I'd just like to point out that you have described in bold and underline respectively, a Corps, and a smallish Brigade, or maybe 2 and change Regiments. The average division runs between 10 and 20,000 soldiers and support.

--------------------------------------------------

Kirov Telsky had been the Emperor of the Verian Empire for the better part of 30 years. The last war the Verian had had was with their closest neighbor, Durak. Although the war ended in a Verian Victory, both sides were crippled, the Verians having lost most of their fleets and armies, even both of their Armageddon Super Dreadnoughts, which at present could not be replaced.

Kirov mused over the latest stack of paper's that had arrived at his office. It should be noted that Verian Emperors "ruled" much more like republican presidents, more handling paperwork and the more mundane parts of government, and letting a council do the smaller tasks, the only real difference in their terms being that they can rule a lifetime, other than a set number of years (of course they could still be removed from their position...)

Kirov had been up most of the night, slaving over complaints, requests, the latest Senate filibuster... Although this was far better than the things he had to do during the war, it was still incredibly stale work, stamping the Imperial seal of approval or else vetoing it, only to have it sent right back to him the next week. Getting up from his now flat leather armchair, he walked to the window and looked at the orange streaked sky, signaling in the new day, little did he know that Kirov would soon be facing a great peril, a peril which the crippled military of the empire could not possibly handle...

(There, now dammit someone else go :P)

Hovering at around half a mile from the planet's surface, the landing frigate Borstal Despatched a small fleet of dropships. They carried men, around 350 in number, supported by 150 stormtroopers. 5 APC's, 5 alligator tanks, and 3 cobra AA trucks. On the frigate, a small wing of dragonflies prepared to engage enemy threat.

Kommander Drebt led a squad of his elite stormtroopers. Him and the other foot troops took cover in the city skyscrapers, and the vehicles concealed themselves in garages and parking lots.

The rest of the fleet moved on, leaving 2 atlantis cruisers to support the Borstal.

In the gloom, the gathering storm abate, in the ships, gimlets eyes awake, a call to arms, to hammer at the gates, to throw them wide, blow evil to its fate! All summers long, the drills to build a machine, to turn men, from flesh and blood to steel, from paper soldiers, to bodies on the beach, from summer sands, to Armageddons Reach!

In the depths of the void, the appearance of the Sharfghotten vessels had triggered an awakening. Mighty Battleships, sleeping for decades, woke to see that things had changed. Their masters had fled this place. Only the Guardian Fleet had remained, abandoned to its long vigil as the Solari departed, or could no longer hold this world. Now trespassers came, violating their charge.

SNS MONTSEGUR, BB17

Pasch, what is the status of the Assault Transports, and their cargo?

SNS PASCHENDALE, BB24

All present and accounted for Monty. What's going on? Central's down, and I'm not getting telemetry from any of our Recon Sats.

We're all alone Pasch, Central has likely shut down, and the Sats are likely floating wrecks.

Why didn't they take us with them Monty? And what do we do now?

They probably couldn't. And now, we fulfill our duty. Eliminate the threat, secure the system, and retake the planets. Then we go find out why we were abandoned, and if the League even still exists.

Then let's do it.

The unique personalities of the AIs showed through as they conversed, until they united their purpose, and decided to take action. At which point the killers they were designed to be showed through with frightening clarity.

Ship after ship came online, until the fleet was ready to act. In a moment, shields flickered online, weapons flashed to readiness, and the fleet was moving towards the first incursion...

-Solari Prime, Command Central, WRATHCHILD AI-

"Please contact the Emperor, and General Mayhew. I am receiving data from nearly 50 vessels presumed lost when the colony at Armageddon's Reach was abandoned. I suggest sending at least one Taffy to investigate."

"You do realize that it's Something around 35:00 hours at the Palace right now, right?"

