Geography:
About 73 percent of Japan is mountainous, with a mountain range running through each of the main islands. Since so very little flat area exists, many hills and mountainsides are cultivated all the way to the top. As Japan is situated in a volcanic zone along the Pacific deeps, frequent low-intensity earth tremors and occasional volcanic activity are felt throughout the islands. Destructive earthquakes occur several times a century.
Mountains cover 70 percent of the Korean Peninsula and arable plains are generally small and far in between the successive mountain ranges. The peninsula becomes more mountainous towards the north and the east, with the highest mountains found in the north. The peninsula has 8,460 kilometres of coastline. From north Korean peninsula is bordered with Pan Asian Bloc and Russian Confederacy.
Political system:
In the administration of Japan dominated by the Army political movement, the civil central government is under the management of military men and right-wing civilian partidaires, along with members of the nobility and Imperial Family.
The Emperor is in the center of this power structure as supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Armed Forces, head of state, representative of the "Imperial Sun Lineage" for State Shinto, and chief of the Imperial Household.
