCR Commanders are confident the fighting in the Adana Gap will take less then a week, others say it may take as many as three weeks.

There they would meet the UCR Offensive, but deep in their hearts they knew it was pretty much over. Many had decided before hand that when the UCR assault came they would surrender the first chance they got. Moorington Commanders had to stay near their troops so they wouldn't surrender.

Suddenly, the Artillery stopped. All was quiet for a long moment. They the omninous rumbling sound of Tanks became apparent to the Moorington Troops. Their commanders yelled out Orders to get RPGs and other such Anti-Armor weapons. Close behind tanks, came the APCs. These APCs were filled with UCR Troops ready to tanke the plunge into the Moorington Lines. Their orders were to find any information in the Trenches and to clear them of enemies. They were prepared and willing.

Much of the fighting in the Adana Gap had died down. It was during the first days of the fighting that much of the Moorington line fell. Many fell to Artillery or Rocket strikes, while others died during the Armored Charge. Those that hadn't died in the fighting were either retreating towards the only known Moorington route to Konya or had surrendered. There still were small pockets of Resistance in the Adana Gap, mostly in the City of Adana. The fighting there is expected to stop within the coming days, with most of the defenders surrendering.

With the fall of Adana to the UCR, the next targets in Operation: Final Justice are the Provinces of Mersin and Eskişehir. Mersin is under strict Islamic Extremist Control and is known to house lare amounts of supplies. It is most likely a well defended province since it's the supply point for the Islamic Extremists Southern Campaign. Eskişehir is a contested province with Moorington-Remnant and Islamic Extremist Forces constantly battling over it. It is expected to be a tough since the number of troops there is quite large. Even though the coming battles are going to be tough, most of the UCR's Commanders are confident that they will succeed.

-Southern Turkey. 2 Months Days since the Beginning of Operation: Final Justice-

The past two months in Turkey for the UCR forces had been hellish, but productive. After capturing Adana early in the campaign, the UCR forces immediately began to move onwards, constantly pushing against Jihadi or Moorington-Remnant Forces, always pushing them back. Due to the lack of heavy armor and major anti-armor weaponry, these forces had a tough time combating the Merkava Mk. IV tanks that the UCR employed to spearhead their advance. This coupled with the full-scale implementation of UCR Eurocopter Cougars, allowed the UCR to advance quickly over alot of territory, only stopping at large cities. It was at these cities that the advantages of the UCR Armor and Airpower were diminished, forcing UCR Soldiers to go door-to-door and clear buildings before the Armor could move forward.

After one month, the UCR advance in the south had reached the Mediterranean and had to turn northward. With the advance northward, the northern section of the UCR Force began to advance as well. They began to squeeze the enemy between the two groups. The Jihadi and Moorington-Remnant forces, who were already fighting each other, began to feel the pressure mount as supplies and men began to dry out. They began to fight for every inch of land they had left, how few they were.

[ooc: I like the "2 Months Days" thingy :D]

JIHADI extremists were certainly being pressed back, fighting both the godless Moorington remnants and the fiendish UCR troops. They had in recent weeks been storing their energies for the final offensive, having failed to establish themselves in Turkey. Their attempt to rally Vineyard to the conflict failed, their attacks on UCR troops failing, all the while, the RSA had disappeared off the map, their long-hated enemies in Kopparbergs dead as well. Their purpose was without aim and Allah seemingly cursed them in their hellish cesspool of blood.

Nonetheless, they could not change themselves. The leadership in Istanbul/Constantinople vowed to stand until the last man. Some of them fled the country, seeking refuge elsewhere. The sensible leaders on the Anatolia contemplated surrender:

TO UCR command:

Allah be with you.

We have struggled, and though Allah has vanquished Kopparbergs, we find ourselves in the struggle still. It is the resolve of those in power to cease this fight and render unto your armies the command of our areas, for use in extinguishing the infidel Moorington forces. We cannot guarantee that the same sign may be taken upon our brethren, especially as the highest command have barricaded themselves in a fortress in Istanbul. Nonetheless, our fighters have been ordered to retire and go home in peace, leaving all neighbors in peace as well, as we have lost every reason to continue fighting.

The message was sent casually and found its way to JIHADI headquarters inn Istanbul, where the radical leadership used it to cement their righteous struggle against the UCR forces. But with Anatolia lost, it was only shortening their time for struggle and bringing the battle closer than expected. In their last days, they would wield a weapon that would stun even the UCR forces.