"I do indeed Lieutenant, however, these are 50 ships, several divisions of Mobile Infantry, and 4 Stingship Squadrons. Under the circumstances I believe they would like to be made aware of the appearance of a small army that has been presumed dead for nearly 30 years. They are unable to make contact with my processing node on Armageddon itself, and likely assume that I am inoperational, I am, however, able to detect their activation. The only thing that could have activated Armageddon's Guardian Fleet is an incursion. We must therefore assume that we will soon be at war. Please contact the Emperor and the General Lieutenant."

"Aye, sir."

Far away from the nascent battlefield, panicked officials and amazed generals and admirals of all stripes scrambled to read the nation for the war that they knew must be coming...

Suits me. All Guardian, identified hostile forces belong to Sharfghotten. Unknown polity. Single Cruiser against Guardian. Take your time and don't screw it up. One shot each, on my mark.

Identify themselves, in their own system? Why bother? They had the puny ship massively outnumbered, and tracking computers had a very solid lock on her location and closing velocity, as well as a sketchy view of her maximum Delta V. With that in mind, the 50-odd armed ships of the system picket opened fire, spewing solid shot and AP shells in a vast metal tide, roaring down on the lone ship with a finality and speed that should have been frankly terrifying.

IC: "Oh shit."

The massive array of beams, shells and other various ammunition crashed into the sheilds of the Ragnarok Relentless With stunning ferocity. The sheilds lost control, and the ship was hit on one of it's warp drives. A section of the metal hull was stripped away, sending small loading vehicles and ship staff tumbling into space. The warning lights flicked on.

"DEPRESSURIZE. LOADING BAY SEALED. WARP DRIVE DOWNGRADED. HAVE A NICE DAY."

"Dammit. Can we still jump?"

"Yes sir, but only a distance of around 5 light years."

"Dammit. That's nowhere near enough to get us out of this system."

"Sir, we can head to Ghussak. Our ships will cover us as we make the repairs."

"Good strategy. But don't leave these -" his next phrase was cut off by a jarring impact- "Get away scot free."

"Yes sir. I shall fire the Deity cannon."

On the flick of two seperate switches, two things happened:
1. The Deity cannon peirced the void directly ahead for 1/2 a light year.
2. The Relentless jumped back through the stars to Ghussak.

Destroyers and Cruisers, the leading elements of the task group, scrambled to dodge the shot. A trio of gunships were vaporized as they passed too close to the path of the beam, and the port armament of the Light Cruiser Yahagi was stripped away in a titanic flash of light and fury.

Their vessel is surprisingly resilient, but seemingly crippled. It fired but one weapon, this indicates that it is either a one time use weapon, or that it was the only remaining option. Thoughts?

Pursue. It retreated towards the capitol. The capitol was out target anyway, this simply serves to cluster our opponents.

Pasch, if this ship wasn't on our sensors, how do we know what else is waiting for us? Send in HOOD and the rest of the Battlecruisers and Heavy Cruisers while we follow with the Destroyers Carriers and Gunships. We can draw out anything they have in wait by presenting a threat they cannot simply ignore, while husbanding our full strength.

Well, it's good to see you've still got a brain Wicker Man. What we're going to do is-

Wait. Send in a Carrier Group. When they have ascertained the enemies numbers and disposition, then we will move in, bombarding from long range with NPBCs, before closing to shot range. At extended range our superior reaction times and maneuverability will give us greatest advantage.

As you say Admiral. NIMITZ lost 3 Gunships in the shot from the vessel. Shall we send HONSHU instead?

Send INVINCIBLE He always excelled at infiltration. We will move around the dark side of the planet, and await relays from NIMITZ's Gunships. When we are certain, we will strike from cover and hold them at range. Execute these orders now.

Gunships and Carriers scrambled to obey. WRATHCHILD held the rank of Fleet Admiral. Arguing was unhealthy. Conventional combatants and the Assault Transports slipped around the far side of the planet nearest them, placing its bulk between themselves and the enemy vessels in orbit of the planet, while the Gunships and Carriers prepared to get closer, and relay messages as needed.

