As the Naashan Carrier Group slowed to a halt on the calm seas, it's escort ships fanning out in a protective box, four Seawolf Class submarines continued past the fleet. They split into pairs to go around the Ezaltian fleet's east and west flanks in a pincer movement on the suspected location of the Clandonian subs.

Meanwhile, the Communications Officer aboard the Valiance prepared messages for both the Ezaltian and Clandonian fleets.

Their crews will be arriving tommorow on some C-47 Globemasters, as I doubt your crews know how to fuel and repair A-7 Wraiths.

The Expeditionary Fleet left the harbor two hours ago. They should arrive at the straits of Nor Nuin Giliath within the day. After that they will move through the Aegean Sea and come upon your southern flank. From there they will move southwest of the Clandonian Fleet, to prevent their escape and to close them in.

Clandonian Fleet, South of Naasha

'Admiral, the Nova Europans seem to be trying to rally against us we are in international waters so we have nothing to fear, if they attack we will be authorised under Clandonian military law to destroy them by what ever means.'

'Satelite thermal imagery shows Naashan fleet movements, they will be destroyed instantly by our superior naval forces if they try any move against our fleet.'

'Captains, I have informed naval command at Danskeran, they have ordered another fleet lead by Admiral Linton which will aproach from the Atlantic to add more firepower to this show. Our Nimrod MR4 ASM-S's are on active long range patrol.'

'By your command sir.' Came the collective response as the video meeting ended. There were high tensions with battle alerts on with Clandonian marines and sailors in full combat or flash gear. Tensions wondering who would fire the shots that could lead Nova Europa and Clandonia Prime into a large scale war....

The Naashan submarines continued to advance slowly, relying on their slow speed and extreme quiet so close to the relatively noisy Ezaltian surface ships to mask their presence. Sonar had yet to detect the Clandonian subs, but once the Naashan vessels got out in front of the Ezaltians they would have a clear, calm sea ahead of them to listen to while their own vessels would be masked by a 'wall of sound' from the surface fleet.

Meanwhile, onboard the NNS Valiance and NNS Undaunted, flight crews were preparing their F-18E Super Hornets and F-14 Tomcat Interceptors for launch. An E-2 Hawkeye from the NNS Undaunted was already circling the fleet, tracking the ominous numbers of Clandonian aircraft and shipping.

The radar information from the Naashan AWACS was relayed to the Ezaltian task force. After seeing the truly massive Clandonian fleet, three squadrons of F-907A Eclipses were sent up, along with two squadrons of F-119A Banshee interceptors.

Clandonian Dintronich Fleet

'Sir the Ezaltian's are deploying more aircraft, I advise we go to full battle stations and prepare for the worst.'

'By your command, I will have one of our Sea Sparows to swatt them down. They will try and take down our precious submarines. We shall the socialists forces fail in a bloody mess, they must not violate our right to maintain a presence in international waters.'

'Well the good news is we can outnumber them, our naval tonneage is that of several of the Nova Europan nations.'

'Huzzah for that, that humoured me now let us prepare for war.'

The Naashan Strike Group had yet to launch any aircraft beside the AWACS. Back on land, the Naashan Airforce was preparing planes of it's own however. A wing of 12 B-2 Spirit bombers was ordered into the air, and assumed a circling formation over the Surdunni desert, a KC-130 stratotanker was being readied for takeoff to refuel these planes if necessary.

Meanwhile the 1st Tactical Bomber Squadron, comprised of stealthy EB-180 Stargazer bombers was put onto alert. It was possible that a night attack from these two squadrons could do some damage to the Clandonian fleet, which would have difficulty tracking them.

[Ezaltian. I just double-folded you with help :p. I bought a few billion dollars worth of ships and the money will go to the war effort! Plus, i'm on your side!]

Although the UNNS disbanded a few weeks ago, we still greatly appreciate Ackistan's support. It is clear that we are going to need strong, combined forces to defeat Clandonia's Navy, which boasts ridiculous numbers of vessels.

We urge you to refrain from attacking Clandonia's Atlantic fleet until our situation in the Ionian Sea is resolved however, in case a peaceful solution can be reached. We will, unless otherwise instructed, forward this information to our Ezaltian allies in order to keep them up to date with the situation.

The Fifth Xeno Combat War Fleet has been sent from Naval Base Stalin II. Its main and only objective is to destroy the Clandonian Atlantic fleet and protect the southern part of Kroando. Its objectives could be changed so that the Fifth Xeno Combat War Fleet would be sent to protect the northern part of Kroando, though this seems un-likely.

