The United Empire of Romania
The principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia - for centuries under the suzerainty of the Turkish Ottoman Empire - secured their autonomy in 1856; they united in 1859 and a few years later adopted the new name of Romania. Early 1895, the United Empire was formed by the Count of Transylvania, Jason Scott Wolf, as Transylvania became part of Romania. In 1896, Jason was crowned the first Emperor of the United Empire. The reason behind this was the Count was of royal blood and had ruled Transylvania longer then the former leader of Romania. In late 1896, Moldova was added into the United Empire via a deal between Emperor Jason and the Russian Empire after being part of the Russian Empire from 1812.
