The Kingdom of Hungary is a large nation, spread throughout central and eastern europe as the result of the split of the Eastern European Empire despite it's position at the forefront of technology the Kingdom of Hungary is socially quite backwards.

The Habsburgs who infact are the Hungarian kingly line have been forever barred from becoming monarchs of Hungary by the National Assembly, who also instilled former Imperium Admiral Miklós Horthy de Nagybánya as permanent Regent of the kingdom, exercising all the power and authority of the king without any royal blood in his veins.

A major part of the Hungarian social order are it's landed magnates who own swathes of land, it's cowed peasantry as well as it's history with the Magyar's or ethnic Hungarians sweeping in from Central Asia in the 9th century. All this adds up to Hungary being seen as "uneuropean" and regarded by many as a place of Darkness. Perhaps that's why stories such as that of Dracula have been based in Hungary... Transylvania in particular

In addition language and Franchise requirements for holding offices in the National Assembly only allow 5.8% of men to hold political office, females are forbidden from voting and holding political office.

Bupapest is an elegant and modern city however the countryside is like a different world, Serfdom which was formally abolished in 1848 still practically lives on as much of the land is still held in large estates, by aristocrats, the gentry, or the Church.

The grand families of Hungary and worldy and are more at home in speaking French or Latin than Hungarian,

The Kingdom of Bulgaria sends it's warmest regards to the Kingdom of Hungary and its Distinguished Regent and skilled Admiral, Miklós Horthy de Nagybánya. We wish to establish firm relations with Hungary and hope that a mutually beneficial relationship can be worked out.

As announced earlier, we have decided to moderate our relationships with our long-time ally, Germany, as well as our neighbor Romania. These measures have been in the interests of focusing foreign policy closer to the Balkans. Perhaps a discussion can be initiated within this context?

The following French telegram is sent to the Hungarian government:

France warns Poland that if required Russia will invade Germany by Hungary in order to honor its Alliance with France and Poland would be wise not to have a mutual defense treaty with Hungary for that reason.

The Hungarian Government publicly denounces the French threat of Russian violence, whether or not intended by the Russians, as nothing more than blackmail in attempt to manipulate the Hungarian government into signing a secret treaty that would allow Russian unhindered access through Hungarian soil.

Copies of the telegrams from the French and Russians are distributed to various national and international media agencies including ones in France and Russia.

Secret IC:

Horthy Straight forwardly replied "Where as attempting to blackmail a soveign nation into your bidding isn't? And even if your government where to propose something it would have as much chance as going ahead as you getting your hands on the Serbian Royal family. Good day."

And with that the meeting was abruptly ended.