Some 300km's South of Clandonian Fleet

The Coalitionist Mediterranean Battle group was initially deployed to begin strikes against Enemy Dartian Bases... however with the movement of the Clandonian Fleet into the area... it was time to thank their Nova Europan Allies. The force deployed was of no great size, fourty nine Tenerife SSH's and three Cadiz Class SSBN's... but it was enough to put a dent into the armies of these imperialist dogs. Besides, another defeat for Clandonia, one on the waters may very well be enough to force them from the war, such a prospect had to be capitalized upon immidiately.

"Captain! Orders from Admiral Kapitz!", shouted a young Naval Officer as he eagerly decifered the code. Captain Harlan, a proven veteran of several global conflicts approached the working sailor, looking over his shoulder at his work, decifering the code without the elecrtonic device used by the young man. Beating him by a long shot Harlan shouted out the words. "All men report to battle stations." Red lights flashed, men shouted, the hydrolic cranks of the Tenerife turned the Valour Class Anti-Shipping Missiles into their designated cells, preparing for the inevitable. After exactly two minutes of this, the men sitting at the weapons control panel were hit with an uneasy silence, sweating nervously, waiting for a little light bulb to turn green. And then it did. Two keys were turned, an acess code entered and the 'fire button' was pressed. Two Valour A9/00 Anti-Shipping Missiles (http://z14.invisionfree.com/Kroando_Tech_Inc/index.php?showtopic=22) rocketed out of the VLS tubes, spinning into the air before they eventually leveled out a meter over the water, and rocketed towards the Clandonian Fleet. Each of the 49 Tenerife SSH's had done the same, firing 98 of the missiles at various Clandonian Vessels.

SIC:
The whole thing was mostly a lie. They had sailed from Port Ciao IV nearly two weeks before the message had even been sent and were already meeting up with the rear of the Ezaltian fleet. The large Nimitz carriers all had sixty Su-37's one them, along with thirty MiG-29 Fulcrums. The other fifty submarines had formed a complete circles around the super carriers and were armed with mostly Submarine-to-Missle defensive weaponry. Nearly all of which could be launched under water. The second part of the Taskeforce had lagged behind, 4th Xeno Escort Battle Fleet, which contained a ten Iowa-Class battleships and fourteen Ticonderoga-class cruisers.

Transmition to Ezaltian Imperial Navy:
Our new ships are off to your North West and will be supporting you in this war. We have about thirty ships here to support you and will use them to destroy the Clandonian Atlantic Fleet.

We hope we are now allies, Ezaltia. If not in peace-time atleast in this war. And be sure if you do forget to bring the extra steel boats, we will spare a few for you.

"What are they doing!?" Admiral Green exclaimed loudly as the missile launches began appearing on radar. "We could have solved this peacefully!"

Captain Banks coughed hesitantly. "Sir, the Kroandans are already at war with the Clandonians, and that was a submarine launch. If the Clandonians can't hit back then nobody else gets drawn in."

Nathaniel Green scowled, but nodded eventually. "I just wish... well, it seems like we are the only ones who didn't want this to turn into a war, and if we lose this battle, then it's Naasha who will most likely pay the consequences."

The Captain nodded sympathetically for as short a time as it was possible to stay polite, before rushing to the front of the Bridge. Taking up the tannoy, he addressed the crew, and via radio, the rest of the fleet.

"All ships are to ready for action immediately, come about and take battle formation. We may all be rather new at this, but dammed if we're going to give a bad first impression of ourselves!"

SIC:
"Holy Buddha!" Such cries were heard threw out the Fifty and Fourth Xeno fleets as reports came in that the Clandonians had been fired upon.

Fifth Xeno Combat War Fleet:
Admiral John Peter stood still, not moving an inch, just looking at the digital map of the watery battlefield. He realized that his two fleets formed a bulk of the allied fleet, and he was proud of this. But he wouldn't let pride ruinin his reputation or cloud his judgment. He held back all his planes until the time was right. "Move the fifth up to the South Western flank of the Ezaltian fleet. I want all MiG-29 fast attack Fulcrum squadrons ready to deploy at a moments notice. And I want the subs to have their defensive missles ready for deployment!" The Admiral yelled to his second-in-command, Captain Waterz. He then turned to his radio, messaging the Ezaltian fleet. "We're moving to your South West flank, please refrain from attacking the Clandonian fleet yet. We need to wait till the Kroandon fleet has their attention." He then continued to look at the constantly updated map of the naval battlefield.

Fourth Xeno Escort Battle Fleet:
"Full speed!" The angered Admiral Arnold Holds screamed at his men. "How dare they start the battle with out us!"

Then one of his officers replied, "Sir, were do you wish to go?"

"Straight to the damned battle!"

"Sir, the commander ordered we hold back to him!"

