For the First time the Kuronan Government has released a Government studie of a strange UFO case that happend in the country side. At the conclusion of the investigation in 1922 it was deemed unexplainable. As of today the Government can take no position on the validity of the claims by the subject KYOKO TAISEN. The Government annecdotes are a result of the investigation, that includes the diary entries and testimoney of Ms. Taisen.

APPENDIX: On the night of June 5, 1918 a young singel woman by the name of Kyoko Taisen reported a series of strange events near her country home. This would lead to a series of unusual claims of other encounters. This was deemed a CLOSE ENCOUNTER OF THE 1ST KIND

1918, 06, 05
It seemed like an ordinary night to me. The air was warm and still, and the crickets were chirping brightly. And the stars were shining brightly. Unable to sleep I got out of bed and put on my Kimono, and grabed a lantern. I went outside to look at the stars and just looked. I noticed one star was very bright, far to bright. A thought for a moment a planet? No it was moving, a shooting star it must have been. But I realized soon it was moving in a pattern. Zigzags, u's, o's and many others. And it began flashing many colors. Whenever I held my lamp up to it, it flashed at me. If I dimed my lamp out, it brightend up. Then it stopped moving over the tree line of the forest. It began to slowly decent and I saw it in full shape. It was massive, and bright. Strange beams of light were shooting down from it, and then it suddenly took off. Straight up into the air.

1918, 06, 07

What I saw last night, I still can't get out of my head. I keep reseeing it over and over again. What was this? I sign from Kami? It was drizziling this morning but I went to the forest to see what the strange airship had left. I found nothing, but why? Later this afternoon I went and visited my neighbor Ms.Ryoko. I asked her if she saw what I saw. She told me she saw strange lights but that was all. There is no one else around me, so why am I the one to see it?

It was at this point Ms. Taisen felt uneasy about her encounter. Our inital theory this could have been an Airplane that wondered into Kuronan territory. We knew so little of these new machines, so it was very likely Ms. Taisen wouldn't know anything either. We wrote a letter of inquiry to the Air Technology Corps of our Neighboring Region, and this was their response

Dear Sirs,

We are responding to your letter dated the 14th of October, 1922. Thank you for your intresting questions but there is no known aircraft that can perform the potental manuvers you have described. We would conclude it is some sort of natural phenominon.

At this time we have not been abel to conclude this was some weather occurance beyond our knowledge. Nearly a week later Ms. Taisen saw another sighting.

1918, 06, 15

It was night again. This time I was sitting out, as I had been for the week. And I saw, not one, but many objects. Non as close as the first time, but it was a literal light show in the sky and all were doing amazing moves. Some even came to a stop and darted off into the horizon. Then as soon as they began, they stopped. Although far they were close enough that I could see they were solid objects, and not fireflies or cicadas in the moonlight. Could these be visitors from beyond? From the moon? These can't be things of this world, they simply can not be.

From June through July Ms. Taisen had contiuned seeing strange lights and objects in the sky near her country home. It wasn't untill August of that year did her encounters intesify. Thus deemed a Close Encounter of the Second Kind.


1918, 08, 14

The summer heat of August was intesifying as well as the summer storms. It was paticularly stormy last night, a lot of lighting and heavy winds, and rain galore. The house was shuttering often so I payed no mind. But then as I settled into the bath, the whole house began to shake. My first impression was a tornado was comming, and I had to get to shelter. I threw on my bath robe and ran outside to get into the shelter, then I saw it, another large saucer object flying slowly, making a deep rumbling sound. It looked like it was on fire almost, and then it went into the trees, paused and decended to land! The rumbling had stopped but my curiosity got the best of me and I went into the forest. There it was sitting on the ground, lit up like a Christmas tree, with a flashing strobe at the top. I dared not to approach it further, and I waited. Nothing was comming in or out it simply sat there. The rain began to clear up, and once the clouds parted the object vertically took off. I went back this morning and I found the entire ground was scorched. The bark was falling off the surounding trees. But how was this possible? The rain should have put the fires out, if there were fire.

Again our reseach has yeiled no explanation for these strange burns.

1918, 08, 24

It was a quite night, I tried sleeping but was having trouble again. I felt the house begin to shake again. I ran outside to see, and this time it wasn't a disc, it looked like a diamond. It had a bright light comming down from the bottom. I saw lights flashing, untill the bright light came down on me, and then passed over me. Now this morning I have burns all over my body. It hurts to put clothes on and soak in cold water, so I am now sitting inside all day naked waiting for these strange burns to clear. Why does this keep happening to me, why is it I am the one encountering all this?