The UCR Military Command was stunned. JIHADI members had upped and surrendered themselves to UCR forces all across Anatolia. A note was received from the apparent leadership of the JIHADI forces in Anatolia, stating that they were abandoning their cause, mainly because the Jewish state of Kopparbergs had fallen into anarchy. With JIHADI forces surrendering in numerous regions, the UCR Analysts stated that the Moorington-Remnant was their main foe now, even though Istanbul was still in Fanatical JIHADI hands.

The UCR forces pressed their attack on the Moorington-Remnant. Their goal was to force the Moorington off the Anatolian Peninsula. With a freed up angle of attack directly at the heart of the Moorington-Remnant Anatolian defense it would come as a shock to be hit to violently and so suddenly. Especially when you consider that only a week ago the UCR forces were so intent on eliminating the JIHADI forces in Anatolia.

The sudden UCR offensive into the center of the Moorington-Remnant caught the Moorington-Remnant forces off-guard. Much of their defenses in that region were designed to defend against the light JIHADI weaponry and to stop a sudden terrorist attack, not a full on offensive by a Modern Fighting force. Their defense was not adequate enough to stop a full rout of the Moorington-Remnant Forces. Much of what's left of Moorington-Remnant in Anatolia has surrendered to UCR forces.

With the Moorington-Remnant off the Anatolian Peninsula, the last bastion of JIHADI of the Peninsula also surrendered voluntarily. They were offered partial amnesty by the UCR military much the same as the other JIHADI forces who surrendered earlier. A few held valuable information about the numbers inside Istanbul and they were offered further amnesty. UCR Generals planned the next stage of the Operation, but they were in a conundrum. Did they go directly to Istanbul and the fanatical JIHADI defenders? Or, did they go across the Galipoli Peninsula and the Final Remnants of the Moorington-Remnant?

With Anatolia in the hands of UCR forces the commanders immediately gave all the troops a week off. The thought that the troops deserved it was shared by many of the higher ranking officers. During this certain units were being sent to rear positions and rear guard troops were being brought up to replace them. In this way fresher soldiers would take over for the tired ones, thus providing some much needed relief for the tired units.

With the week off completed and the final unit changes being done the plan was decided. The UCR forces would forgo Istanbul for now and assault the Galipoli Peninsula. Although back in World War I the peninsula was the stage for the disastorous Galipoli Campaign, this time it would be different. The UCR forces held one side of the Dardenelles, while the Moorington-Remnant held the other. A UCR bombardment of epic proportions would happen all along the Peninsula as Artillery, Rockets, and Airstrikes continually bombard the Peninsula. Then a force of 12,000 UCR Marines, which sadly have had no experiance in this series of operations, would hit the beaches and take the Peninsula.

The Galipoli Campaing had been a rousing success for the UCR Operation. The bombardment made it impossible for the Moorington-Remnant forces to dig-in and fortify the area. Without this, they were easy targets for the UCR Marines who quickly overran the whole of the peninsula. In a matter of days UCR forces were baring down on the final defense of the Mooringon-Remnant. I took them only 20 days to eliminate the Moorington-Remnant as a viable threat.

With the last vestiges of Moorington escaping into Bulgaria and Vineyard Held Greece, the UCR turned it's attention to Istanbul. The degenerate whole of the JIHADI Group. Only by taking that city would the UCR rid the world of the JIHADI menance. Also by doing this, the Middle East would once again become a region of peace in the world.

JIHADI leaders met for a last time, as they prepared for the greatest battle in their lives. They were certain that their heroism would be emulated in the entire world, as they preached the end of things that were already done and other things which were never to end in any lifetime. The last load of explosives was set for deployment, and if UCR forces did try to attack Istanbul, they would fail miserably.

SIC TO UCR:

The Emirate has been following this conflict in its closing, and though we had been unable to assist any time earlier, we would like to demonstrate our friendship and new-found alliance bonds by sending portions of our fleet to help in your final operations in Istanbul. We can assist in combat operations by sea to support your land offensives with any of your naval vessels operating in the Sea of Marmara, to close the gap between the two sides of Istanbul and starve them of logistical support from each other.

We thank you for your generosity. We will welcome your Fleet in the Sea of Marmara as we have few of our own in the sea itself. Most of out Fleet is still located in the Black Sea. With the combined power of our military, we will overcome these Islamic Extremists!

