The Holy City of Mecca, the Arabian Province, Icovir, 7:00 PM Desert Time

The Caliph pulled a sweater around his shoulders. At night time, the Arabian Desert was like ice.

He was here tonight, in the Holy City of Mecca, to announce his plans to annex Somalia into the Caliphate. He was afraid that he would come across as imperial, so he had to carefully word his speech. He had had his eyes on this territory for a long time now.

He chose the Holy City of Mecca for his speach, for his intentions were for a stronger, more powerful Islamic State.

The speech was being broadcasted on every Icovirian Channel (leading the young of Icovir to complain because they were missing "Spongemuhammad Square Pants"), and Icovirian News Stations set up shop in a number of different countries to make sure that these countries heard the news.

The Caliph stepped up to the podium, being guarded by 5 Mujahideen Soldiers. He fumbled with the microphone a little, and then began his speech.

Brothers and Sisters in Islam! All inhabitants of the world! By law, I step up to this podium that has been blessed by Allah and I deliver my speeches to help rebuild a Caliphate lost since the time of the Ottomans.

Today, I have great news for the Caliphate. Today, we are preparing to liberate Somalia.

The Caliph took a dramatic pause as mumbling was heard in the crowd.

Why Somalia, might you ask?

We have HEARD the cries of our Muslim Brothers and Sisters there, being persecuted!

We have HEARD the cries of the people of Somalia when they are attacked by the Ethiopians!

We have HEARD the pleas of the Somali government when they ask for protection, but yet recieve none!

And finally, we have heard the Somali children cry when they look to the Northeast and ask their parents "why isn't Icovir helping us?"

Well, the children need not cry anymore! Our fellow Muslims need not cry anymore! The Somali government need not cry anymore!

But you know who is about to cry?

The Ethiopians!

The Caliph took another dramatic pause as there was extreme applause.

Queen Khadijah, President Xavier Manuel, Vizier Muhammad ibn Al-Khattab, myself, and the rest of the Icovirian government have been talking about this. We are unanimous.

Today, we are giving Ethiopia 1 week to respond to this warning:

Cease and desist with your attacks on Somalia or face the wrath of the Caliphate.

We are giving this message to the people of Somalia:

Your liberation is coming.

The Caliph ended his speech on this dramatic note, and enjoyed the applause. He walked away from the podium and into his private jet. The jet flew off, headed for the Military Base in Riyadh, the Arabian Province. There, the Caliph hoped to talk with the military about how this operation would be carried out.


OOC: What Earth is this on? I don't know and I don't care. I just need some people to either support me or oppose me, and I need someone to play the role of the Ethiopians (both their government and army). By "support", I mean to actually enter this war and/or donate some weapons.

The Caliph's face appeared on Icovirian television screens again to deliver another message.

Today, Icovir has decided to send troops into Somalia to defend her people. Icovir will stay in Somalia until there is no more of the Ethiopian threat.

We will send, at first, 200,000 troops to the country. We expect ful cooperation from our allies and the government of Somalia.

10 Regiments of the Icovirian Army (each consisting of 2,000 men) lined up on the Eritriean/Somalian border. They were supported by 1 Junior Icovirian Fleet posted on the Somalian border and they were also supported by 100 Fighter Jets.

Meanwhile, 100,000 Icovirian troops were placed in the Province of the Horn of Africa to defend Icovir from any potential hostilities from the Ethiopians.

The Icovirian troops began their march into Somalia. They were supplied for a full year's worth (this was the length the Caliph expected the Ethiopian War to last).

Tick, tock, tick, tock.

The clocks continued their steady march forward in time, marshalling all of its inhabitants to do its bidding. For Eurasia, this march meant the inescapable rise of war.

The building was illuminated by large, digital displays showing the location of His Majesty's Armed Forces. Currently, a vast fleet of Eurasian troops sailed towards Ethiopia, one hundred thousand combat troops total, plus logistical support, not to mention eight Royal Navy attack groups and sixteen squadrons from the Royal Air Force. Ethiopia would kneel before Eurasia.

"Mr. Crompton, we have a signal from the HMS Devonshire, the flagship," reported one of the communications personnel.

"What did they say?" replied the Minister for Defence, Elliot Crompton, curtly.

"They're about to round South Africa. They should reach their target in the next day."

"Brilliant. Inform the Prime Minister, and His Majesty. Also, reply to the fleet - instruct them that this is an issue of total war."

