Elizabeth was in the church perparing for her wedding. she wondered where Quinn was, he hoped he would reach the church before there wedding."minister can you wait for quinn he will arrive soon.' the royal family would be coming to the church in a few hours, elizabeth prayed quinn would hurry.

Quinn ran through the airport, swearing to himself why trying to tie his tie.

Last job went bad. He was fortunate to have left when he did, however.

He managed to arrange to have one of the mini-coopers delivered ot the airport, which he drove at a speed that most would consider to be a violation of the Geneva conventions. She should have called me to tell me when it was. His mind was racing. He executed a handbrake turn and floored the car into the service entrance for the cathedral. He didn't pay particular attention to where he ditched his car, as he was quickly trying to get in unnoticed. Looking in the mirror, it was obvious he hadn't slept in a few days. He washed his face in cold water many times and emptied a small white powder onto a piece of rolling paper, which he snorted using a small metal pipe. He then put some eye drops in his eyes, dropped the pipe into the toilet tank, and he then used the paper and his favorite blend of tobacco to roll a cigarette. Lighting it, he coolly exited the bathroom. To anyone who saw him, he looked happy and a little anxious, instead of wired and insanely paranoid. He walked into the knave of the Cathedral and saw Elizabeth talking with the minister...

The package lay with all the many other wedding gifts laid out for the royal couple. Seemingly smaller than most it was a simple gilded envelope embossed with the seal of the Republic of Ironwell. Inside was a handwritten letter on presidentail stationery and a dried handful of birch leaves. The letter read as follows.

To the Princess Elizabeth,

On behalf of myself, and the people of Ironwell I wish you nothing but happiness on the day of your wedding. Seeing as you probably have more than your fair share of shiny baubles, fine wines and priceless artifacts. A collection which will no doubut mushroom after your nuptuals have concluded, I offer these leaves as a gift. The leaves in the envelope are from the Phoenix Tree, an important landmark in my nation. Once, my land was covered in lush, awe inspiring forests. We burnt them all to the ground to keep out the Nazis, nothing remains and the land has never quite recovered. But out of all the desolation and misery that the war inflicted, out of all that sadness, one tree rose from the ash. The Phoenix Tree is a symbol of renewal, perserverance, and hope for the future to all the citizens of the Republic. And that hope, as well as everything else that tree symbolizes is my gift to you.

It was made of 24 carat Siapian Platinum, with a flawless five carat Siapian 'Angel Tear'. These diamonds were one of the rarest on the planet, as the diamond mine was near a crater from a meteorite impact several hundred years ago. The impact of the meteor caused fullerene molecules to form within the diamond, permanantly sealing several larger noble gases in single molecular form. When the diamond was treated under a carefully guarded process and doped with certain metals (This procedure is unique to Siap and a carefully guarded trade secret), it would bear an unearthy brilliance, and in normal indoor lighting conditions, it appeared to emit a faint white light.

elizabeth came out of the room and cheeked in the mirror,her wedding dress fit on her well. elizabeth checked the clock her family was arriving in a few minutes."quinn do you have any family coming to the wedding.

"No." He answered the question curtly. Now, he felt, was not the time to explain the fallout he had with his family. His family was wealthy, and with their influence they would have known he was getting married, but both Quinn's and his familiy's mutual stubbornness would not be broken. Quinn considered the day he decided to succeed in the world to be the day he had no family. For some reason, most people he met in intelligence had no family, one way or the other.

Changing the subject, he said, "My, you look lovely."

"I'm ready as I will ever be." He held out the small box containing the ring. "You might want this."

elizabeth looked at the ring it was so beauiful,"thank you quinn it's beauiful". elizabeth walked to the doors to enter cathedral, "quinn get ready as soon as i open these doors and walk up to the minister you have to come." the royal guards opened the door,elizabeth started walking up to the minister, she saw half of the nobles of UK2 here.elizabeth reached the minister and waited for quinn to come.