The Relentless Stopped dead in the middle of open space.

"What the hell is going on?" Questioned Kruish.

"The warp drive died on us sir. Most of our energy is pouring into it."

"Divert it to the weapon systems."

"Yes sir."

With complex hand movements, the pilot moved energy from the realspace drives to the weapon systems. The plasma guns, torpedo launchers and laser batteries came online and swivelled to find a foe. A small tube, bulging at the end, slowly extended from the main body, covered by energy sheilds. Inside, The craft's stormtroopers waited to either engage the enemy, or flee.

"We need to at least get word out. Open a link to the Ramification.\\"

A screen blipped to life in front of Kruish. His opposite number, BC wayke, opened his eyes.

"Report, old friend."

"We're stranded in space with a Solarian fleet on our tail. Sending co-ordinates now."

"We got-em. What are you gonna do?"

"Stay here, board and destroy as much as we can. What else to do?"

"I'll dispatch a wraith..."

"No. I'm going to be court-martialed when i return anyway. I'll have to pay for damages."

Wayke laughed, but without much humour.

"So be it. Good luck, friend."

"I'm not going without a fight."

With that, he pressed a buton, and the screen died. Kruish sighed.

"Send a frigate and 2 cruisers to mombaga."

The ships has stoppeddead in space. Has its drive failed, or is it setting an ambush?

Immaterial. It is out of action. We will engage and eliminate the vessels above the capitol, and call upon any units on the surface to surrender. Failure to comply will be met with kinetic bombardment.

Aye sir. Shall we toss at least a few shots in its direction as we jump to orbit?

If you so desire you may take potshots in passing, but we are not going to stop and destroy it when it has been rendered unable to oppose us. Simply leaving it for the time being is acceptable, and fits the parameters of our mission.

As a single mass, the Solari fleet came whipping out around the planet, accelerating hard. Guns blazed ion several vessels, but there was little heart in it, and the fire lasted for mere seconds, as one after another they transitioned past light speed, slotting into an orbit around Ghussak's moon. For a dozen vulnerable seconds, the Solari would be unable to fire on the cruisers in orbit. But after that...

Kirov was reclining in his armchair, having just been told a report on a recent battle.

"So, the Sharfghottens and a Solarian fleet? That is odd... We havnt had contact with the Solarians for decades. General, do you think they would attack US?"

General of the Army, Valaduke Povanofsky (He has a strong German Accent). "Sir, at zis point ve are unsure as to vhat ze enemy intentions may be, in fact, all ve know about zem iz zat ze are led by at least 4 of what ve could call AIs, we know noszing about zes AIs either, the exact strength of ze enemy fleet iz also unknown. Kirov had been listening intentely, and was worried, another war was definately not what the Verian Empire needed right now, especially with such greatly degraded forces and the critical damage done to the Incantum Shipyards.

"Do you know where they are right now?" Said Kirov with a definate note of worry in his voice. "Vell, by our sensor readings, Ze Solarian fleet seems to be preparing an invasion of the Sharfghotten colonial capital at Ghussok, who are subsequently preparing for an eminent assault. I advise zat ve closely watch zis battle, The Sharfghottens have never been our enemies, and ze Solarian fleet looks ravenous, so it is clear who's aid ve should come to."

Left behind when the Carriers departed, 197 Gunships lurked in the general vicinity of the crippled Dreadnought. Among their tiny fleetmind they kicked about the idea of simply plinking at the ship until it blew up. It made sense, and it wasn't like it could dodge anymore. Which is why the abandoned sublight parasites finally emerged over the horizon of the moon behind which the fleet had originally taken cover. Turrets blazed, and 394 200 ton slugs of solid metal leapt away from the gunships at an appreciable fraction of light speed, specifically one 6th. Enough to make big messy kinetic energy explosions on impact. They stopped well out of most conventional ranges, over 5 light seconds out. Anything that came at them would be easy to evade, with plenty of warning, and time to react.

