A private tutor is found gruesomely murdered in his residence. The murder is not the only crime at the residence. A young girl is missing, presumed kidnapped by the authorities. The girl's name is Jennifer Greyson, daughter of the mayor. The city is outraged and the grieving parents are relentless in their attempts to recover her. The circumstances of her disappearence are mysterious and full of questions with few answers. A bright young girl gone, taken away on Beacon Hill, the richest and safest part of the city of Boston. As the authorities try to find Jennifer and bring her hom safe, more seemingly unrelated murders are committed across the city but they all do have one tie...Jennifer. Distraught and depserate, the parents enlist the aide of a private investigator to help them track down their daughter and her kidnapper. Jennifer is the key to unlocking the truth behind all the murders but the parents and close friends guard a terrible secret about her. The farther they go, the more complicated and strange the case becomes as an unimagineable evil is born and let loose upon the city for evil can take on any shape, any face, and any age.

History: Amherst grew up in an Irish neighborhood in Boston. There, he lived a rough life in a poor family; however, he worked hard to make something out of his life. In high school he was on the football team and studied diligently. In college, he earned a degree in criminal investigations, he was the first in his family to go to college. He always desired to be a police officer, like his father. So, after graduating the academy he had a promising career ahead of him until one fateful night that changed his life forever. After that night his life spiraled downwards, his wife divorced him and remarried, taking their young daughter. Amherst suffered from depression and alcoholism. Three years ago he tried to commit suicide but the round in the chamber was a dud and misfired. This altered his life once again and he's been on the slow and painful road to recovery. He started his own private investigations company which became a descent success. Deep down inside he's a good man but a tortured one at that. His past demons are numerous and omnipresent as he struggles to redemn himself.

Following a tax scandal that forced the mayor to prematurely drop a bid fro reelection, Henry Liam Greyson ran a strong campaign as one of Boston's most steadfast and famous sons, built on his now attention getting platform of responsible fiscal management and streamlining government functions.

After his first term, crime had gone down, property taxes had been slightly lowered, and the City of Boston was running on a budget that devoted more money to schools, police, fire response, and road maintenance. He won his reelection with a stunning 63% of the vote, and entered office on a strong wave of public support. Charming, inteeligent, and a man that admitted to wrong thinking about his port initiatives, Greyson has the hearts of Boston behind him, all the while carefully concealing a deep family secret.
