The Constantinalian government has finally annexed the Balkans under its control. This was done by a private ultimatum that they actually gave into. The government members of the former countries have been supplied with so much money as to retire for good.

Imperial building projects have begun; defenses as well as ports and many other things.

The Holy Confederacy of New Aeson is worried over the complete lack of transperancy in this matter. Considering Constantinalia's previous acts of blatant imperialism towards the nations in the Balkans, we find it unlikely that they would be eager to embrace Constantinalian rule. As such, we at this point are refusing to recognize the Constantinalian claim to this region, until and unless Constantinalia agrees to hold an immediate plebiscite and allow impartial observers to determine that the decision is legitimate.

IC: Refuse it if you like, just ask the governments of the annexed states (who happen to be billionares in retirement) if the annexation is legitimate. You refuse to accept that the Balkans is finally ours; you can't face the fact that Imperialism still lives.

The Empire of Constantinalia has been repeatedly warned by the Corporate Monarchy of Otagia to refrain from interfering with the affairs of Balkan nations, and have repeatedly ignored said warnings. Even with Overwatch forces already stationed in Macedonia and the surrounding area, and with the Sixth Fleet standing by in the Mediterranean, the Empire has continuously ignored our warnings, flagrantly violating the rights of the nations in the region.

Thus, I, Daniel Quetzal, Regent of Otagia, have no choice but to declare a state of war between the Corporate Monarchy and the Empire of Constantinalia. Constantinalian forces have twelve hours to evacuate the region before they are utterly annihilated. Any and all vessels flying the Constantinalian flag, or personnel providing aid and succor to the Empire will be deemed an enemy of the Monarchy and of the Republic of Macedonia, and will be dealt with appropriately.

The nations of the Balkans legitimately handed over control of their nations to us. The only reason we payed them off is to not inspire a revolution. Again: they signed annexation rights with a heavy heart, but it was of no choice to them: their nations economy were being slowly eaten up by the larger empire of Constantinalia.

And Otagia, what Republic of Macedonia? That is an Imperial province. Here's my position: pull out your forces from Macedonia or be completely and utterly destroyed there. You have no right to declare war on us nor position your troops in our Empire. Your aggressiveness has solved nothing.

Icovir asks that NO nation use nuclear weapons on the Balkan peninsula, as Icovir owns territory there. Any nuclear weapons that are fired at the Balkan peninsula will be seen as an act of war by Icovir, and we will show no mercy.

The Corporate Monarchy is happy to state that it does not maintain a nuclear arsenal and never will. Thus, we will be quite happy to refrain from using them. However, we cannot speak for the Empire of Constantinalia, which has repeatedly threatened the use of nuclear weapons. While we are attempting to neutralize their stockpile, we cannot guarantee that they will refrain from the ill-advised use of these weapons.