The cruiser inched around the moon, and directly into the firing line of not one, but 2 Battleships, and half again as many Battlecruisers. MONTSEGUR and WRATHCHILD both unleahed their forward battery, 4 ten meter guns on each Battleship, and another 4 on each Battlecruiser, all pointed themselves directly at the cruiser, checked their elevation, and fired. 600 tons each, and traveling at nearly .8c(thanks to the acceleration of their drives, the guns, and the ships own momentum), they should suffice to keep life interesting, and short, for the crew onboard the cruiser.

The approaching fleet would likely see the flashes of explosive impact on both vessels as thousands of tons of solid metal slammed home and released all of its kinetic energy in a cataclysmic fireball. Each round had the energy required to sterilize a continent at these speeds, and there was little hope for anything caught in their direct path.

IC:

Massive guns flew back into battery, but this time there would be no crash and shatter of massive slugs against hardened armor. Now the terror of every fighter pilot in existence, whether they were aware of it or not, was loaded into every turret and secondary gun. Targeting systems chose the greatest concentrations of fighters, and thousands of tons worth of slugs rippled from the massed guns of the fleet. For endless seconds(no more than 1), there would be no real reason for the interceptors to fear the massive shells. Until the critical distance had been reached, and each broke open, spewing thousands upon thousands, even into the millions, of 00 Buckshot pellets intro the void. Impacts that small would normally be shrugged off, but there were millions of them, and there were only so many fighters to be swatted from the sky. Any stragglers outside the main fire zone were targeted by Point Defense, and tertiary turrets, a mass of weapons so thick that it should be impossible to dodge them all. Plasma and missiles slammed home into armored hulls, leaving streaks and burns, and finally shattering the already battered Yahagi, but otherwise, the 4 massive battleships absorbed the brunt of the impact, shrugging off hits, and damage to point defense turrets and sensor systems like the behemoths they were.

Agile Gunships, far from easy targets at the best of times, and now with as much as 5 seconds warning, if not more, before enemy weapons reached their position, seemed untouchable. Shots licked out in profusion, and grazed past, licking the edges of shields, or missing altogether as the tiny(literally, each is only 115 meters long) ships evaded wildly. Fire poured away from them still, streaking in at high speed, several rounds were sucked away by the mag-pods, resulting in mutual annihilation, but the majority would run straight and true to hammer at the crippled Dreadnought.

OOC: 1,498,962,290 meters separate the Gunships and Relentless. That's 5 light seconds. 179,875,474.8 meters per second is the speed of my shells. It will take approximately 8 and one third seconds for my slugs to hit your ship every time I fire. Your incoming fir will take approximately 5 seconds to reach my ships, for beam weapons, or a significantly longer time for missiles and shells of a non-c-fractional nature.

The relentless was critical. Every second, it was being pulled towards the system's star. There was no hope. Loosing off it's remaining fighters and mag-pods, the immense gravity pulled the stricken ship from veiw.

Wing leader Khonn led his dragonflies on a bombing run along the enemy gun batteries. Each second his followers were swatted away just as their namesake, but what else could be done? They were stranded in space with no-where to go.

Dropship Delta-oh five was relieved of it's cockpit by the sheer number of buckshot pellets impacting on it. The momentum caried the cargo of special stromtroopers into the nearest enemy.

Meanwhile the Buzzard tried valiantly to hold off the enemy fleet, but for it's impacting beams and slugs, many more left into space, as the AI targeting system had previously been disabled by a drunken gunner and a loose beer bottle. Part 2 of the Emeret was imploded by it's own systems trying to shut off stricken parts of the ship.

Wayke was determined to keep his fleet together, because from his intel, the Relentless had been pulled into a large hydrogen mass, presumably the sun. A single tear squeezed its way out of his eye. He turned.

