My general lack of posting is for another reason..My left wrist is bothering me.

Is there a template I can use to help make a factbook. I forgot to mention that this is my first "Earth" RP. And I'm quite damn happy it is (pardon my french, that is unless you don't mind my french). :D

I use the CIA factbook as a template...you dont have to use everything...but it helps give a general idea of how one can be laid out.

I can also collect a set of links for budget finding and military assets if you need them...since as I understand it we are using RL tech/economy.

That makes me almost a primary purchaser and not a weapons producer...almost...though after Oil and Natural Gas the largest industry I have in almost every nation is Ship Repair and Building....doesnt make me able to build Naval vessels with the insides I would still need to purchase the tastey bits.

Since Kazkahstania and I are growing closer ICly in matters of defense (I licensed some artillery and a frigate design of his a ways back), I'm thinking of doing a quickie warship launching, sea trials and commissioning thread for the first of my own Valour class frigates. Any who want to praise, condemn, or generally opine on Wagdog's constant military-industrial balancing act (see my factbook re: why my forces aren't balanced to begin with...:headbang:) would be quite welcome to do so therein.
I'll also be formally notifying about the arrival of three Kazkahstania/RSU diesel submarines and two corvettes that were sold to me along with the Valour design, so those can factor in nations' press responses as well. Thoughts? Should this perhaps be a IC military declarations thread instead?

Oh indeed; I don't dispute that at all. Thing is though, my factbook has the licensing deal negotiations therein, and mentions RSU engineers setting up the needed shipyard in Port Moresby (which IIRC has some small shipbuilding of its own already IRL) starting on 1/29.:p I can start with the declaration of that being finished if needed, and the first frigate could be in service by the end of the month after some nations' hand-wringing over my industrial buildup. Either way there's already been a delay involved.
So what say you, just launching the ship to start, or declaring the shipyard built first?:confused: Do note that I'll also be formally acknowledging ownership of two Sa'ar IV missile boats and three Daphne diesel subs that the RSU sold me alongside the frigate license, travel time to me being noted in the negotiations as 3 TPE months/1 RL week. Hence, they've already arrived last Monday IRL, and I'll be commissioning them if nothing else more powerful at the ceremony I have planned.

Hey I just photoshopped the current map to update the area of Afghanistan I want, and I added both My nations color to iceland, with a nice little swirly effect blending the colors for vetaka's nation and mine together, and added Kazakhstan to the pan asian bloc, anyways, heres the link to the picture. If anyone needs to know, despite my war with Strator and a pending international conference stemming from that, I'm still around and eager here. Who else here did he entangle, if I may?
Anyway, here's some OOC fun. How does your TPE nation regard the existence of its NS nation? Mine is perhaps special because their the exact same country in all except the details.
For silliness' sake, both incarnations of my country see the other as an entertaining TV show; TPE-Wagog's part on the NS World's broadcast drama The People's Earth being just ahead of South Park in primetime ratings. Since NS-Wagdog's military equipment is either deployed against Strator or pending replacement, the directorial team just has the props guys give us American stuff to start with so filming money could be saved. Once the props budget allows, that'll be replaced like in-character with South African/Rhodesian and Spanish stuff to make the show seem more 'sophisticated.'
NS-Wagdog is similarly loved by those TPE-Wagdoggies that sit down for it every weekend, except that it adds in "Villain of the Week" countries (like the current Strator arc) and puts in stock Soviet/Pact/Chicom equipment to match the country's politics. And that show instead politely glosses over just how NS-Wagdog became many times larger and more prosperous than the USSR ever did on what at least looks like the same small islands as TPE-Wagdog occupies. Wagdog's few conservatives naturally suspect State propaganda in each show's (NS or TPE) case; and they're not totally wrong either...:D

May I recomend that you claim India, nepal, bangladesh, burma, and Bhutan? India has an excellent economy, and a high population. And we could be allies.

I have decided to withdraw from this RP(sry for not saying it earlier), if anyone wants to take Empire of Japan(territories:Japan and both Koreas) from where I left it(I didn't do anything very importnant except invading Philipines) and countinue from there, they are free to do so, that is up to you.

Well guys, DP; this was fun. So fun, in fact, that I feel I have to ask: DP, might I set up a "The People's Earth 2" or so? You'd certainly get credit for the idea, and I'd be especially grateful if you'd co-mod with me if I could. This had so much promise and I really don't know what killed this off, when we had such great players involved (aside from perhaps one too many non-TPE n00bs trying to start general wars in the open world lately...:rolleyes:).
I know, I know; I'm hardly one to talk if my postcount is any indication, but I think I understand the general concept of how a mod should act to keep an RP interesting. I'm active a bit each day anyway, and I can say for sure that I'd keep up with a new TPE; whatever SYAE or the open world had going on. So how does a TPE2 sound, everyone? IMO this idea deserves to thrive rather than die without even its first threads resolved...
