KLM government was looking forward to opening relations with Samtonian Republic; the Istanbul Honor Guard Regiment was standing attention as the Samtonian Plane came to a rolling stop. Welcoming the envoys from Samtonia, was Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasa Sokollu (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/7bcc8e31.jpg) and Foreign Minister Farhri Koruturk (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/8b4e95d0.jpg), both were ready to handle the coming meeting with Samtonian envoys.

Dr. Heinrich Mountbaden, Minister of Economics,
prepares for impending visit to the Khailfah al Muslimeen.
Mountbaden is to be joined by Minister of Foreign Affairs Vanderhoven
on this introductory visit to the KLM

With major political changes sweeping the globe, you'd assume that the first place that Minister of Foreign Affairs Vanderhoven is planning on travelling to this year will be such major nations as Oceania or Hamptonshire. The last place you'd expect would be a nation with whom Samtonia hasn't even had diplomatic contact, right?

"My upcoming visit to the KLM is certain to bring about major policy changes for the current government, in relation to our Islamic neighbors in the world," Vanderhoven said today. "I'd like to think of this not just as reaching out to al Muslimeen, but to all Islamic governments across the world." His office had no comment on any expected policy shifts, but analyists expect an increased interest in Islamic nations and businesses abroad.

"With what's going on in the world, it makes perfect sense for the current government to attempt to open up a new avenue of diplomacy and economics," Max Keiting, a senior fellow at the Jahrmann Institute for Political and Economic Theory said. "Islamic nations represent a broad crosssection of the world today, one which our government has not attempted to reach out to. Really, even with recent elections in major traditional nations of Samtonian interest, I'd venture to say this will produce more of an effect on government policy than any election result I could think of."

Both Minister Vanderhoven and Minister of Economics Mountbaden are "excited and eager for this opportunity to broaden Samtonian horizons," a representative for Dr. Mountbaden's office said yesterday. He himself, in a press release distributed today, called the trip "an important step in the path towards greater economic opportunity in both Samtonia and the world."

Minister of Foreign Affairs Vanderhoven waved to the already-waiting press pool as he stepped off the plane, Minister Mountbaden directly behind him on the departure ramp. The two Samtonians, surrounded by their security detail and followed by the employees who had accompanied them on this trip, gave the press corps ample opportunities for front-page spreads for the next-day's newspaper as they stopped and shook hands with their Al Muslimeen counterparts.

"It's a great day here," remarked Mountbaden to Sokollu, as the group walked towards the waiting vehicles. "We left Bronshaven and it was 15 and rainy. A sunny day is just what was called for." Vanderhoven was also chatting amicably with Minister Koruturk, as the assemblage stepped into the vehicles that would take them where the day's real work would take place.

The Samtonian Envoys were taken to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building, where the two sides could privately conduct business without the media watching over them. They were lead thought the marble halls of the building, in till they reach the main conference room, where the meeting itself will be conducted.

“Gentlemen, today marks a momentous for our two peoples, the start of good relationship for our nations. The first matter I would like to discuss first is the starting up a free trade agreement between our nations.” Said the Grand Vizier

Minister Mountbaden looked across the table at the delegation from the KLM, gauging the measure of the men sitting across from him and his confederation of economists, foreign policy wonks, and government emissaries. They looked impeccably dressed, though the cut of their suit was different from the Samtonian style of the day. But that look they had about them- such men always had a look. Mountbaden himself knew he did.

It was the look of men trained and ready to drive a hard bargain. "Grand Vizier, I think that we are all in basic agreement with what you propose. Open up the market to trade between our nations and you open up the ability to commit to a course of action involving increased dialogue and further possibilities for political and economic connections. And I know not a person in this room opposes that. What I'm then forced to look to, because there's nothing to discuss on the theory, is the implementation.

"Dual lowering of protective tariffs, down to 3% within the first year of agreeement to an economic pact, barring the mandated fixed-rate tariffs in certain areas of my country such as defense contracting. The same would apply to your nation, of course. Decrease to 1% within three years, tariff barriers to be removed entirely five years from enactment. And a safety valve, so neither one of us gets burned by change in the economic waters. A two-year close-out period for the re-raising of tariffs upon the ceasation of this pact, increasing to 2.5% the first year and pre-agreement levels in the second. I think that about does it for what my government would like to see out of this agreement."

The Grand Vizier nodded in agreement “ Yes, we find this most acceptable. Trade is one of the first steps of establishing closer relations between our two nations; hopefully this is the sign of stronger relations to common. The KLM has a lot to offer to your respected state, such we are aware of the your nation needs in terms of imports and we have a keen interest in supplying your nation in such areas as foodstuffs and etc, also you nation has a items that our people are greatly interest in buying like…Consumer goods and etc. Lastly, my nation business interest are greatly interest in investing in your respect nation and hopefully visa versa..”