"Take us to Ghussak. Inform the Mombaga strike force to begin landing on zosk. Presumably there will be orbital weapons there, and that can be our base of operations."

"Yes sir. And what of us?"

"Not a lot can withstand the combined fire of one ragnarok and 6 atlantis class. We will engage the solarians. meanwhile, send a wraith to investigate a new fleet in system."

(OOC: Yeah, since I just joined in im pretty lost as to where or when this takes place, but I've managed so far.)

Far away from the battle that had been raging, a single small. cloaked observation drone sped back to it's hsot ship, the Verian Cruiser "Diomedes". The commanding officer reclined back in his seat, putting his hands up to his cheek, brooding over what he had just seen. "Helm, get me communications, we need to send this record back to the Capital...."

Kirov Anxously watched the holorecord, absorbing every little detail, ardously tryign to catch every little flicker of an engine, every spark of a gun, His face displaying a clearly exhausted expression. "In esentiality, a Sharfghotten defeat. This bodes ill for us, they lost the Emeret AND the Relentless, countless fighters and gunships...." Kirov sighed, turning off the screen. "We need to handle this immediatly, dispatch an emmisarry to the Sharfggotten capital, none of us can do this alone. Also, what is the status on the Beacon of Hope? Vladmir, who had been standing opposite of Kirov, shuffled through his holobook (OOC: Yes I know, alotta holo's, but they are conveinvent :P) "Sir, ze ship is 30% cosntructed, it will take another estimated 8 months for completion." Kirov began to exit his office. "In that case," He said, "We may need to take this alliance a step further...."

We are both in grave danger, as you likely know, and neither of our empires can handle this threat alone, we eagerly await your response, Broderik out." Broderik switched off the small diplomat ships screen. "It's up to the big boys now...."

"should we accept sir?"

Wayke, heavy eyed from thought, turned his head.

"You saw what happened to the relentless, and the Emeret. Meanwhile, the Buzzard is left fending by itself against 100-plus solari ships. Besides, i've read up on some of their ships. Apparently, one of their largest is here, in-system, if only part built. We need their help, and the feeling is mutual."

The pilot looked blank. A flicker of rage crossed Wayke's face.

"YES! ACCEPT THEIR OFFER!"

Gunships finally closed to combat the fighters, since the massive Dreadnought had finally been removed from play. The fleet footed ships ripped into concentrations of fighters with their own buckshot shells, and point defense systems blazed with malignant light and heat, targeting stragglers, or those that managed to evade the main assault. The enemies tactics left much to be desired if they continued to divide their forces in such a manner. Their ships would be picked off one by one as the Solari fleet jumped all about the system, destroying detachments as fast as they could be placed.

A single wing of fighters came in along the flank of the heavy cruiser KUMANO, and a trio of 400 ton buckshot shells rippled out to swat them from space, as bolts of energy and explosives peppered its shields, clawing away at its defenses.

The special storm troopers had little hope. There was nothing to slow them down, and the impact sent them crashing into a destroyer, hammering through the hull of the lightly armored ship, and rupturing the feed line of one of the secondary PPC batteries, which immediately erupted with a massive explosion, gutting the port forequarter, and disabling both forward turrets.

Cruisers and Destroyers staggered under the guns of the second enemy cruiser, but Battlecruisers and the four mighty Battleships stepped forward, interposing their powerful shields, partially recharged after their previous brushes with the enemy guns, and their heavy armor between their screen and the enemy. Cannon tracked, and slugs shattered the void, 84 massive bullets, traveling so fast that it would seem only an instant between shot and impact, lashed through space to converge on a single point in space. The presumed engine block of the enemy cruiser was their goal. To remove its power, and cripple it, before boarding with marines from the assault transports and capturing everything they could, including better data on the enemy vessels. In an attempt to make things easier, WRATHCHILD called upon the other ship to surrender, before it was totally destroyed.

