Official Communiqué
To the leader of Laquasa Isle:
Our two nations have had a rocky past. Under both the Empire and the Dictatorship, Laquasa and Eurasia were pitted against each other. Yet, this rivalry has been built on nothing. We have no reason to be hating one another, we have no reason to kill our citizens in pointless wars due to that hatred.
Therefore, I have written this communiqué in apology for what Eurasia has done to Laquasa in the past. I also write this in an attempt to forge a greater future for our two nations. I propose that we shed our rivalry. I propose that we allow for free trade between our nations, so that our people may learn about each other, and promote greater understanding. I await your response.