"Damnit!" Admiral Holds replied, his angry retreating from him. "Thank you, officer. I may have ruined the whole battle plan." The officer simply nodded and retreated to his station. Admiral Holds returned to his orders, "I want all ships at full speed! Get to Admiral Peter's rear as quickly as possible!" Ayes were yelled here and there.

Commodore Cariveaux's mouth dropped as he saw the missiles appear on the Naashan radar feed. "Oh, shit," was all he whispered before he whipped himself into action. "Launch all fighters!" he barked. "Get me in contact with the Scylla! General quarters!"

Sailors scrambled aboard all the ships, loading shells, prepping missiles, and feeding belts of bullets into machine guns. Aircraft poured off the Chimaera, lurching into the air and falling into formation. Everybody hled their breath, waiting anxiously for the Kroandan missiles to connect.

[Do we out-number their fleet yet? And I found a big whole they could exploit. Hint, look at Errikland's owned territory and Finland. If they have re-inforcements coming threw there they could block our retreat... if need there be one. Or they could just rear us... hard. If it weren't for their aircraft compliment being soo weak we wouldn't stand a chance! But since we do! Launch all fighters!]

Uh..we're nowhere near Finland. We're off the coast of Greece.

Unfortunately our 'gripes' cannot. Clandonia Prime, a longstanding enemy of Nova Europa, is involved in the attack on Kroando, which, E.V.I.L or not, is still part of the Nova Europan Alliance.

By the way, Church of the Nine, Naasha allowed you basing rights because we didn't like Kroando being attacked, we in no way support the E.V.I.L alliance.

The movements of the Ackistani and Buddha Cian fleets had been carefully noted, a more of a threat to the Clandonian naval consortment. The orders were not to fire upon unless hostily provoked and with that the use of nuclear ASM's had been authorised against the inferior nation. Buddha C had cried out, the young one would be quickly silenced with its pathetic bath toy naval group.

The Ackistanis were long term enemies of the Clandonian people, now they had chosen to follow the path of EVIL, a great shock that those who pledged freedom and peace to world to join the tirade of baby blending nations run by evil mad female elves.

'Admiral, we have news from command the Clandonian ships in the Med were attacked by Kroandonian forces it seems. They are responding, in the mean time I suggest we go to battle stations.'

Clandonian Dintronich Fleet

The suprise movement of Kroandonian forces into the area was of joy, let them pay for the defeat in the North. As the missiles streaked inbound the Clandonian CWIS systems calculated the inbound affects and their projected launch position.

A 5kt Clandonian Sea Harpoon was fired into the patch of the enemy missiles as the small nuclear explosion attempting to bring down the missiles.

As the ten missiles that did get through, two of them hit a pair of Albions, hitting transport ships that carried nearly 2000 marines. Major fires onboard resulted in the listing of the vessels as service personal were ordered to jump ship.

Four Type 45 destroyers took hits, two were sunk after major structural damage forced them to fill with water flooding their engines, they listed. The other two were severly damaged and would be spending their time in the dry docks at Danskeran. Three hit some of the prized carriers, knocking one of duty as its armoured deck buckered, the other two lost elevator systems and personal. Admiral Dintronich was on one of the carriers was hit as he watched from the bridge, the oily smoke starting to obstruct his view as Kirov cruiser was hit, destroying its running gear.

'Admiral we have confirmed, ordering all ships to return fire!'

Numerous ASROC's were deployed from their VLS systems on the missile cruisers, Merlin and Seahawks went to drop their depth charges and torpedoes to where the missiles had arrisen from. The sprays of salt water as explosions forced up the water, Merlins dropping Mk 24 Tigerfishes into the sea.

Kroandan Battlegroup

"Jesus Christ Sir! Nuclear fallout! They nuked the missile wave!", shouted an unnamed Naval Officer, as the nuclear explosion knocked out scores of Valour Class Anti-Shipping Missiles. "Sir, we have Clandonian ASROC's fired!" The order for the battlegroup to dive was given, to the depth of 1.6 kilometers... but this was a largely irrelevant move. The ASROC was a deadly Anti-Submergable weapon, capable of knocking out even the latest in submarine technology. However there was one small problem. The ASROC had a range of under 30 kilometers... the Kroandan Vessels were 300 kilometers away. The massive wave of missiles unleashed by the fleet simply 'ran out of gas' long before it ever became a threat to the submarines. The explosions were actually closer to harming the Clandonian fleet than the Kroandan vessels, which were safely out of range. [ASROC has a range of 28km's... dont worry, ive done it before too.]