-Eastern Thrace and Western Anatolia. 1 week since the end of Operation: Final Justice-

With Moorington done for, the UCR turned it's attention to the City of Istanbul. It was held by the most extreme of the extremists and they would fight like wild beasts, because they truly beleived that what they were doing would make their place in the afterlife higher. Although the UCR itself was secular, most of it's citizens were Muslims and even they did not like the JIHADI extremists. Instead of pulling them apart, like JIHADI wanted, the attacks on the UCR had only brought the Muslims closer together with the Christian Minorities. Now, nearly 7 months later, JIHADI had all but fallen. Only those who were extremely fanatical remained in Istanbul. It was the culmination of everything that had happened before and would cement the end of JIHADI forever.

The UCR planners had developed multiple plans and contingency plans over the course of the week since the end of the last Operation. Out of all of these plans the one with the fewest disadvantages was chosen, because the UCR forces knew little of what was going on inside the city, so going in with a versatile, if cautious, plan was needed. The opening stage of the plan called for a general seige of the city, much like the seige of Tabriz so many years ago for the UCR forces. The memories of that battle still were fresh in some minds, as it was the second bloodiest battle in UCR history, second only to Tehran which had it's own bad memories. During the seige, Special Forces units will be deployed VIA Panther Helicopter into the city. These units will be used as a forward unit, relaying information and causing havoc among the enemy. From their the plan will be made as we go along.

SIC: The Emirate fleet, receiving permission from the Ministry and confirmation from the UCR, set sail from Al-Iskandariyah to Crete, where they would debark for the Sea of Marmara, to aid UCR troops in the greatest siege since that of Bandar Abbas long ago. The Emirate made way through the seas, set to arrive within the week.

SIC JIHADI: With the encirclement nearly complete, JIHADI extremists began to camp out in the mosques, schools, hospitals, and other refuges of international renown as "safe haven" for common citizens. As many people as they could conscript were ordered to don vests of TNT, which wrapped completely around their bodies; the majority of those ordered were reluctant bystanders, seized by extremists, claiming that dying in the name of Allah was honorable and worthy of the holiest persons of struggle. The high command were convinced that with an entire population as living bombs would deter UCR efforts, of course, all of it unknown to the UCR. In addition, every opportunity was made to ensure the city was itself a giant bomb, ready to be set off. As much explosive as could be hoarded from all accesses and armories were employed in the defense of the city from the infidels.

The seige was on. Nothing was getting into the city through either land-routes, which were under UCR control, or through the waterways of the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara, which are under UCR and ALM control respectively. Skirmishes with JIHADI forces in the suburbs are common-place, although casualties on both sides are few and far between. Caches of small arms and minor explosives are found on occasion during a UCR sweep of some suburbs.

During all of this, LS7-9 were being inserted into the city via Panther Helicopter. Although the danger of an enemy RPG hitting the helicopter was low, the pilots flew quite high just to be safe. The teams were going to land at Taksim Square and from there they will do their respective missions.

The Emirate fleet was positioned in the Sea of Marmara, ready to commence operations against the JIHDAI insurgents, encamped in the city. What their intentions were were unknown, but united in the struggle against Islamic extremism, the Emirate would send the true enemies of Allah to the fiery pits of Hell with their UCR allies. The Emirate fleet lacked sufficient firepower on its own, but whatever missiles were launched were coordinated carefully to ensure that the targets were destroyed effectively. Additionally, the fleet commander considered an amphibious operation, when a landing was more certain against the escarpments. In the meantime, the city would crumble until the JIHADI extremists surrendered or their dead corpses littered the streets.

In the first of many irrational acts, the JIHADI insurgents carefully plotted the destruction of the only bridge connecting Europe and Asia proper. At dawn the next day, a fiery spectacle was clearly visible to all forces in the area. Who knew why they destroyed their own accesses?

-Istanbul. 4 Days since Operation: Paid In Full began-

The explosion that rocked the city in the morning really set the tone for the rest of the battle. It showed the UCR/Emirate Forces that were assailing the city that JIHADI was willing to take the entire city out before they would surrender it. Initial reports from the LS Teams inserted in the city yesterday were not good. They reported that numerous areas were well stocked with weapons as well as explosives ranging from Grenades and Dynamite to C3 and C4. The UCR Command firmly beleived that JIHADI was planning to blow up entire neighborheads to deny the UCR and it's allies control of the city and thus the Bosporus. Without this vital link the UCR Fleet would be bottled up in Black Sea.

