Recent History
Several decades ago the countries of Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina united to form the South American Federation. At first it was mainly a close military alliance, but over the years power became more centralized. Yet the new South American Federation made sure that the power would be balanced between all its peoples. Three capitals were established one for administrative purposes, another for legislative purposes and a judicial capital. Recently the economy of the South American Federation has been booming due to free market reforms and the elimination of past tariffs. Yet several issues still face the Federation, the most notable one being the destruction of the rain forest.