ASROC's were ineffective, however it was only a matter of time before the Clandonian's hit back with something else, ergo they simply 'shut up', giving the enemy the perception that they had been killed in the strike. All RADAR information was relayed from a remote passive site, as with SONAR... they however, made no noise... just sitting there.

Clandonian Dintronich Fleet

With the fleet still suffering from the attack from the unknown power, many had assumed it was Kroando as the reports of the unusual outbreak of smallpox. Some rumours spread that Spizania or the Clandonian government had done such an attack for revenge on the ice shelf.

At around 2200 the underwater operations officer noticed a slight movement on the magnetic radiation levels. Assuming it was just wreckage of interferance, nothing would get past the frigates and destroyers ASW coverage. Unknown to the Clandonians to Naashan submarines had slipped in.

Clandonian Linton Fleet, Atlantic Ocean

'Sir we are now within firing range of the Buddha Cian fleet, I suggest we call in Nimrod MR4 recon, if it all goes to pot we can use our TU-22M's with their KH-15's.'

'I agree, the Ackistanis will not risk all out war as they are sensible and rational people. The C'ians are not, they are blatenet war mogners as well as members of the EVIL alliance. We must await confirmation from Danskeran before we can open fire, ideally I would like to wait till they provoke us.'

The fleet continued its course, as it moved from the deep waters of the Atlantic to the Mediterranean to assist their fellow Clandonians who were in danger of becoming surrounded. With a potential eight fleets only a few thousand miles apart after the cancelation of the invasion of Emporer Nero the Clandonian navy felt strong again.

'Mr Speaker, I would like to show that the tri-party alliance supports the Empires current action in Nova Europa against the tyranical alliance of EVIL. We pledge full support, to the potential for a war but some of the members feel that war with the other nations of Nova Europa is too risky, they are rational liberal democracys like Clandonia Prime now is. I suggest we continue diplomatic communication to try and halt war, but I will assure you that the Liberal-Conservative coalition government.'

As for the small nation of Buddha C, they will be destroyed by Lintons fleet if they even scratch one of our mighty ships, we have begun drawing up invasion plans. If they continue support of EVIL, then we shall be forced to possibly use our oribtal systems which I would like to report thanks to the Sovereign League help are now 100% operational.'

"Sir! We've managed to break through and into the Clandonian formation. Sonar reports Clandonian carriers up ahead."

"Good, we shall have to rely on the fact that with this many carriers, they'll be using almost all of their frigates and destroyers just on their perimiter. Put us into a gentle dive until we can make like the seabed, use power only, we don't want them seeing any ballast bubbles."

Commander David Nesmith, captain of the Astute-class submarine IES Typhoon, saw his chance. "The Naashans made it through, gents," he breathed, getting into contact with the rest of the submarines. "Follow them, use our ships' engines to avoid detection. Run silent."

The four submarines accelerated quietly, copying the Naashans' trick for avoiding detection...

Admiral Waterz's fleet had met up with Admiral Peter's fleet on the Southern Eastern flank. Waterz's requested that the Ezaltian fleet take on five hundred marines to their secondary flagship, as their decks were far to crowded.

Following the answer from Ezaltia's fleet the Fourth Xeno Battle Fleet would pull to the rear of the Ezaltian fleet for the reason of an already-prepared-defence in case of a retreat. Or if any part of the Ezaltian or Cnian fleet needed support. These also included flanking.

Admiral Peter's carriers that had an assortment of some sixty aircraft, mostly Su-37's. Every Cnian carrier launched ten Mig-29 Fulcrums, armed with Type 93 air-to-ship missles and had them fly over the Ezaltia fleet, for quick response to any Clandonian attacks. However, these fighters would not attack the Clandonians unless ordered by Admiral Peter's himself.

Admiral Peter's spilt off his attached submarines from the main Fifth Xeno War Fleet and had them encircle the whole of Ezaltia's northern flank. These Submarines would be under the command of High Water Monk (HWM) Lopez.

High Water Monk Lopez ordered his submarines to load sub-to-ship torpedoes. He gave the following orders to his submarines. "I want six subs protecting each of their aircraft carriers, two per destroyer, frigate and cruiser. Then I want five per Anti-Aircraft ship they have, and our last six will follow the four Ezaltian subs. Make sure they have sub-to-sub missles. I want them to protect those Ezaltians from enemy subs."

A young captain replied, "Didn't Admiral Peter say to guard the Ezaltian north?"

Lopez's reply was dull and un-enthusatic, "Look, has he commanded a sub before? Has he even been in one before?" He waited for a reply. There was none. "Exactly, now do as told."

Sonar systems went from their passive mode after a large movement was detected, there were now most likely submarines from the enemy under the Clandonian fleet. The Clandonian fleet was ordered to full attle stations to counter the submarine threat with their compliment.

