With the near collapse of the economy, Prime Minister Kato Tomosaburo declared the economy would be ging to national effort, and layed out a series of publi works projects, including dams construction and bringing electricity to more secluded areas (OOC: rural electrification). Aid to Vietnam and Siam would also be reduced until the depression was over.
