SKyetech Industries Looks To Outsource

Siap

Due to a long running labor-shortage in The Community, Skyetech Industries is looking to outsource some of the more simple assembly and construction of its products.

Skyetech Industries, in addition to purchasing the land and gathering whatever permits are necessary, will pay $7.15 per hour as its lowest wage, and offers healthcare, three weeks of paid vacation, overtime at one and a half of hourly wages and entry into Skyetech's profit sharing program. Employees will also be taught valuable industry skills, from welding to heavy machinery operation.

All employees will be locally hired, including regional managers. During the time of construction and initial production, the regional managers will be brought to Siap and will be trained as managers. The only requirement is that they have completed at least a high school education (even those with college educations will need to spend time at the corporate headquarters, although their time there will be greatly reduced)

Nations with the following natural resources will receive special consideration if Skyetech is allowed to extract them:

Alum
Zinc
Lithium
Tungsten
Aluminum
Silver
Platinum
Other catalyctic metals

Please let us know how many facilities we may open in your nation.

Post-Script: A brief history of Skyetech Industries

Skyetech Industries began as a small-time gun shop owned by Siapian boxer and war hero Jack "the Doberman" Dobenicz. It became a large scale weapons and iron works under his and his sons management. My father began to diverge our interests from weapons and under his direction, Skyetech Industries succesfully created a clean alternative to petroleum based fuels and plastics that propelled Skyetech Industries to the prominence that it enjoys now.

Skyetech Industries has expanded greatly under my management. Skyetech Industries spun off its logistics handling and security management division, which has become the rising success that is TLI (Tactical, Logictical and Industrial) Solutions Inc. While Skyetech does still constructs weapons for The Community and a select few others, the primary focus is chemicals, with biochemistry and materials engineering being its primary focus. Skyetech is a heavy investor into research programs, maintaining two orbital research facilities for studying materials properties in extreme radiation and near absolute zero. Our largest (and most costly) research project now is the room temperature superconductor.

OOC: I don't know what you want manufactured, so really, it seems like a waste to try to do anything until we know what it is.

The New Colony of Lroon would be willing to put our prisoners of war to work in Skytech factories. At this time, we are very limited as to the extent of our land, and so can only offer the land for one facility. However, as we continue to expand, we will be able to offer more land, and more workers.

A valid concern and one that has been addressed.

You are free to build anything you want in Havvy (company wise) but the tax rate is 0.2% of your international profits. Also, the country of Havvy could give you some uranium, if you promise to only use it in Havvy, and not sell it for a profit. (Check the link in my Signature that mentions a trade agreement. Go to the 3rd last post) You will need to send a letter to Jerry Sophrone though, if you want to get some uranium, as currently, I have OOCily told you what my nation is like for business, and that you can go there.

This is acceptable, provided that our subsidiary TLI solutions be allowed to construct and maintain the facility that houses the prisoners (to insure that ethical violations do not occur). We can arrange it so that the wages paid to the prisoners be instead paid to the government or the victims of their crimes, if you prefer.

Skyetech Industries would like to open three small (200 workers) manufacturing facilities within your nation for the time being. We thank you for the offer, but our holdings in Siap provide us with all of the Uranium we need. We are, however, interested in purchasing the scrap aluminum you mentioned in your trade agreement.

We find this to be acceptable, and would request that the money be paid directly to the government, for aid in the expansion of the New Colony.
No Taxes
18-01-2007, 02:19
No Taxes would be happy to host the new facilities. The main things we can offer are:

1) Absolutely 0 taxes on any facilities you set up, including property taxes.

2) A cheap, plentiful source of labor, since there is no minimum wage in No Taxes.

3) If you don't mind hiring prisoners, they will work for free and security for them will be provided.

4) You would need any kind of business license and there would be zero restraints on what you could do.

5) We also have large deposits of aluminum, which are owned by No Taxes Mining Co. Though, they are open to working out a deal.

"Why are you sending us a message telling us your plan. We are glad you are going to build factories in Havvy. Just know though, that the main island of our country Trazic, is a good place for building finished goods, and that building raw goods would be best near our nations guarded docks at the island of Sarmont.

OOC: My last post was OOC, but just for the sake of rping, he will know what you are talking about.

Alright, well than, how much would you like to buy the 30,000 pounds of aluminum we get annually for? Would 40 cents a pound work? Our dollar is worth about 4 of the normal dollars here. So, that would be $12,000. Is that a fair deal?

We have added a postscript to our original offer which should clarify your first question, however to insure that we are perfectly clear, Skyetech Industries has been described by a reporter for the Siap Tribune as "The largest, and probably the only Fortune 500 Wonder Shop." We construct weapons for the Siapian government and for our subsidiary and a few select clients. We also construct aircraft, spacecraft, marine engines, tank armor, fuels for almost any imagineable vehicle, batteries, industrial chemicals (from solvents to sulfuric acid), circuitry to even nanotechnology and much more. We also manage a hedge fund that invests heavily in the Siapian technology market.

We will pay the amount we originally promised to your workers, and the minimum operating time is acceptable. We greatly appreciate the subsidies, but we do not need your nation's military to defend our facility, as all Skyetech facilities must have their security managed by TLI Solutions Inc. It is not that we do not welcome your hospitality, we only note this for the redundance.

We look forward to working with you.

OOC: It is MT/Early PMT (Alternate fuels are possible, but I'm thinking about coming out with the 0° celsius superconductor soonish). And the price on the aluminum is acceptable.