'Call back our submarines from the Ezaltia group, prepare to deploy depth charges these Nova Europans are crazy, do they want a war?'

On the Clandonian fleet, various anti-submarine measures were prepared as sailors and marines rushed to battle stations. Hedgehog depth charge, Mk24's and other assorted depth charges including the valued NDC's or nuclear depth charges were prepared if an attack began they would force the enemy submarine to surface.

Cursing at the clumsiness of his allies, and rather pleased that it wasn't Naasha's inexperienced submariners who had slipped up, Captain Banks strode to the central terminal. Surveying the approximate positions of the fleeing friendly subs, and the now revealed positions of the Clandonian ships his face turned rather pale.

"I didn't realise we were that far ahead of the rest. Alright, we're close enough to the seabed as it is, slow us down to four knots and emergency power, we're going to play whale."

'Sir there is submarine activity under the fleet now, they are likely to be Naashan vessels. If they attack we are in a position to destroy them using our nuclear depth charges.'

'Good continue, our active sonar, lets make their ears ring, it will be interesting how long a submarine of theirs can stay down, do we have intel if they are diesel-electric or nuclear powered?'

'Unknown sir, the last I heard from the CPISF was that they were still following the sales trail.'

The fleet continue deploying its active sonar as Clandonian submarines moved in searching for the unwelcome stranger that had joined their ranks. If they did not identify, then they would be probed further.

Bridge of NNSS 00-03, Seawolf Class Submarine, Ionian Sea

The sonar pings were hitting the submarine, no doubt, however, they were also hitting the seabed, not so far down from the sub. It was this that gave the only remaining Naashan submarine under the Clandonian fleet a chance to get away undetected.

Easing along the bottom, the NNSS 00-03 was headed directly through the centre of the group and out of the other side, where, once the alarm had subsided, the cat and mouse game could begin over again.

Clandonian Dintronich Fleet

With the submarine still down there, the Clandonians decided to put in a little message on the ELF and SLF frequencies to see who was down there.

'OK, I'm ready sir for the message.'

'OK, in fact give me the headset I will send it.'

Admiral Dintronich had once himself been a radio officer on a Clandonian frigate before the civil war. He picked up the headset and adjusted it before clearing his throat. With the selected transmission frequencies imputed, he spoke into the microphone piece.

'Attention unidentified submarinal vessel this is Admiral Dintronich of the Clandonian Mediterranean fleet. State your intentions and surface or you will be assumed to have hostile intentions and will be fired upon.'

Clandonian Linton Fleet

The fleet was now just over 2000 miles away from their friends in the Eastern Mediterranean. With the Ackistani and C'nian fleets visually seen then the long range Khan missiles that had been rush ordered were to be airlifted on or flown in via Nimrod MR4 to be used if there was a credible threat.

As Admiral Linton surveyed his fleet from the bridge of one of the Kirov cruisers, he ordered that a message be sent to Clandonian naval command. The request was the diversion of the five invasion fleets that had been destined for Emperor Nero to be re-routed to perhaps join a Clandonian super battle armada.

OOC: I came across this thread because I was mentioned here a couple of times. I must say there is no way Clandonia Prime's North Atlantic fleet could have bypassed Ackistan's fleet. Ackistan's nation location is perfect for intercepting ships traveling from the North Atlantic to the Mediterranean, and Ackistan's fleet is not burdened by slow moving troop transports like CP's is.

IC: The four submarines stopped, heeding warnings that the Naashans had been detected. Commander Nesmith wished he could slip in and give them a hand, but the Clandonians were too many. Instead, he continued to hover under the Ezaltian cruisers, waiting for an opportunity.

Highland Falls & New Amsterdam Air Force Bases - In preparation for what seemed to be an inevitable attack against the Clandonian North Atlantic fleet, over one hundred refueling tankers and their escorts took to the air. They would soon be flying over the ocean in position to provide refueling services to the Ackistani air force.

Task Force Bravo - Word came down from high command that the Clandonian fleet should be engaged if they did not turn around in the next couple of hours. Upon receiving their orders, the entire fleet went to battle stations. Combat air patrols were tripled while the carriers made preparations to launch their full compliment of aircraft. Between the carriers and the air force, the Ackistanis would darken the sky with aircraft.

That can carry two of the Khan missiles each, if we sunk perhaps the Ackistanis battleships then it would force them to reconsider their little attempt of war.'

'I don't agree with this, I think we should attempt a pre-emp strike on their entire nation using nuclear weapons. We target their main installations, bomb their airbases, use our fighters to bring any bombers down in the air. This would leave them with their naval....'

