The Empire of Zjiugias
Population
viath (described later): 3,000,000
dragonkin (described later): 1,500,000
Other races: 10,000
Government
Zjiugias's government is a unique one. Four families reside in four seperate cities: Garadihar, Viaguari, Analiae, and Mehelzia. The patriarchs or matriarchs of these familes govern their sector of the Empire, and meet twice every year to determine common laws. Each family, or House, maintains is own army for rapid mobilization. In times of need, all four armies band together to fight Zjiugias's foe.
A feudal system also exists in Zjiugias. The four Houses are at the top, followed by the lesser nobles. Diplomats and military leaders come next, followed by warriors, professionals, and finally peasants. Slavery is illegal in Zjiugias.
Major cities
Garadihar: The capitol of the Empire, this is where the four leaders meet twice a year. It is also the largest city in Zjiugias. Ruled by House Iltierne.
Viaguari: The second-largest city, ruled by House Zerakea. Viaguari is considered to have the best army in the Empire.
Analiae: Zjiugias's port city, ruled by House Dientari. Most sea trade comes through here, and this is also where the Zjiugiasi navy is based.
Mehelzia: The smallest of the four Great Cities, ruled by House Kadamanx. This is where the fabled dragonkin aerial corps is trained.
Technology and Magic:
Zjiugias uses mostly Asian equipment, such as katanas and naginatas, in their military. All weapons are crafted out of adamantine, the strongest known materiel in the world. Machines are rare in Zjiugias.
Viath have no skill in magic whatsoever, but have an inborn ablility for psionics. Every platoon in the Zjiugiasi army has at least one psion attacked to it, mainly for healing purposes. The common tactic is to draw life essence from the enemy and use it to heal soldiers.

A species rarely seen outside Zjiugias, viath are legendary worldwide for their dexterity and intelligence. Resembling large weasels (but don't tell a viath that), males stand at an average seven feet tall, and weigh about 180 pounds. Females are much smaller, at only six feet and 120 pounds. They are a tiny bit stronger than humans, but not by much. A good deal of their bone structure is hollow, allowing their muscles to move their body much faster than humans. Their fur is usually a dark brown or gray, but lighter colors are common as well. Their eyes cover the spectrum from yellow to purple, and most have gold flecks in the irises.
Dragonkin

Another species rarely seen outside of the Empire. Dragonkin resemble humanoid dragons, rippling with muscles. The average height is around six and a half feet, not including wings, and the average weight is three hundred pounds. There is not a ounce of fat on the body; it is entirely honed, dense muscle. Dragonkin are one of the strongest species in the world, the average specimen able to bench-press over one thousand pounds without trouble. Dragonkin possess no skill in either magic or psionics, relying on their brute strength and flying ability to get the job done.
Zjiugiasi warhorse
The largest horses in the world are bred in Zjiugias. These horses are renowned for their size (standing at 7 feet tall, 3,000 pounds), intelligence, and speed. They are normally grey or black in color.
