Creating a new nation: I would like some help. (OCC thread, later it becomes an RP)

there are many others but we will get around to them eventually.

OCC: The location of the nation is on the Eastern sea board of the North American continent. We own about 900 square miles and have a population of 166,000. This is all I know at the moment, there is a lot to be done. The capital is Malarnis, it is where most of the population resides, more than half in fact.

1000h, Malarnis Airport

An An-70 painted in Kazkahstania's national colours touches down on the main runway and taxies to a nearby apron. There, the lower ramp is lowered, and a convoy of two military HMMWV's painted black with the Kazkahstanian crest on the side followed by a black BMW M3 is unloaded out the back.

On board is a delegate from Kazkahstania, Igor Chetchkov. The convoy proceeds through the airports gates to the local embassy, where a large paper is handed into the main office there, outlning Kazkahstania's views.

Government Type
Communist paradise, with strict controls to control corruption. General, an equal soceity can be maintained with a strong central economy, as long as:

A) Everything the nation may need is constructed in nation to provide jobs. Raw materials can be traded for, but goods MUST be made locally to bolster the economy, otherwise everything will be outsourced.

B) Corruption will ruin the nations equality - make stringent controls on corruption with very tough punishments if caught, and make money not good for much.

Government Organization

Everything must be planned centrally, so that the economy is stabilised and that money is controlled well - if the balance tips slightly it an be very damaging, therefore Ministers for various fields such as Education and Healthcare must talk often and organise between themselves.

A leader and various advisors must be arranged - the leader must have both a Minister AND an advisor for everything. This way, he will have two opinions on the latest ideas, so that no Minister can come up with a costly idea that wont work and force its way through.

Military Organization

Same as Government Organisation - centrally controlled. Chief of Air, Navy and Air Force - a seperate Marine Corps is a bad idea for a small nation thats just starting. The Leader should get a main representitive, such as the Chief of Armed Forces, and a personal Advisor and so has dual opinions as well.

From there on it is down to personal choice. Divisons can be sub-commanded, centrally controlled by a grand Field Marshal or otherwise controlled. However, strong inter-arm links should be made, such as Air-Ground and Ground-Sea. This takes some dual trained advisors and common systems.

If you want, I can go into more advanced details, for example what consists of a Division, Battalian etc.

Ways of Attraction

Tourism is the main way, however this is temporary and brings a revenue that changes with the times. It also makes your nation more Open, which makes espionage much more likely.

Jobs are my best advised way. Advertise well paying, varied and generally fulfilling jobs, and so you get a constant flow of revenue. This links strongly with the balancing of the economy, so that there are many jobs in the nation, that can afford to be well paid, etc.