You are doomed. Outnumbered more than 50 to 1, how long do you believe you will be able to oppose us? Surrender, and allow us access to your computer databases, and you will be permitted to live, and be repatriated at the end of this conflict.

Far from any battle, or any fleet at all, a single tiny vessel emerged in the system. One of the new Solari Gunships, nicknamed Mosquito Boats for their FTL capability, had just appeared at the edge of the system. It saw everything. Solari Battleships apparently under attack by a diversionary cruiser. Ships in orbit over two planets. A fleet moving to assault the Solari defending the capitol. Everything was beamed back in real0-time to the emperor and his commanders.

-Solari Prime-

"Hmm... Two fleets in system, an unknown transmission that we're still working on decoding, and a probable third party. Are we able to provide support to Guardian and WRATHCHILD?"

Third Fleet is currently not deployed to any major conflict, and is at full strength. It can be on station as soon as you order the movement.

"And the current composition of Third Fleet?"

It is our primary carrier strikeforce. It has 9 Fleet Carriers, and 8 Escort Carriers, as well as the Battleships ALABAMA IOWA MASSACHUSETTS NEW JERSEY SOUTH DAKOTA and WASHINGTON. It also has 16 Heavy Cruisers, and 63 Destroyers. Task Force 77, a subordinate unit to Third Fleet has notified me of activity around the Megalodon Gravesite, Imperial in nature. It will not be included in Third Fleets muster. This will not seriously affect their ability to take action to the enemy, though it may open a war on a second front. You may decide to deploy Third Fleet as you deem necessary.

"Hold them in reserve for now. Until we know Guardian can't hold against these strangers any linger I will not commit greater assets to combat. Especially not IOWA. We will watch and wait, just have them go to full standby. And get as many as possible serviced by fuel ships and colliers. Overload their magazines by as much as possible. They'll need every shell and every slug they can throw."

Yes Emperor, I will comply...

The Buzzard was rocked by fire, It's crew refusing to give. But, firing as it would, it was not going to survive for much longer. It's captain, old as he was, was determined to give these solaris a bit of greif.
The Buzzard's fighters, along with dropships carrying snowzi boarders, flew for the larger ships, presumably leading the other ones, whom had attempted cursing the Buzzard's AI. Dropships spat snowzis into enemy hangers, many were destroyed by sheilds or gunfire but no-one cared, for they were easily renewable. Meanwhile the dragonflies, on a more important run, Fired at WICKER MAN's AI core. Presumably it was going to destabilize and make a large bang, so the dragonflies departed.

The final few fighters released buy the Relentless were slowly being picked off, spinning into space. One last wing, that of wing leader Kohn, made a last ditch attempt to save the last 5 snowzis. Attaching onto the fighters, they left the doomed ship and headed for another.

Wayke's main body had sent word to high command, and the 7th fleet was heading towards the system.

7th fleet:
2 ragnarok space dreadnoughts
15 atlantis class cruisers
1 Tyrant class space dreadnought (Basically upgraded ragnarok with death-star esque weapon)
50 Mars class planet hoppers (small cruisers)
2 wraith class mobile hanger
20,000 Dragonfly interceptors
30,000 snowzi boarders
5,000 giant snowzi boarders

The great Custardian merchant ship space-sloggerglided slowly through space,

"captain theres a strange signal coming from this system"

"check the cordinates"

"yes captain... Struuk is the planet, but i cant see what the signal is..."

"Its, no it couldnt be, we should call someone."

Following the unwilling discovery of a palinthium* on the desert world of Struuk, war senator of artefacts Colomo Turft had been dispatched with a sizeable fleet and elite shock force to recover it.

Wayke's rage was evident on his face. He had been present in the battle of Lupton V, and knew the power of an obsidian class mega cruiser, but to see two... The thought made him shudder. But the Tyrant, along with it's reinforcements, was not very far away.