"Right away, sir."

The nation of Toopoxia fails to understand the reasoning behind liberating a nation already in the process of liberation, needless to say we are formally declaring our intentions to assist the Ethiopians and to declare war on Icovir.

Within minutes of this statement being released the Organisation was preparing for warfare, the Navy was readying for transport down the Volitaian Sea to Somalia, Internal Forces of the Toopoxican military were securing Islamic Colonies in the South to save from possible revolution from the plague like Muslim migrants.

"Sir" said the Vizier, panting. "It looks as though Toopoxia is taking some Muslim lands"

"Dang" said the Caliph. "It looks as if we can't call our Muslim brothers on this one. We'll have to do this alone. Ask the Eurasians to stay out of this one: we need their help to defend Somalia and fight off the Ethiopians.

As for now, prepare 5 Brigades, consisting of 2,000 men, to defend Icovir against any potential attacks, and order 10 Brigades of 2,000 men to attack Toopoxia"

"Yes sir". The Vizier then ran up to a random General and yelled: "You heard him!".

The Caliph repeated his orders once he got to the Military Base in Riyadh in the Arabian Province. He added:

"We cannot afford another war like the Beiraqi-Icovirian War. I want you to finish this off immediatly".

"Yes sir" said General Josh Natock, the head of the Icovirian Army. "But, how do you propose we stop the Toopoxians?".

"Good point, General" said the Caliph, deep in thought. "We will have to invade Ethiopia earlier than planned. There is a strong chance that many more will enter this war. Stay sharp and make sure that Icovir wins this one. This will be a glorious day for the Caliphate!"

The skies were partly cloudly, and there was light rain scattered throughout the beaches. All in all, it was quite picturesque...except for the troops marching down on the city.

Having seized the city, the troops arrested all Somalian citizens due to security purposes, barricaded off the city, and awaited the second contingent of troops - fifty thousand more men. Then, they would advance towards Ethiopia.

A formal apology was made towards the Somalian government.

Somewhere in Somalia. 11:00 AM Desert Time

The Caliph stepped off of his jet and walked out into the middle of nowhere. Somalia was a vast wasteland, still recovering from the onslaught of Ethiopian attacks.

The Caliph, at first, wanted this land for reasons of greed. Now his reason was genuine: to stop the murder that the Ethiopians commited daily to the people of this land.

Moments later, the Somali President arrived in his beat-down jeep. It was too dangerous for him to enter in an orderly fasion, for if the Ethiopians spotted him, they would kill him.

He got out and shook hands with the Caliph.

"As Salaamu Alaykum" said the Somali President.

"Walaykum Salaam" replied the Caliph. He then continued. "Let's get onto business".

"Right then"

"As you may or may not know, the Toopoxians have entered this war on the blood-thirsty Ethiopians' side. It seems obvious to me that the world hates the Islamic States. We must stick together, correct? Therefore, I propose that Somalia enters the Caliphate.

The Caliphate works as a federation, which means that you will have the right to govern yourselves while we have the final say in matters"

"I like the way this sounds" replied the Somali President. "But, not all of my people are Muslim"

"It is alright" said the Caliph, thinking that this may be too easy. "The Caliph provides protection to all living under it, Atheist, Pagan, Agnostic, Ahl-al-Kitaab...

However, we NEED you to join forces with the Caliphate. The Ethiopians won't fare too well when they are up against the might of Allah's State rather than up against your country which is recovering from a Civil War"

"What are the...conditions for this annexation?" said the Somali President. He was no fool of politics, and hated sweet talk.

"So, I see you..."

"I want to know now" snapped the Somali President.

"Ok then" said the Caliph, a little taken aback. "All Icovir requires is that you help us in our war against Ethiopia. After we silence the threat that they pose to both you and I, then we can negotiate whether or not you wish to remain a permanent member of the Caliphate".

"I like these terms, Caliph" said the Somali President. "However, we were conned before by those barbaric Ethiopians, and we don't want to be conned again. Therefore, we will have to observe the way you act towards us for the next month or so"

"Very well then" replied the Caliph. "It is my wish that you join The Caliphate of Icovir. We will continue defending your country, Insha'Allah, against those barbaric Ethiopians".

"Defense means NOTHING!" yelled the Somali President suddenly. "I want you to go in and strike those Ethiopians ON THEIR OWN SOIL! Do NOT wait until they strike first!".