"Grand Vizier, that sounds excellent. I will make sure that various companies are made aware of the investment opportunities in your nation, as well as notifying the proper bureaus in my Ministry to begin setting up those economic deals that you mentioned. I'm certain that some type of reciprocal trading agreement can be worked out."

“Excellent, I am glad to see that we can come to a agreement so far, would your nation be interest in signing a treaty of friendship as a sigh of showing the progressing improvement of relations between our nations?” asked the Grand Vizier

Minister Vanderhoven nodded his agreement. "I think iti s safe to say that signing an official treaty of friendship merely cements the already-growing bonds of trade and diplomacy between our two nations. We accept that treaty."

With the important business of the conference slipping away, the delegates engaged in the business that remained to be dealt with (though it was generally of a dull and unimportant nature) and the conference was soon adjourned, the Samtonians walking out while shaking hands profusely with their KLM counterparts.

With the meeting going successful, the KLM officers took their counterparts form Samtonians back to Istanbul International Airport. They quickly drove them right to their plane with no problem. The KLM honor guard stood attention, as the Samtonians walked up the stairways and enter their plane, which was going to take them home.

It was at that point that things went wrong. Very wrong. As the security forces began their hastily improvised dance of handing off security from one to the other, two of the Samtonian guards suddenly drew their semi-automatic weapons and opened fire on the men standing beside them. Their unexpected attack took down the other three Samtonians who were on the security detail, the surprised DSS agents crumpling to the ground. Almost as quickly, both Minister Mountbaden and Minister Vanderhoven found themselves with weapons jammed into their sides.

"Let's not be fucking heroes, all right?" growled one of the assailants as he pulled Mountbaden into the airplane. By now, the KLM security had been able to verify where the gunshots had come from- but their attention drawn to the entryway to the airplane, they were fatally distracted. Two baggage handlers slid around the side of the plane, automatic rifles drawn. Before anyone could get out a word of warning, they opened fire on the hapless security forces, who were decimated as they were subjected to surprise enfilading fire.

Screams and gunshots rent the air on the tarmac, the roar of planes taking off not quite loud enough to obscure it. As the two shooters began to run their way into the plane, surviving KLM security forces began to open fire. One of the men went down, his scream cut short as his throat collapsed in a gurgling spray of blood. The other managed to get inside the plane before the fire could also bracket him, gun firing the entire way up the stairs inside.

Mountbaden was already being tied up, a gun at his head, while Vanderhoven knelt with his hands above his head, eyes facing a wall. The corpses of two of the military stewards who had been on the plane lay in the aisle- the assailants had either left them there as an object lesson or merely hadn't had time to clean up their mess. "Rudy! They fucking nailed Dirk! We took out some of those terrorist pigs, but they fucking blew his throat off!"

The man with his gun to Vanderhoven’s head looked crossly at the blood-stained and shaken fighter who stood at the front of the passenger section of the plane. “Then he should have fucking ran faster! Did you think we wouldn’t get out of this without casualties? Now get back to your fucking post!” A cursory glance at the Minister of Foreign Affairs saw him beginning to turn his head. He got a pistol whip to the side of his head for that effort. “Keep looking at the damn wall until I fucking tell you not to, Uncle Tom!”

What was once a sumptuous jet plane was now a scene out of an action movie- heavily armed radicals at key positions, spent ammunition littering the floor, a frightened old man tied up in a corner, and another prisoner slumped against a wall, blood flowing from his head. But this scene was all too real- and the people in the scene were some of the most important officials in the Almighty People’s Republic.

As soon word hit about the hostage situation and the shooting, the Istanbul Police Department, quickly deport as many units as possible could in that short period of time. They quickly set up a perimeter around the plane, in order to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the plane.

Istanbul Police Department SWAT vans quickly pull into the scene with heavily armed teams of SWAT officers ready to take on the terrorist within a moment notice. Then a black van came to the scene, it was unlike the other units already deployed. These men who came out of the black van, were members of the AMI elite Black Hawks special units, this company of Black Hawks were members of AMI counter terrorism unit or Company 15 “Red Dawn”.

All the units were in place to storm the plane and rescue the hostages, the AMI Black Hawks and the SWATs decide to storm the plane and hit the Terrorist hard. They decided to stormed the main door …just they stealthy walk up the stairs and put C-4 on the door in order to break it down and they quickly set it off and storm the plane, they threw stun grenades to disable the terrorist, then with assault rifles blazing. They manger to take out most of the terrorist in the plane, all but two were still holding the two ministers hostage. The AMI Black Hawks stood ready to take these terrorists out, if they didn’t release the hostage one way or another.
