Montegrande turns to maoism

With the smashing victory of the maoist United People´s Party in the presidential and parliamentary elections of Montegrande a new era in the montegrandean revolution is about to begin, the era of maoism. The president of the United People´s Party, Raúl Alegría, a reknowned academic from peasant origins and professor of Sociology in the University of Montegrande reveals that collectivization will continue and the work of the party will focus on the progress of the revolution inside montegrandean borders and helping revolutionary movements outside the country, which opposes to the cooling down of the Communist and Socialist Parties, which governed coaligued in the "Workers´ Front". The elected president of Montegrande is Arturo Moncada, 52 years old, who was formerly a troops commander of Montegrande until he was accused for negligent command of the troops in a deadly campaign abroad. After 3 years convicted the People´s Justice Assembly found him not guilty and then he became a well known maoist activist, achieving the presidence 5 years after his release from prison. Know he promises a leading role in this new stage of the montegrandean revolution.

In their first month in the power, the United People´s Party and president Moncada have revealed two great changes in the country: the first one is the proclamation of the Democratic People´s Republic, change that symbolizes the pass to a new stage in the revolution, and the second one is their inclusion is the alliance with other 3 minor maoist states: Aguas Calientes, Chairman Mao Lives On and Gleda. This 3 states are under the influence of the United People´s Party and are governed by maoist movements. The trascendence of this change is that Montegrande has not only defending the ideals of the maoist interpretation of marxism, but also has assumed a leading role in the maoist struggle for the stablishment of socialism.