"Yes sir!" said the Caliph; half-sarcasticly. "It is a good idea. However, as the threat of Toopoxia is ever-present, we will need to combine armies"

"Yes, we will do that. Insha'Allah" said the Somali President. "My army consists of 1,000,000, but we will need many to defend our country for I know that it'll be difficult for the Caliphate to defend it's own land, our land, and also attack the barbarians".

"Yes, it makes sense" said the Caliph. "I propose that you donate 200,000 Somali troops to the cause, and we'll deal with the rest. Do we have a deal?".

"We have a deal" replied the Somali President. With a sigh of relief, he signed the contract the Caliph wipped out. The Caliph then signed it.

"After a period of how long will Icovir be able to assume control over Somalia?" said the Caliph.

"After a period of a month, PROVIDED that you do a good job defending Somalia and attacking the Barbarians" replied the Somali President.

"Yes sir" said the Caliph, and, as he was getting back on his jet said: "I am looking forward to having the Muslim Ummah grow so that we can defend ourselves and our religion".

...Negotiations are underway with the Somali President, and the Caliphate is confident that the people of Somalia will be liberated from the barbaric Ethiopians. Allah bless.

The Caliph ended his speech on a lighter note, and felt that things at been going well. He sat back in his chair, glad to have some time to himself. He began to doze off when suddenly the door opened and Vizier Al-Khattab spoke.

"Sir!..."

"What is it NOW?!" said the Caliph, half in anger and half in fear.

"The Somali President has been assassinated" said the Vizier.

"...What?" the Caliph whispered.

"You heard me" said the Vizier.

This would make the Caliph's plans go awry. The Caliph quickly called a state of emergency and demanded that he be broadcasted again on all Icovirian television channels.

Citizens of Icovir, I have just recieved word that the Somali President has been assassinated. The Caliphate wasn't expecting this to happen, but we must act quickly.

We are certain that this was the work of the barbaric Ethiopians, and Icovir can stand this no more.

I would normally have taken full control over Somalia, but the Ethiopian threat is too great. I will have to somehow defend all 3 sides of the Icovirian-Ethiopian border. I will, instead, grant the control of Ethiopia to the Eurasians until further notice.

Icovir's priorities right now isn't to conquer Somalia; they are to annihilate the Ethiopians

The Caliph turned around and spoke again to the Vizier. "Order the planned 200,000 Somali troops into Ethiopia, and accompany them with air support. I want to have, also, 100,000 Icovirian troops down there with them. In this case, have them be supported by 100 fighters and also have 100 bombers.

Tomorrow, Insha'Allah, we'll pick out targets for our air raids. But for now, order the immediate march into Ethiopia"

"Yes sir" said the Vizier. He then saluted the Caliph and walked out of the palace, headed for the Riyadh Military Base in the Arabian Province.

Though the Empire prefers not to enfore a divionary policy on how it treats people I advise that if or when Ethopia is assualted you allow for the Scandinvan Empire to occupy it due to the basis of it being a Christain that would more easily accept Christian occupiers over having Moslem forces inside of her borders. We bases this on the reasoning that, for example, we occupied Somalia we would be seen as tryants while if you do it would be far easier and the principal would be reverse in the case of Somalia. So do you think we can come to this deal?

The 1st and 2nd Divisions of the Toopoxican foreign assult had formed up just outside the City of Naibe, ready to board the Troop Transports when the time came, for the mean time each squad stared up at the stage erected for this vast briefing, the Officers kept their soldiers into rank as the Dictator Du'Font rose to the platform and appeared on the widescreen, the troops, encouraged by their officers, cheered with ecstacy.

"Friends, today we go to war with the Muslim, those who have ravaged this land and indeed the world, holding the banner of religious intolerence they have for too long managed to hide from the persecution that they have dealt upon others, but we have the means and the power to have this persecution end, be you Slavic, Scemitic or Sino you have a duty upon the world, will you be the liberators who liberate?!"

The crowd cheered with celebratory yays, despite this rousing speech the Soldiers were long from duty yet, the first strike was arising upon the seas, 60 of the Toopoxican Submarines were moving just ahead of the fleet of Destroyers, accompanied by the strongest Battleships and most efficient Aircraft Carriers.

Riyadh Military Base, Arabian Province, Icovir. 1:00 AM Desert Time

The Caliph walked into the military base and gave the standard salute and the standard Muslim greeting.

