To: United States of America President Rick Santorum
From: The Dominion of Vetaka President James Harper
Subject: Mutual Defensive Alliance
President Santorum,
Our nations have lived side by side for years. We share a common democratic system and a common border. We border each other for miles on end. I write to you today to propose a treaty. The Treaty of New York which would be signed in that city.
The treaty will comprise of 5 articles:
Article 1: The United States of America and The Dominion of Vetaka will pledge to permantly recgonise each other's current homeland borders and will not attack eachother.
Article 2: The United States of America and The Dominion of Vetaka will not become involved in either nations actions abroad.
Article 3: The United States of America and The Dominion of Vetaka will work together to defend eachother from organised crime, terrorism and anything else that treatens each nation on both sides of the border.
Article 4: A Decleration of war from any nation against The United States of America or The Dominion of Vetaka will not be a mutual decleration on both nations.
Article 5: A Decleration of war from any forigen nation against The United States of America or The Dominion of Vetaka will only become a mutual decleration on both nations if a forigen nation uses Weapons of Mass Destruction or the Homeland of The United States of America or The Dominion of Vetaka is directly attacked.
This treaty will be mutually benifical for both our nations as it guarentees us both a neighbouring ally should we face a war at home. We hope you will join us in this treaty.
