The armies of Russiane watched as there comrades were utterly destroyed, by land mines and the General halted the forced march, 25000 Russiane sit on the border between Egypt and Isreal.

The General orders a 58 mile long trench to be dug and several forts are being started. They axiously await the expected Egyptian counter attack. The General sends and ergent message to the King requesting more troops and the time of arrival for the soldiers coming by sea from the north.

We are just setting up the pieces for the war, it hasn't started in full throatle yet, what you are seeing is notes from king to king and small inconsequential skirmishes.

"Send the order for General Ivanivich and the 7th Army to march for Cairo, tell them I don't care how many we lose, take that city. We need a place to rally the remaining troops on the front lines. Our ally in Saudi Arabia has yet to send troops. We are on our own."

OOC: They'll figure it out mate. They're new, so don't expect it to be perfect right off. They'll get the picture from us "Veterans" and they'll become better. It's how you, me, and everyone else learned, right? For noobs, this isn't really that bad. I think though that a nice training skirmish would help them see how a war should be fought, so I'll host wargames between myself and Britain to show them how one is done. I'll get to it on the IC now.

OOC: Consider the times man. The Military always has a mind set that they don't want to change things. Therefore, your developing tanks, isn't feasible.

OOC: How are they affording this war, anyway? I thought the Ottoman Empire was in a state of severe decline by the late 19th century/early 20th? Surely a war like this with Egypt, along with trying to keep control over the rest of the empire, would bankrupt them?