"As Salaamu Alaykum generals; admiral".

"Walaykum Salaam, Caliph" replied the generals and the admiral.

"It's time that we fortify the defense of Somalia and Icovir through the sea. THe Toopoxians haven't striked yet, but I'm sure it'll be by the sea.

Admiral Ifajr, how many fleets do you suggest?"

The admiral saluted and replied. "We will need at least one fleet to defend each water border of Icovir"

"That'll be 3 fleets, then?" said the Caliph.

"Yes sir"

"Great, then send 2 Grand fleets to protect the Northern and Middle water borders, and send 1 Junior fleet to protect the Arabian water border"

"Yes sir"

The Caliph then turned to the General of the Air Force, and also talked to the General of the Army.

"As always, I need you to heavily defend Mecca and Madinah. We cannot sacrifice the Holy Cities"

"Yes sir" said both generals.

The Caliph began talking only to the General of the Army. "I will need you to post troops heavily on the Icovirian-Ethiopian border, and also on the Icovirian-Somali border. I will also need you to provide MUCH more troops for the invasion of Ethiopia. Also remember the defense of the rest of the nation".

"Yes sir" replied the General of the Army. "As to the defense of the nation, I'll be sure to get every member of the National Guard up on that".

The Caliph spoke exclusively to the General of the Air Force.

"I will need you to support both the defense of the Caliphate and the invasion of Ethiopia with massive air power. I will need the whole Air Force on this one"

"Yes sir" said the General.

"Well men, it is settled. I will, Insha'Allah, come here later after 'Asr prayer to discuss troop numbers. Wasalam".

"Well men, are the troop numbers ready?" said the Caliph.

"Yes sir, they are" replied the generals and admiral.

Official Communique From The Skgorrian Foreign Ministry

It has been some time since we have seen Icovir on the international scene, and we sent them greetings. We also wish them well in their assault, for through battle they will be made strong.

Eurasian troops marched proudly throughout the streets and avenues of Somalia's capital. Their guns and armour glistled in the afternoon sun. In the midst of their march laid a convoy of black Land Rovers. The procession advanced towards the Presidential Palace, and the vehicles pulled in front of it. From the lead Land Rover came forth the Interim Governor of Somalia, Catherine Sullivan, Duchess of Hillingshire.

She strode in a martial fashion into the office of the President; the Eurasian troops had already set everything up in preparation for her rule.

"Ladies and gentlemen, let's get this party started," she laughed. "Martial law is now in effect. The Posse Comitatus Act is hereby suspended over Somalia. I want all Ethiopians we can find arrested. I want the borders sealed. I want checkpoints everywhere. Do it, now!"

Not given much choice in the matter the first Toopoxican navy was moving towards the southern tip of the Icovir nation, the strongest in submarine quantity but also the weakest in frigate support, the submarines moved into a defensive formation around the Battleships which moved in towards the enemy seas.

The frigates and destroyers moved in to disrupt the enemy fleet movements, covered by the fighter wings from the Aircraft Carriers and a bombardment on the enemy fleet by the Battleships naval cannons, the Submarines pulled off from the fleet and moved in to engage the enemy submarines.

(OOC: sorry for the sterile post and the lack of Ethiopia posting, I've had a kinda bad day...)

"Mr. Abdullah, should we commence air strikes?"

"Not right now", the voice of the Caliph. "We should wait a while before striking Ethiopia or Toopoxia. These nations may have very strong air support.

I want you to send 100 Mujahideen (Icovirian Special Forces) into Ethiopia to do some unorthodox stealth missions. Have them plot targets and sketch out what they see".

"Yes sir" replied Vizier Muhammad ibn Al-Khattab.

"As for now, I should address the Somali people. They are probably confused as to why there are Eurasians here"

The Caliph snapped his fingers and the Caliph's Guard came holding a chair and a megaphone. The Caliph stood up on the chair and grabbed the megaphone.

People of Somalia! his voice rang through the Somali capital. The chaos still continued.

People of Somalia! the Caliph yelled it this time. The chaos still continued.

That moment, a Caliph's Guard soldier shot into the air. The chaos immediatly stopped.

People of Somalia! Today, the Caliphate has granted the charge of this country to the Eurasians. The Caliphate, meanwhile, will be defending itself from the supports of the swine, the Toopoxians. The Caliphate will also be attacking Ethiopia.

