Following a diplomatic fallout with the french consul in Algeris the French used this as a pretext to blockade and invade Algeria eventually colonizing the entire country however ever since colonization began the French have been met with resistance and it is this on going struggle for independance that continues to strain the relationship between Algeria and her "mother country"