'Wait, we can't nuke them yet either if we despise them hugely. We continue diplomatic negotiations and deploy 10 FA-20's with their fighter compliments.'

An officer walked in through the door,

'Sir, we have just been notified by satellite inteligence that the Ackistanis have dispatched a large force of fighters.'

'They will attack Admiral Linton's fleet!'

'My God, they really mean it deploy instruct our long range bombers to begin pre-sequence preparations if they are that foolish they have just declared a de facto state of war with us.'

The Clandonian anti-shipping force went into overdrive as one hundred TU-22M Tuplov bombers moved out armed with their six rotary Kh-15 ASM's luckily not armed with nuclear warheads as wanted by some in the chief of staffs who had fought the Ackistani's and would love nothing more than to dispatch their nation with a flurry of mushroom clouds. Nimrod MR4's increased their activity deploy sonar beacons to try and create a defence around the Clandonian Linton fleet, ah good old days of nearly going to doomsday with the Ackistanis....

Bridge of NNSS 00-03, Seawolf Class Submarine, Ionian Sea

The message had been received loud and clear. But dammed if they were going to surface here, heck if the Clandonians could sail where they wanted then so could they. That said, best to be on the safe side...

"Communications Officer, hit them with a blast of static, make it seem like we're damaged. Officer of the Watch, keep our speed and course as erratic as possible. It's not like they can see us or anything."

In retrospect, it was a miracle the sub hadn't been damaged yet, this was the crew's first trip and they had already weaved under the Ezaltian fleet and brushed the seabed here.

Naashan 2nd Carrier Strike Group, Straits of Gibraltar

The sickening skip between the waves was the worst, Admiral Nathaniel Green decided. The part where most of the ship was out of the water, just before it plunged back down again into the choppy seas where the Mediterranean met the Atlantic. Aircraft Carriers weren't meant to make this speed, he decided. Still, the orders had been to get back to Naashan waters as fast as possible and that was what he would do.

The 2nd Carrier Strike Group had been assigned to escort troop transports to Ynesher, before that nation's strange disappearance, and now it was headed back to Naasha with all speed. They'd have to leave the troop transports once they neared the Clandonians, and a few destroyers to escort them back into harbour, but there was another day's hard running ahead of that.

Clandonian Dintronich Fleet

'Christ!' Shrieked the comm's officer as the static nearly burst his ear drum.

'Hmm, they are down there perhaps they are just trying to be difficult with us now, Lets play the waiting game.'

The fleet just sat waiting for some action, they had now been here for several days and many wanted to see action. On the news of the Clandonian New Network was the invasion of Greater Morocco only a few thousand miles away from their current position. Many wondered if the Clandonian fleets would be ordered to move into to help the GASN and allied nations stop the Hatarians. Other than that, the continued fear of the Kroadonians spreading into the South of Nova Europa.

Clandonian Linton Fleet

'Sir, a Merlin crew has just reported the sighting of the Naashan fleet returning to the Mediterranean. They seem to be a force comprised of carriers and troop transports, possibly moving to return to their homeland.'

'Note the details and get it confirmed with Space Command, that could be a good target for a retaliation if a Clandonian vessel is attacked, the deaths of several thousand Naashan's would be good propaganda material back at home.'

The Clandonian fleet continued Eastwards, on their highest alert after the Ackistani threat. With the air force on the way, the higher ranking officers knew the battle would be short if they used their full potential. Many were eager to see the Khan missile in action as well as the FA-20 bombers.

310km's South of Clandonian Southernmost Fleet

The Coalitionist Fleet had remained quiet for quite some time, with no Clandonian Forces persuing them in the least. Perhaps the enemy believed they were dead. Perhaps not. Back at home things were going hay wire, but here, in the depths of the Mediterranean, there was only one thing in mind... war. The Clandonian Fleet was going to sink, one way or another, and thus, the attack began yet again.

Using gathered intell from satellite sources the 49 Tenerife SSH's, spread over a hundred kilometers cranked into place 49 Shockhound Avenger I Anti-Shipping Missiles (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8601244&postcount=27), and prepared to fire them. The 49 missiles were locked onto three seperate aircraft carriers, thinking that even if the ship was not sunk, a hit would still cause a bit of damage. The fourty nine missiles were fired, straight up into the air, finally turning downwards at a steep angle, moving at a speed of mach 3.5 right at the decks of three large carriers. Now if the enemy attempted it's previous stunt with the nuke, well, they would soon find their own fleet covered in radioactive material... so they would have to try something else this time. Carrying 400kilos of OctaNitroCubane, moving at mach 6 at impact, the explosive was enough to crack even the toughest super dreadnaughts... certainly enough to punch through the deck of a carrier. Seconds after launch, all detection equipment was shut off, and the carriers slowly vacated the area, moving about five kilometers closer to the enemy fleet.