At that moment, there was a loud noise as the Brigades stormed into the capital. The Somali people ran to the side as tanks and soldiers crowded the capital, leaving a small circle uncovered around the Caliph's "soapbox".

These aren't the only troops the Caliphate will send on a Jihad. There are thousands more outside the city! We will show the swine it's place! We will, Insha'Allah, annihilate the Ethiopians and transfer power from the Eurasians to the Caliphate, ultimately protecting Somalia and strengthening the Muslim Brotherhood!

A tear came to the Caliph's eye, and his voice was shaky.

Today, is your liberation!

The Somali crowd cheered, and, in a dramatic way, the Caliph jumped down from his chair.

Go onward, Mujahideen! Onward to victory! Onward to martyrdom!

The Caliph then kissed his fingers and pointed them in the direction of Ethiopia. At this moment, as planned, the soldiers began to march into Ethiopia and the Caliph took his chair and ran to the side of the streets to make way for the tanks.

Airplanes were heard overhead, and the Imams of the Great Mosques (in Mecca and Madinah) came into the streets, yelling "Allahu Akbar!".

The Caliph's Guard went into the Caliph's Jet and took out a handful of guns. One of them yelled: "Any who wish to march forward to Martyrdom and to Jihad, gather your weapons!".

As also planned, a Somali man walked up to the Caliph's Guard and took a weapon. He then began marching with the Icovirian troops.

A Sheikh (Learned Islam Scholar) walked up to the Caliph's Guard and took his weapons. He then yelled: "Onward to Jihad!" and began walking with the troops.

The Caliph smiled and entered his Jet. It was his hope that this dramatic way of sending the troops into Ethiopia would raise the moral and support of the Somalis.

Governor Sullivan:

The nation of Somalia is in a precarious position. Due to the Ethiopian attacks on the nation, and the fact that the majority of the country remains ravaged by the dogs of war, HM Government has deemed Somalia unfit to regain Home Rule in the near future, even if Toopoxia and Ethiopia were to cease their assaults.

Therefore, I am instructing you to take all measures necessary to ensure that the transfer of power to Icovir is to be delayed until such time as Somalia has been deemed industrialised, modern, democratic, and stable. However, keep in mind that Icovir is a strong ally to the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, Eurasian troops are to initiate the distributation of identification cards to all individuals, and arrest those that fail to produce adequate identification afterward. Somalia is to be deemed a dependent state of the United Kingdom. Within a fortnight, teams of engineers and construction crews will be entering Somalia to initiate development and construction projects. Assist them in all ways possible.

Ethiopia

A defensive war, just what the Ethiopians were expecting, it was only time that told when it would happen, now of course, Defensive forts rose into activity as satelites detected the approaching enemy force, the Somalians could hardly ignore these forts but in their unorganised manner could not afford to take them head on.

almost a third of the Ethiopian tanks had charged on headwards to face off the enemy armour, behind the lines the logistics force was preparing for the hardiest supply mission it had ever undertaken, they knew full well that the Somalian mob charge would easily run down ammo, they had to be well prepared for the coming onslaught.

OOC: The majority of Ethiopia is non-Muslim. I just know that Christianity and Islam have an equal number of followers in Ethiopia (45%). However, the government has officially declared itself secular.

IC: Ethiopian-Somali border. 10:00 AM Desert Time
The troops began their march the previous hour. They were prepared to die for the Somali people.

Captain Hussein, a veteran of the Beiraqi-Icovirian War, was leading the troops in "Operation Ummah" (what the Caliph called this war), also.

He continued marching while twirling around his gun. He then heard a sound.

"QUIET TROOPS!" he yelled, and the order was passed down officer by officer until all the Icovirian troops were quiet; 2,000,000 people. Captain Hussein, however, didn't wait until everyone got quiet.

He told the officer closest to him to order the tanks to the front (the tanks were in the middle). The order was passed down for the troops to move to the sides and let the tanks roll to the front.

"Now tell these men that we're going to get opposition pretty soon, for I hear incoming tanks".

The order was passed down, but the Icovirians were quiet; both in fear and readiness.

Captain Hussein ordered the tanks to roll along ahead, and the Captain then ordered the Explosives Specialists up front. Their number was 1,000.