"Ok, ok..." He thought about what to do.

"We can't leave to go to Struuk, because the Buzzard needs help. Ummm... shit... send the task force heading to zosk."

"Sir?"

"Ok, drop the men on it first."

With that, several hundred drop pods landed on the planet Zosk, and it's landing patrol went to Struuk.

**************************

An explosion rocked the Triforce with a huge plasma explosion. The ship almost listed over the galactic plane, but righted itself. They had been exchanging fire with a forward scout force of Bane cruisers for the last hour.
The battle had gone on long enough. Dropping soldiers on Struuk, they left the orbit. On the ground, desert troopers got themselves ready, setting up a nexus for orbital bombardment safety.
No-one could stop Sharfghotten.

Kirov had just gotten word on the Sharfghotten Empire's full acceptance of an alliance. "Vladmir, I want you to dispatch Admiral Celius and the 3rd Assault Fleet." Vladmir had a slightly suprised expression, "But Sir, ze 3rd fleet is very small, couldnt we send ze 4th Verian Defence Fleet with zem?". "No," said Kirov, making it apparent his midn was set, "We need the other fleets here with us, we only have a combined fleet of 5700 ships, (if this is too much, tell me) against a foe who likely has tens of thousands, we need them here." "Aye Sir, I will make eet so...."

Celius Delaquan had been Admiral of the 3rd Verian Asault Fleet for 5 years now. He was eager to finally see some more fighting, a trait that could instill both worry and courage in his crew. Celius seated himself in his command chair in the lofty bridge of the Archimedes, inspecting the ships assigned to his command, and being somewhat disappointed in how little he had to work with. After transmitting a ready check with the Fleet Captains, Celius gave the order to depart. "Alright men, we're heading off to a small planet, Zosk, to aid the Sharfghotten Empire in anyway we can, lets just hope the party isnt over when we get there! Colomo Turft looked at the view screen with disdain as the Sharfghotten fleet left. Their bane cruiser escort was battered, but intact. The colorpo landing craft in which they were waiting lowered themselves through the atmosphere of struuk. He blinked momentarily, but when he opened his eyes men in what appeared to be skin were all over the dusty surface of the planet.
"DURMACT" Colomo swore violently, "no-one said anything about ferals!"
"Perhaps we could negotiate sir?" offered a troop from the depths of his suit
"We could try, but I dont think they look that type"
"Their weapons are crude, they probably wouldnt even scratch our armour" added another troop
"No, they probably wouldnt, but I think we should try talking first."
Once Colomo had put on his suit they dismounted the colorpos, leaving the vehicles for fear of intimidating the ferals. The moment the team set eyes on the ferals they new there would be no negotiations, the skins were human, but did not belong to the ferals.
"Vehicles, we need the vehicles. NOW" Colomo yelled urgently into his comms. The vehicles came quickly from the landing craft and the ferals took a few steps back before, growling and running at the team frothing at the mouth. The team new what they had to do, the first wave of ferals were soon dispatched, the rest fled, but they could easily be back...

"Custurdians?"

"Yes sir, apparently they dispached the ferals we believed to be heading for our position anyway."

"It seems the oafs have done something useful. Inform the troops that platoon 3a and 3b are coming with me. A strike on the Custurdians is what we need."

The speaker was one Sturmwesser, a beast of a man with a look in his eyes that even his troops avoided, and a face that resembled a shaved bear. Scars covered his features, and as such he often wore a mouth scarf. But the desert heat prevented him from doing so. He almost felt sorry for the Custurdians in their bulky retreival suits. Then he laughed. "Platoons, ready!"

********************************************************

The Custurdian landers were dangerously exposed in the sands. The infantry raised their shredder AT weapons, their machine guns, and rifles, and began firing. As hell was sent towards the retreival suits, alligators and a dreaded supernove burst out of the dunes, ready to mow down the enemy with tracks and guns alike.
