Dee Harbor, Blubland

The battleship Republic had been towed back to Blubland. Weeks of exposure to the sea had rusted wherever paint was burned or blasted away. The bridge was shattered and massive holes pocked the sides of the warship. Near the stern on the port side, a large shiney armor plate had been wielded into place to keep the ship from flooding again where one torpedo wound had opened up beneath the water line.

The guns were blackened from the fires that had raged onboard, and the B battery at the front of the ship was tilted at an odd angle, testament to a magazine explosion.

Even still, the ship was brought home. Thousands upon thousands of Blubs stood on the beaches cheering, and on the docks were lined up uniformed members of the military. Captain Bungle, still suffering from his wounds in the Battle of Leyte had to sit on a chair and watch the proceedings, tears in his eyes at seeing his flagship in such a state.

The Navy had turned out to watch as the Republic was brought home. Forming two lines, bows pointed inwards to form a sort of channel.. new and old ships of the BNS Blub Naval Service heralded the battleship's homecoming.

The Republic was unsalvagable. No decision had been made yet on wether to build a new battleship to take its place or to rename one of the warships donated by friendly nations. Many lobbied that if any ship were to bear the name of the Republic it should be built in the motherland.

The fleet of transport ships involved in the failed assault on Hong Kong had been redistributed throughout various ports, leaving Dee Harbor available to show off the newest additions to the BNS.

Several of the Homeland and Super Homeland class battleships donated by Leafanistan were on display as well as Ayanami class Hatarian destroyers and one of the Shogun battleships.

$503 billion dollars had come in from foreign aid, most of which went to rebuild parts of Dee City destroyed by the Hatarian bombardment. The Blubs were left with about a third of that money, and much debate had sparked as to what exactly to do with it.

The Rosian Republic has seen the Blubian State struggle. We feel guilty that we have not done anything to help. Therefore we shall donate our entire R-7 Series ( http://img178.imageshack.us/img178/9462/iaccollectiongifof6.gif) of small arms. This includes the RAR-7 assualt rifle in SAW, kommando, carbine, and urban sniper variants. Oh and there's a machine gun included in the package too. Indeed we are sending five million of each type since, you know, we have alot of them. Not only that but the Blubian State has the right to buy from the Government direct with 75% off the original price.

We are also going to donate ten billion Roses to aid in the reconstruction of the Blub Empire. We also wish to open an Embassy and we also want to trade with your state, free trade at that. Indeed we see the Blub Empire as a friend.

Clandonia Prime: We are indebted to your nation for its kindness and support. Currently, we face a small crisis in getting Dee City rebuilt. When one of the weapon storage areas at the naval base was hit, it caused one of our EMP bombs to detonate. As such, much of the phone, cable and fiberoptics lines in Dee City were damaged.

We are struggling to replace the wires now, but are still in great need of these materials.

(Not sure how well EMP works on those... but I'll say for whatever reason, it muffed 'em up. Makes for good flavor.)


Questers: Consider the offer of advisors accepted. We are in need of experienced military officials to instruct our newest crop of sailors in the use of these new, foreign warships. As you can probably tell, your donations exceed our original number of destroyers. We've had to open two new naval academys.

The Transylvania: While we greatly appreciate the offer and intent, we are very well equipped with small arms at the moment, and are already in the process of upgrading to the R-7 series. We would like to aquire a number of the melee weapons for evaluation, however.

British Londinium: The teams would do the most help in the northern area of Dee City. The harbor district was flooded as a result of several levies being destroyed in the orbital bombardments. We could also use help in rebuilding the city's communications hardlines.

Rosanica: We will begin upgrading our military with these fine weapons immedietly. The process may take several years. We would like to make the diplomatic front a mutual embassy exchange and agree to tariff-free trade with your nation. We hope that your citizens will enjoy our fine products, such as artwork, luxury goods, electronics, sea food and our many varities of iced cream.

A fax was sent to the Foreign Relations Department of the Blub Empire, as per the Jolt Ordinances of 20XX. It was hand written in quill pen, on what appeared to be parchment paper, and signed twice for good measure. Guess who!

Salutations Brothers in Arms! There periodically comes a time in the course of every nation where it can go two ways. The first, regrettably, far too many choose. It is a path to annihilation, a path to ignorance and doubt. This is the path of the defeatists, the path that British Londinium was forced down after the invasion, the path that No Endorse has teetered on the brink of numerous times. It is towards this path that the Blub Empire has been brutally forced by the quasi-nation of Hataria.

The other path, the one quite obviously chosen by the Blub Empire regardless of Hataria's best attempts, is one of strength and honor, one of perseverance and intelligence. The conscious decision to not bow to the forces of Hataria and the choice to continue the fight despite losses is a sign of power and potential. And wherever the forces of light make a stand against such pillars of insanity and depravity as the nation of Hataria, No Endorse will be there, aiding the fight.

The recent events pertaining to the Blub-Hataria situation have certainly come to the attention of the nation of No Endorse in that the Blub Empire has recently suffered grave losses in glorious combat against the Hatarian Scourge. We regret that so many Blubs had to die for so few Hatarian casualties, but such is the way of the universe. The savages possessed sufficient technology and technical understanding to use it effectively, a very unfortunate development in the course of human and Blub development. However, No Endorse can ensure that such will never happen again.

We extend two offers. The first is an alliance against all of the forces that would attempt to corrupt the purity that is the intellect. The Human and Blub minds are sacred beyond the most treasured religious artifacts, beyond even the savior himself. The immense complexity and infinite capability of the intellect is of such a caliber that the nation of No Endorse will fight to the bitter end to protect it, and the nation of Blub has demonstrated its like desire to ensure that the forces of inferiority are eliminated. Thusly, in light of our like causes, an offer of alliance is the logical step. With open borders, open trade, and open exchange of military intelligence as it pertains to these savages, we will be capable of forever silencing them.

The second offer is one only given to those who are allies of No Endorse. We think that you will soon be proud of us. (Sorry for the tiny post.. working on the reason why the proudness will occur now.)

The Fax machine went off again in the Blub Capitol. Why did Amner always insist on Faxing? Couldn't he type?

The continuing support for the Blub Efforts to halt the Hatarian menace is inspirational. Such a vast public outpouring for the forces of light, be they human or Blub, should stand as a testament to this world.

However, it is with great concern that we watch the Blub arsenal grow. As we have watched the Blub Navy expand from a decimated force to a massive conglomeration of various ship classes, we have seen what was once a minor logistical situation become a tremendous problem. With seven distinct Destroyer families and four distinct Frigate families, the logistics of the Blub Navy's small vessels are enough to render any prolonged conflict very difficult. Incomparability of spares and the sheer number of different weapon systems that need to be manufactured will make a fight with Hataria more costly than necessary, especially considering the marginal capabilities of some of the ships. (The older and more Hatarian designs more specifically)

Therefore, I extend an interesting offer. No Endorse is willing to standardize your Frigate and Destroyer fleets. (Excluding the superb Questarian Destroyers, they should be kept of course) This means 100 Heisen class Destroyers and 50 Whirlwind class Frigates. Outside of the Questarian Destroyers and these ships, we highly recommend that all other classes of Destroyer and Frigate be scrapped or converted into floating batteries in the interest of simplifying logistics.

As for pricing, pay whatever you feel is necessary. You are fighting our enemies, and while some payment would be much appreciated, we do not expect full payment for production costs. The entire order has been dispatched from current stocks, as well as from several active duty destroyer squadrons, and should arrive shortly.