Captain Hussein then ordered the march to continue, with the line as follows:

1st: 2/3 Total Tanks (5,000 tanks)
2nd: Explosives Specialists (carrying grenade launchers, RPG's, etc.)
3rd: Regular soldiers
4th: 1/3 Total Tanks (2,500 tanks)

The march continued as the soldiers entered Ethiopia...

The Tanks took up a defensive position, lined up to barrage the enemy lines of Tanks who would no doubt be ahead, it was a shock attack, take them out from a range and then move in for the kill, in seeing the enemy Tanks upon the Horizon the T-55's opened fire on the enemy front line of tanks as they passed over the Ethiopian borders.

A wing of fighters swept over the Tank line and moved onwards to engage the rear-guard of logistics, as the enemy passed into Ethiopia their ability to take out Aircraft would slowly dwindle.

Captain Hussein looked through his binoculars and saw enemy tanks.

"Get ready me---" he was cut off mid-sentence as a tank about 100 feet in front of him exploded. All around Hussein ducked, and so did Hussein so that they could avoid the flying debris.

"Positions!" yelled Hussein. It was too bad that "positions" meant nothing to these men, for they weren't used to head-on combat, but rather guerrilla warfare.

Another tank exploded as it was hit. 2 tanks down in less than 5 minutes of battle.

Overhead, enemy aircraft swept over the troops and dealt damage to the middle of the lines. Captain Hussein then ordered the troops to break formation and spread out. Due to the number of troops, this took 15 minutes to happen. Captain Hussein then appointed different leaders in charge of a certain number of men, making the orders reach the troops faster (for he could just radio in the leaders).

He ordered 10 Black Eagle Tanks to take the front of the line, and they began firing back. One tank was destroyed, and Captain Hussein ordered a man with mines to run in the middle of the two sides and plant the mine; a suicide mission.

The man did so and was riddled to pieces by enemy aircraft. Captain Hussein then ordered the Icovirian Air Force to start doing some business.

First, he contacted the General of the Air Force. "We need all the Air Force over here that's not defending Icovir NOW!". Captain Hussein then ordered 1/3 of the Fighters to bring up the rear of the rest of the fighters. He ordered 2/3 of the fighters to go in the front. The bombers were in the middle. He ordered the bombers to, once they got above the opposing tanks and/or opposing troops, to drop their loads.

The fighters then battled their way through the opposing Air Force. The troops spread out, they began firing. Captain Hussein ordered the Explosives Specialists to begin their work. They went up behind the tanks and prepared to fire their weapons.

Captain Hussein contacted the General of the Army. "We'll need 2,000 brigades over here, ponto!".

then contacted the Caliph himself. "We'll need another approach to this. Try to get the Kenyans in to help us with troops and an approach".

The battle continued.

On these grounds, I declare Jihad against the Ethiopians.

We hold in our hands a great arsenal of weapons, from primitive to present tech (nuclear weapons). It will be a grave mistake on your part to not stop.

The Caliphate merely asks that you stop attacking Somalia and hand it over to us. If you have any fears of Ethiopians in Somalia, know that I follow the Qur'an and Sunnah. The Qur'an states that in a Jihad, we (Muslims) are not allowed to attack innocents. The Caliphate will, Allah Willing strike with full force your army.

The Caliph was once again in Somalia. This time, however, he was planning to enter Kenya.

He brought with him 100 Icovirian troops. His plan was to enter Kenya, talk with the Kenyan president, and somehow reach a deal that would allow the Caliphate to occupy Kenya until the end of this Four-Way War (should Kenya help Icovir, it will be a Five-Way War).

Before leaving, however, the Caliph would have to back up the troops entering Ethiopia. Entering in on one front would be foolish, and this was the Caliph's first mistake in the war.

The Caliph trusted the Eurasians to protect Somalia, so the Caliph removed all Icovirian troops in Somalia to go and attack Ethiopia (all together totaling a mere 200, for most had been sent to Ethiopia). The Caliph then ordered 1,000 Brigades presently defending Icovir (1,000,000 men) to attack Ethiopia.

These troops he ordered to approach Ethiopia from the Somali city of Boorama. Altogether, he sent 1,000,200 more troops to invade Ethiopia.

The troops that just invaded the Caliph took from defending Somalia. Now, the Caliph had to take a chance. The Caliph diverted more troops, this time from defending Jerusalem (though not all the troops defending Jerusalem), the third Holiest City in Islam. The Caliph also diverted the troops who were defending Alexandria, and trusted the care of the city instead in the hands of the Icovirian National Guard (he posted 5,000 Icovirian National Guardsmen to defend the city).