"Fire on the Ezaltian ships! Sub and all!" Was Lopez's order as each of them fired their salvo of anti-ship torpedoes. Then they quickly shipped to their anti-air missles, prepared for an enemy fighter attack. Although most likely it would not come from the Ezaltian fleet, as they were surrounded. He directed his next order was to his submarines behind the Ezaltian subs. "Fire on them with all you got!"

"Aircraft! Launch as many missles as it takes to take down the damned Ezaltian fleet!" Admiral Peter ordered his aircraft. He then made another order. This time to the rest of his fleet, "Do not fire on the Kroandan fleet! Plus I want another hundred fully armed anti-ship fighters and two hundred fully anti-air fighters!"

"It's our time!" Admiral Waterz yelled over the fleet control communications. He then ordered his troops, "Fire your guns on the Ezaltian cruisers! I want you to tell the Clandonian fleet that the subs under them are enemy submarines!"

[Basically destroying the enemy fleets, except Clandonia Prime's, thus fore giving your fleet a chance to fall back while I myself survive.]

"Fucking bastards!" Cariveaux roared, slamming his fist against the wall. "Launch all fighters! I want the Cnian fleet to be nothing but a fucking coral reef!"

Meanwhile, the fighters already up in the air opened fire on the Cnian aircraft. Fully 480 AIM-120C-5 AMRAAMs rocketed towards thier targets before the planes concentrated their fire on the new enemy's ships. 384 Harpoons whizzed out from the Ezaltian planes (mostly aimed at your battleships and carriers) before they began to take losses due to AA fire. 16 Eclipses were shot out of the sky, along with 8 Banshees and 5 Blizzards.

The ships were well-prepared for submarine attack. Small anti-torpedo torpedoes were fired immediately, intercepting and destroying most of the Cnian torpedoes. A few snuck through, however, destroying two Daring-class destroyers and crippling a third.

The submarines, however, were caught with their pants down. The for Astutes managed to shoot off 24 torpedoes total at the enemy submarines and 56 UGM-84 Harpoons at the enemy ships before all four were just so much twisted metal falling to the ocean bed.

The anti-missile defenses onboard the ships had been greatly improved since the war with Blackhelm. This did not stop all of the missiles, however. The assault carrier IES Kevin Gunn was completely destroyed, VTOLS and helicopters sliding off its deck and into the warm ocean as the carrier tipped over. A Ticonderoga-class cruiser was also destroyed by the barrage of missiles.

The big guns from the Cnian fleet did the most damage. Three further Ticonderoga cruisers were totally annhilated, and the last was crippled, its engines and bridge wiped out.

The battleship Scylla pounded back at the Cnian battleships with its 16-inch guns and 220-mm railguns. Missiles and torpedoes swarmed out from the surviving Ezaltian ships, their crews determined to fight to the bitter end.

Thanks to the subs anti-missle's they were able to destroy most of the oncoming Ezaltian missles to the carriers and such. "We've lost eight submarines, sir!" Was heard from one of Lopez's assitance. Lopez's responce was cold. "I want half our force on the remaining aircraft carrier and the other on their cruisers and battle ships!" The responce was sad, "We're out of torpedoes!" Lopez grew angry. "RaM THEM!" And so the forty-two submarines went full speed towards the aircraft carriers and battle ships/cruisers. A group of eight went against the AA ships.

One hundred of the originial fighter had to land, and got re-armed with anti-air missles on order this time. Another two hundred fighters got in their air, all armed with anti-air missles. The newly launched hundred fighters with anti-shipping missles opened their payload on the enemy cruisers, they would soon return to the aircraft carriers, one of which had to be pulled from the battle due to damaged, while two others had been badly damaged, and would be cut down if the fleet needed to retreat. "Sir! We lost some fifty MiG-29 Fulcrums! All anti-air armoured except eight."

The Harpoon is a evry advanced missile, and I also have a battleship with railguns pounding you. The entire air complement of the Chimaera was airborne now, the Growlers jamming the enemy's radar as the planes unleashed their ordnance.

A total of 620 AMRAAMs tore off towards the newly launched Cnian planes. The Ezaltian aircraft kept their Sidewinders and few AMRAAMs for later, but launched some 880 Harpoons at the enemy ships. The Blizzards also dropped 300 depth charges on the enemy submarines.

The last Ticonderoga was torn apart by the massive missile barrage, killing all aboard. Both AA destroyers were also destroyed by the battleship shells, along with the two remaining Daring-class ships. The Scylla launched twenty-four torpedoes at the incoming submarines as the aircraft carrier began evasive actions against any torpedoes the Cnians might launch.

