Rhodesian Socialist Union Foregin Acquirements

The Rhodesian Defence Ministry is attempting to constantly update its armed forces, and having recently attempted to acquire equipment from the Americans, is continuing its program of Military replacement.

As such, we also requested various pieces of equipment from the British, and their response was very much positive. The arms deal was for:

Two Nimrod MR4 ASW Aircraft
Twelve Panavia Tornado GR4 Ground Attack/Reconaissance Aircraft

We are waiting the overall official response from the United Kingdom.

The Third Empire would be happy to sell these aircraft to you for a decent price of $2 billion.

We are of the belief that this is an entirely unreasonable price.

Nimrod MRA4 aircraft come at around $120 million each, and Tornado's at around $40 million each. Plus a bit of extra, a price of nearer $800 million would be more reasonable.

Alternatively, we will pay for the Tornados ($400 million, because we're generous) and the production and modification rights for the Nimrod, bringing it to the $2 billion your after.

We feel that is far more reasonable.
