Good Evening,

The land of Iceland lies just 300km's from the Dominion of Vetaka. It has no "real" defence unit. As a result the Dominion seeks to make Iceland a Dominion protecterate state. This would mean Iceland's total defence would be the responsibilty of the Dominion.

This would mean the deployment of Dominion Forces to Iceland. This force would include air-power, troops, C&C and Logistics. This force would number 2,000 or so Dominion Personal.

The Dominion of Vetaka is commited to International Co-operation. As a result we seek the Comments, Views and International Approval of the International Community for this proposal. We must make clear that altough defended by the Dominion. Iceland would remain a free and democratic nation and the Dominion would never seek to remove this from the Icelanders.

Dear Rt. Hon. Mr. Harper,
Although this wave of land-grabs lately does trouble us somewhat, we are not opposed to your action in principle. Your nation strikes us as a fair entity, and we would take its assertions with full faith and credit even if that were not the case. It would simply be the right thing to do unless circumstances proved it otherwise.
However, do please consider the United States' possible reaction to this move. They were the occupying power in Iceland until recently, after all. We will not stop you, but we are also becoming closer to the Americans at the moment, and cannot guess what obligations that may or may not lead them to ask of us. In all cases we shall exercise our sovereign discretion, though, which is so far inclined towards your side of this matter.
