Al Ramir
19-01-2007, 08:13
Local businesses and people across the nation of Al Ramir have begun to voice their disapproval over the current course of big business in Al Ramir. Protesters in the city of Tubruq went so far as to attack the police task force sent to keep the protesters in check. Upon the protesters attack upon the police, 16 were killed and the majority of the 250 or so protesters has been rounded up and are being detained with the possibility of exile or jailtime for their actions which killed three police and injured an additional 21.

In the capital city its self, Al Ramir, there were two seperate protests, however neither managed any threatening size.

In Al Ramir's second largest city, Tarābulus, the city was locked down after over 14,000 of the 1.3 million citizens protested, walking through the streets and shouting chants against the current direction of this country. One police station was overrun after the police attempted to stop a group of 400 from continuing their march. Eight citizens and two police officers were killed.

Husaam Udeen has ordered all protests to cease, and whomever does not comply will have to face the consequences. The police have been authorized to use any force necessary to break up the protests.

In the mean time, thousands across Al Ramir are offering support to the government, the police, and Husaam Udeen Agha himself, having the uttermost loyalty to the country, the government, and their ruler.