These troops, totaling a mere 700,000, were ordered to invade Ethiopia from Laascaanood.

Along with each group of troops now invading Ethiopia, the Caliph sent along 1,000 Fighters and 500 Bombers. Should the troops need any more Air Support, the Air Force numbers currently defending Icovir could be diverted instead to attack Ethiopia, also.

This left the Icovirian Invasion of Ethiopia happening on 3 fronts. With this now happening, the Caliph hoped that The Caliphate could defeat the Ethiopians, occupy Ethiopia (along with help from Errikland), and seal Somalia into The Caliphate. Afterwards, he could divert the entire Icovirian Military (Army, Navy, and Air Force) towards defending Icovir from the Toopoxians.

Should things work out as the Caliph planned, the War would be finished, Icovir would have most of Somalia (for the Caliph planned to give some land to the Eurasians for their help), Icovir would have Kenya, Icovir would not have suffered any damage, and Icovir would have part of Ethiopia (for the Caliph planned to give 75% of Ethiopia to Errikland).

Meanwhile, the Caliph sent the 100 troops he brought with him into the invasion of Ethiopia. It was a small force of Mujahideen Soldiers, so they would try to infiltrate stealthily and kill any Ethiopian officers, thereby disrupting the smooth flow of the Ethiopian military.

The Caliph then boarded his Jet and flew towards Kenya to meet its President.

The gray arrow is the movement of the Caliph (by himself, in his Jet (of course with his 2 Mujahideen bodyguards)) into Kenya to go and talk with the Kenyan President.

Blue arrows show the movement of Icovirian troops should the Kenyan President agree with the Caliph and let the Icovirians occupy Kenya.

IndentisationofibblableWe will continue to push your forces back for as long as is possible for us to do so, but in an effort to reduce on human casualties we would be welcome to open up a diplomatic resolution to this conflict, we are concerned with your invasion of Somalia, however we feel that in this area order is required more than our petty greedy squabble over who controls the territory, we would feel comfortable if you were willing to compensate the Ethiopian goverment for lives already lost and private industries inconvenienced by this conflict, maybe then we would be willing to listen to any demands you have for the territory.

With the tanks storm mostly over and the enemies hopefully temporarily reeling from the shock attack the Ethiopian president set about focusing his military power on defense, no doubt the Icovir would return in greater number and he didn't like the look of possible intervention by Kenya.

A defensive war also did not seem to be a great idea as it would just slowly delay the death of Ethiopia, the advantage would have to be switched and the push made on the Ethiopians behest, a conscription would more than account for the numbers required to push this force back.

The nation would need allies, Toopoxia was providing assistence but primarily, the president thought, for its own goals, convincing the Kenyan goverment not to join the Caliph would be a priority, he wrote that down, gaining support from India might also be of great importance as they could easily bring in naval expertise.

With a short list of goals scratched downt he President set about making some phone calls, conscripting the populace and dispatching diplomats, all of a sudden things did not seem the worst that they could possibly be.

The Caliph recieved news that the Icovirian forces were defeated. However, the Caliph still had hope as there were 3 more fronts that haven't been defeated.

The Caliph thought that the Ethiopians whom were just attacked from Mogadishu would be weak. So the Caliph diverted troops from defending the Province of the Horn of Africa and ordered them to take the place of the defeated Brigades. 1,000,000 men were sent into Ethiopia.

The Caliph couldn't afford any more troops to send into Ethiopia, so the Caliph began hoping that the Ethiopians would attack. Should they attack Somalia, the Eurasians would help. Should they attack Icovir, The Caliphate would have the advantage of defense. It would be easy for the Icovirians knew their land best.

The Caliph then recieved a call from Vizier Muhammad ibn Al-Khattab.

"Sir, it looks as if the Indians are preparing an army of some sorts".

The Caliph's mood turned from neutral to angry.

"Why?!" he said.

"I don't know sir. But should they send their army towards us, we'd have to divert some of the troops attacking Ethiopia".

"No problems, we'll get this war done quickly. Afterwards, we'll conquer some more, Allah Willing. Should the Indians attack, show them no mercy. Should they retreat, conquer their land...ALL of it"

The Vizier was also a religious advisor, and he didn't like the sound of that.

"Sir!" said the Vizier. "The Qur'an commands us to not transgress! We should NOT invade India, for they would be at our mercy! It'll displease Allah!".

