On this day, 489 CT, The Tower of Dawn and the Academe d'Ars is pleased to announce the opening of the Kesshite Organic Technology (KOT) program. This program is a joint creation of our schools funded with the aid of the Kesshii government, in which Acolytes and Masters from both of our fine institutions will be able to study and research organic technologies.
The KOT program, the first of its kind, hopes to promote learning, ease environmental stresses, and benefit all sapient kind through the study and development of organic technology.
Currently selling:
Treehouse design and construction plans @ 350 silver bullion bars (350,000 oz)
Currently researching:
Polysaccharide materials.
Breeding programs
((OOC: This is where I'll post my nation's on-going research as well as any items/technologies made available for sale. ))
((Also, my nation does not have e-mail and you cannot wire transfer money. Silver bullion is the prefered payment method. Gold, platnum, and palladium also accepted.))

Master Khaila, formerly of the Dawn Tower, is one of the founders of KOT and is a leader in organic technology.
"When Kesshite originally ended its period of isolation, I was one of the many scholars excited about the chance to interact with foreign intellectuals. However, my discourses with scientists, construction companies, and social and civic engineers, soon began to disappoint me. Large populations of people always had a disastrous effect on the environment, and no solution had been found."
"At the same time, I found that the citizenry of the modern world enjoyed a much higher standard of living than many in my native Kesshite. I despaired, for the idea that one must sacrifice the environment or the quality of people's lives seemed an unavoidable one. That is why I began the study of what we now call 'organic technology.'"
"That is also why I have designed and implemented a method to grow houses. Yes, a literal 'treehouse' that warm, safe, secure but has far less of a negative impact on the environment."

Section revealing nutrient flows:
1. Circulation + Entry, 2. Gravity Plumbing, 3. Composting, 4. Aqueous Garden.
Master Khaila is selling the design of the 'treehouse' as well as the process for growing it for 350 silver per nation.
"A number of people are asking me why I'm selling this technology. Firstly, because this was meant to help all peoples, not just those of Kesshite or a single corporation. If a government is interested in this technology, I want them to have it. In addition, while KOT is funded in part by the Kesshite government, the study and experimentation we hope to do would cost more than we're currently receiving in funding. This money isn't going in my pocket, it's going toward this great institution."
Those interested should contact Minister Nexas of Kesshite.

To Minister Jayla,
I wanted to thank you personally for your donation of specimens to KOT. I believe they will help marvelously with the research we are currently doing.
The letter you sent along with the specimens contained a number of questions and I will try to answer them as best I am able. First, we hope to breed your beetles with another group I found my in recent explorations of the rainforests in northern Kayyat province. I was reading about the infestation of your peach trees, as well as hive like structures you found in the soil at the end of the pond, and I wondered if these two beetles might be the same species. Although the markings on yours are a dull brown, while those I have are colored a vivid green, their anatomy is the same.
I hope to interbreed them, as the green beetles appear to have a very delicate reproductive cycle. Of course, if they don't interbreed, I can use your brown beetles, though the substance they produce seems different.
This brings me to the 'why' of your letter. I am currently studying polysaccharide materials. Both of these beetles seem to excrete the substance through their glands and fashion it the aforementioned hive like structures. Polysaccharide is cellulose with one hydroxyl group on each monomer replaced by an acetylamine group. This allows for increased hydrogen bonding between adjacent polymers, giving the polymer increased strength. It forms the exoskeleton of many creatures: lobsters, mantises, and these beetles.
The beetles excrete the polysaccharide as a liquid, however an enzyme is mixed in with it that causes it to harden when exposed to air. We're currently trying to extend the amount of time it takes before the substance hardens by altering the beetle's diet and adding oil of vitriol. Unfortunately, our only successes have also resulted in the chitin not solidifying completely.
Thank you once more,
Minister Humeru of KOT

D1: What's in your left hand?
AG: I don't know…
D1: Look down at it.
AG: I don't…my head hurts
D1: I just want you to move the fingers of your left hand.
AG: I can't feel it. After my shoulder, everything b-b-becomes numb.
D1: You don't feel this?
AG: N-no.
D1: What about this?
AG: Please... please stop it.
D1: I want you to wiggle the fingers on your left hand.
AG: My head hurts. I j-just want to sleep.
D1: You were able to do this earlier. You can sleep when you do it again.
AG: I... can't... I just need to s-sle…

D2: He's passed out.
D1: Has he?... I think...
D2: Check his!..
D1: No, he's stopped breathing. [obscenity] gone.
D2: I need you to help move him, stop writing.

[Letter from Fort Jade-Tiger]
We found this poor bastard wandering around the village of Yaaryo. I don't know what the [obscenity] happened to him. The villagers are full of the usual 'monsters in the woods' [obscenity] but this time their [obscenity] is true. They say villagers have done missing.
This poor [obscenity] can't talk. I don't think he understands us. He just moans, can't hold down food, [obscenity] water. Raoul says we should put the [obscenity] down and burn the body. I agree. What if he's sick? Slit my [obscenity] throat if I catch that.
Send orders.

Tagvaar,
The right combination of beetle chitin and organic resins was difficult to find but I think we have it. I suggest soft leather for the backing. Yes, it's not as strong as metal but it's much lighter. I think your scouts will love it.
Tell me how it performs in field tests.