Ms. Thalia wasn't the only one to contract strange burns that night. People over a tri-county area all went to the hosiptal for minor-sever burns, and some even were found to be poisend by radiation. The encounters once again died out until the end of December.

The encounters contiuned for well over the next months but then there was the Christmas Encounter, a close encounter of the third kind. These encounters began to become more and more frequant.

1918, 24, 12

It's Christmas Eve, and I just had the most strange experience. I have seen some pretty strange stuff over the last year but now this is I can't explain in. The snow storm was keeping my relatives away, so that of course meant another Christmas to my self. I decided to take a long hot bath and as I settled the house began to shake once again. Just like during the Agust storm. I was frightend. I didn't want any more to do with this stuff. The doors blew up, just like during a bad storm and the windows shatterd. Their was a loud shrill sound, that I can not explain. The light flooded on me and I closed my eyes. I opend and I was in a large white room and surounded by strange creatures. They looked human, but there was something wrong about them. One of them spoke to me and said "Do not be afraid. My name is Coldan. I am not from your world, nor your solar system. I come from the System Crhonus Systamus." And he told me to lie down. More of them came and they examined me. They told me they were curious about the human structure. But that was it. I was returned I was lying on my bed, everything was back to normal. I found the tub over flowing.

I'm still unsure of what happend. I looked to the sky, I saw lighting. Lighting? In a snow storm? It was baffeling to me. I went to bed and I dreamed of it constantly. It was on my mind all through the next day, I just stared into the fire, constantly thinking of it.

1919, 01, 01
Oh god it's them not again~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I have just returned from my second encounter. This one was more frightning than the last. This wasn't the same creatures I had encounterd before. These people poked and prodded around me more. I've never felt so violated before.



1919, 01, 12
I can't belive this is happening to me. Once again I've been snatched away this time by yet another group from a place I have never heard of. They said they were the Nodetors from Polaris. They sat me down and showed visions of the future. First there would be a great war, where thousands of innocent Jews, Gays, Gypsis, the retarted and crippled would perish by the orders of one man. Then they began to show me ultra disasters, including but no limited to Kurona. Tornados, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis. They showed me the End of Time. Human in their constant thirst for more power and bigger and better machines will drain the planet of all it's natural resources. We will all starve our selves into submission, and their race is combating with others for controll of the Earth. We are all doomed it seems. But I had to ask why are they showing this to me? They gave no answer and sent me back.

Ms. Taisen began recounting all her stories to her neighbors. The encounters had stopped after the last one, but the wave of sightings continued in Kurona. People all over the nation from Sonomi, to Port Townsend, were seeing UFO's. Again our investigations could yeild nothing more. Soon hysteria was breaking out. It was clear something needed to be done. At His Majesties Orders we began our investigation. We were told of Ms. Taisen by several. And her outlandish claims of contact with Extra Terestiral Forces. We began to investigate and build our case to stop her from spreading more hysteria. Her prophecies of doom and distruction had set off many churches into a mass panic. Things could have deteriated quickly into chaos. We decided to arrest Ms. Taisen, seize her properties. We began our offical investigation into her claims, seeking some reasonable explanation. When we could find none, we were convinced she was lying. These are the tests we perfromed

Psychology Analysis


We tested and tested. Using inkblots, psychoanalysis, therapy with some of the best pyschologists in the country. While most were convinced it was all a fabrication neither could agree upon what kind. Two thought she was mentally insane, two others thought she was having vidid nightmares, one thought she was asking for attention and nothing more.


Physical Analysis


We examined Ms. Taisen, and found some strange results. She had a signifcant dose of radiation exposer. Enough to cause Cancer. However no cancer was shown to have developed. We examined scars of her burns and they were very strange. Clearly not sunburns, but they couldn't have been burns from scalding water. According to her Family, Ms. Taisen did like to take unusually hot baths for long periods, thus our inital theory. But the burns were very pattern like.


Attempted Confession


Convinced she was lying, and fearing of the more hysteria that could break out, we decided to force her to confess. Subjecting her to all sorts of methods used during interrogation. However she never cracked. Not once, and we were told by our commading cheifs to cease operations. We branded Ms. Taisen and schedualed her for Criminal Exile. She has been stripped of all posessions and sent to the Prision Ship Aquarian where she will be sent to the Penal Island colony.

After months of research, and pouring over documents. We can find no plausable explanation for the strange occurances over Kurona.