This messed up the Caliph's plans.

"Fine then. Just defend against the Indians". He then slammed down the phone, without telling the Vizier how.

The Caliph picked the phone back and redialed the Vizier. "You are in charge of the Defense of Icovir, and I'll be in charge of the attack on Ethiopia. Should Ethiopia invade Somalia or Icovir, we'll both be in charge of the attack and defense".

The Vizier then ordered the heavily concentrated troops defending Mecca and Madinah to go and defend the Province of Oman. Should the Indians attack navaly, they would have to get through both the Icovirian navy and the ground troops.

Meanwhile, the Caliph had to contact the Eurasians. He needed Somalia now.

Conscripted Ethiopian forces held positions at the borders, they had been ordered to avoid conflict unless they were under fire, this campaign was hopefully coming to a peaceful close and no soldier wanted to disrupt any peaceful exchanges, taking up defensive positions around cities and in fields.

The Governor looked out upon the balcony attached to her office. The city lights gleamed in the night.

Pathetic. Kensington is far more majestic, far more opulent. God, what I would do to get out of this hellhole.

"Governor," a soldier called out crisply. "Icovir needs our help. Communiqué from the Caliphate."

"Hehehe. That sort of rhymed," the governor laughed. The soldier stared at her blankly. "Moving on then. Dismissed, soldier."

He marched back to his post. Sullivan grabbed her radio link to the military headquarters.

"Troops, this is what we've been waiting for. Execute Protocol 19, immediately. Prepare for total war."

The Calph was getting desperate, so he depended on the Ethiopian President to go to the Abandoned Isle.

That Isle took a lot of abuse before, for it was the butt of Icovir's nuclear tests. If the Caliph's plan wouldn't kill the Ethiopian President, the radiation would at least make me seriously ill, making Ethiopia in need of another leader.

The Caliph sent 2 Fighters and 1 Bomber to the Isle. The Fighters were to arrive first, with the message: "The Caliph just wanted to see if it was safe for him to land".

Afterwards, the Caliph's Jet would arrive, with the bomber behind it. It would fly right past the island. Then, the bomber would approach and do it's work.

The Caliph hoped now that his plan would work and that the Eurasians wouldn't be too harsh on the Somalians.

Should The Caliphate recieve the weapons it ordered from the Soviet Storefront, the War would most definatly turn in the favor of Icovir.

220 km from the shoreline

A Corporate Alliance Amur Class 750 lurked far away from Caliphate and Eurasian Naval Forces. It surfaced for a short amount of time and a man got out of the conning tower. He and another man took out a rail. He inserted a set of rechargeable batteries and charged up the rail. They inserted a long range UAV and pushed a button.

The rail reached full charge, fired the UAV into the sky for about 80 kilometers, then it will deploy its wings and have a 240 kilometer range. The rail's electromagnets were fused together from the launch and thrown over the side. The UAV would fly low under RADAR and take in radio transmissions and take pictures.

A satellite took in the data streaming in. While a Borei-class Submarine surfaced and launched a single ballistic missile in the South Indian Ocean. It was loaded with a single microsatellite that would lose orbit in 2 months.

The Corporate Alliance needed intelligence.

OOC: I use most of these conflicts as testing grounds for new weapons. The newest one is a ultralightweight 75mm Artillery Gun. It can be easily towed by most cars, requires only a basic knowledge of mechanics and the ability to follow pictoral instructions to put together. Its operation is extremely easy and it comes stamped on the weapon itself.

"You may be right, Vizier" said the Caliph. "I've been thinking during prayer. If someone plans to attack the Caliphate, Leafanistan would be the country"

"What do you suppose we do?" asked the Vizier

"Nothing". This shocked the Vizier. The Caliph explained. "Suppose it isn't them? We are spending enough money on this war as it is! We can't start funding for needless defense unless you want to start killing off some citizens, and I am NOT prepared to do that"

"Ok sir..." said the Vizier. The Caliph then walked away, leaving the Vizier alone while he prayed his personal supplication.

"Get my jet ready, pronto" said the Caliph when he reached his palace. "I want to meet with the Kenyan president beforeI go to the Ethiopian president".

The Vizier, Muhammad ibn Al-Khattab, slowly led the cargo ships in. The cargo ships then docked, and Mujahideen came to help the Soviets unload the ship.