A plan was hastily drawn up. The LS Teams would locate large caches of enemy ordinance and mark them for a sortie. It is hoped that by doing this, damage will be kept to a smaller area, and only buildings will be lost instead of entire neighborhoods. The only flaw in the plan was that the LS Teams were located on the European side of the Bosporus. And without the only land link across the strait, they are stuck. To help counteract this, the main UCR advance will be switched from the Asian side to the European side. The assault was planned to begin at 5 AM this morning, but due to the bridge destruction it was pushed back to 7 PM, with hopes that a night-time attack will throw the JIHADI off. Also, plans for two more LS Teams, teams 1 and 2 respectively, to be deployed on the Asian side are being drawnup, but it'll be atleast a day before they are deployed.

JIHADI insurgents, as the last bastion in Turkey not succombed to either UCR or ALM-affiliated troops [as the latter drew up naval forces upon the islands in the Aegean], began to finalize their plans waiting for the final assault. It was only in this honorable manner that the JIHADI insurgents could exact the very victory that was due for them. If the enemy would wait though, victory would be slowly stolen from their grasp.

Rest assured, victory or defeat, they would not see the light of day once it began.

-ALM Naval Command-

To UCR Armed Forces;

We have wrested control from JIHADI and other mutinous elements upon the islands of the Aegean, and once this conflict is resolved, we are ready to revert their control to your armed forces for final authority. Those few who have surrendered have been interred in ALM camps, to aid in our intelligence gathering, concerning the nature and extent of JIHADI armed preparations, and their future plans. If any information comes out, we will gladly share them with you.

In the meantime, may Allah preserve our great lands!

-Istanbul. 6 Days since Operation: Paid In Full began-

The LS Teams had been very busy in the past 48 hours, already they had neutralized upwards of 5 chaches of Explosives, but more and more reports were coming that there were more chaches out there. Again and again LS Teams and increasing numbers of UCR Regulars and Emirate Forces were deployed all across Instanbul to try and neutralize the Caches. Sometimes the LS Teams had to fall back due to JIHADI resistance. Indeed, it looked like there was too little time for the LS Teams to neutralize the Caches and Istanbul would suffer untold amounts of damage. The loss of lives would be staggering. So, again, the UCR didn't give up, but instead perservered in the name of life.

With the UCR/Emirate forces inside of Istanbul trying to neutralize the Caches, the UCR Military began it's advance into Istanbul. It couldn't wait any longer. Merkava Tanks and Numera IFV/APCs spearheaded a large advance into Istanbul. The force of nearly 70,000 UCR Soldiers, was made up of some of the most Veteran Units in the UCR Army, some even seeing action back in Tehran or Tabriz, so many years ago.

-UCR Unified Command-

To: ALM Naval Command.

We congratulate you on your capture of the island. It takes one less area off of our minds. Still, Istanbul lies well within JIHADI control, and our forces aren't making much headway. We'll keep you posted.

The work of the LS teams were in fact attacking the attack, but the UCR forces, so impatient with their progress had lunged forward nonetheless. It was this moment that JIHADI forces began their counter attack. Crazed fanatics were charging from every direction as the UCR forces dug deep into the city. Many of them died from the crossfire, but unknown to the first wave of UCR troops, these terrorists were laced with tanks of gasoline and plastics. The idea was to spread the fuel across the ground, and a timed fuse of about 15 seconds would detonate the explosives on their bodies, inflicting damage on unprotected personnel within a 15 meter radius, while leaving a trail off fire to an even larger cache of explosives. By the 30th minute of the start of these hostilities, explosions were ringing left and right in the city, as these last suicide attackers were set about making progress against the infidels to their very last breath.

[The one-kill solution to everything]

At the start of the 7th Day into Operation: Paid in Full, an eerie silence fell over the city of Istanbul. LS units were surveying the damage after the UCR forces made a surprise attack on the stronghold, and it was extensive. The few JIHADI operatives that were present had been killed. The remainder were either dying, surrendering, or waiting to die. It was a massive suicide front, aimed at inflicting the maximum amount of damage on the attack.

At noon, the city was declared clear by UCR forces, and the conflict itself had ended. But remained was a task to rebuild the world, scarred by hatred and fueled by rage. It would be many weeks and months before Istanbul was rendered safe again.