At this point, all that remained of the Imperial Ezaltian Navy's 1st Task force was the battleship Scylla, the carrier Chimaera, and the Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate Julius Heartwood. The Scylla continued to pump shells, missiles, and railgun rounds into the Cnian fleet, aiming for the enemy battleships. The Heartwood stayed in between the carrier and battleship, firing torpedoes into the enemy submarines.

Clandonian Dintronich Fleet

'We have high speed in bounds, vectors 26,63.'

'More inbound! Prepare auto-Phalanx systems!'

'50 hostile's inbound, speeds excess of Mach 5!

The message was similar among the Ditronich fleet as the struggle to shoot down the incoming high speed missiles. Four carriers who were on the eastern edge got the first hits as the long range metal storm on one of the prototype defences managed to swat down 27 of them missiles as the neared, the ordinary DU rounds knocked another a measly nine of the air.

It initially that the more than three carriers had been hit, the huge oily black clouds rising into the sky. Three carriers were now having to put up some serious damage control. With one already starting to sink after large 20 metre tear had appeared in the side with the deck punctured the nuclear reactors overloaded nearly melting down into an even worse explosion. For the four engineers who braved the radioactive water from the damaged coolant system they would be awarded the Clandonian Parliaments Medal of Honour for their actions that undoubtedly save the rest of the fleet.

Another carrier was listing dangerously in the submarine as sailors and marines threw the inflateable life rafts over to escape the back current from the sinking carrier. The third one was on fire with the deck punctured it would be spending the rest of the year in the dry docks at Clanon City.

As Dintronich climbed out onto the deck of Super Danskeran he orded the Clandonian military command to be contacted to find who had launched the deadly attack that had just crippled one carrier and finished off two more. The more deadly cost was the 5000 dead and counting, who ever had done this would pay dearly.

Thats right Matt these pictures you are seeing now are of the Clandonian fleet that has just been hit with another deadly attack. Already some are saying it appears to be the Kroandonians....

The President picked up the remote and clicked the tv off.

'So who the hell did this? Your my chiefs of staff, you won't be the ones getting grilled by the families of the odd 5000 brave sons and daughters, husbands and wives that have just been slain.'

The first to get up as the other shuffled the papers was General Tetigen of the Clandonian Air Force.

'Mr President, my boys have confirmed orbital sighting of a group of around 40-50 submarines on IR imaging. Now, these sort of numbers are going to be a large power than the Nova Europans. Best guesses, the Kroandonians have managed to get assets into the Med.'

Clearing his throat from the years of cigar smoking, he tossed the grey scale pictures. The head of the Admiralty looked across through his spectacles, Fleet Commodore Admiral Sir. Villiance Richards spoke up.

'These appear to match out intelligence of Kroandonian submarines. Now, with such a large group I suggest we forget conventional anti-submarine means. Lets dust of the NDC's for Christ's sake before we loose anymore billion dollar equipment.'

'I totally agree.' Came a few other voices, with a few grunts and throat clearing.

'Admiral, are you saying we should nuke the Kroandonians. If they were attacked, they could potentially retaliate against our forces. For Gods sake why are we even at war with them! They told us publicly that they did not want conflict. To save more Clandonian lives, we should withdraw from the area.'

'By your command Mr President but I do suggest we keep the current air deployment.'

'By all means General, I just hope this means that the Dartians are not left defenceless as with their support of the coalition in the war I would expect these submarines to be in striking distance of cities in Darita.'

'Now what's this about the C'nians attacking the Ezaltians? Well hopefully the Nova Europans will now get the point that nations in EVIL are treacherous slimy bastards who do anything in their little imperialistic ways.'

Clandonian Dintronich Fleet

The order for the withdrawal were dispatched by military flash command over the Skynet COMSTAR communications system. Dintronich picked up the print out from the humming printer on his command submarine.

'Well thank fuck for that, order the rest of the fleet to turn back. We're going home ladies and gentlemen.'

NNS Valiance, Ionian Sea.

"Fuck them! Fuck them!" Stormed Admiral Green as he watched the swirling aerial battle between the Ezaltians and C'nians. "Get in touch with Naashan Air Command and get everything we have in range over here, and launch our own goddam fighters! We can't let the Ezaltians down here!"

"Aye sir! Should the remainder of the fleet engage?"

"Have the Ticonderoga Class cruisers give these C'nians a missile barrage, keep them surpressed so they can't get any more aircraft into the air. Order Pride of Naasha to try and lay her heavy guns on them, the guncrews onboard are the best we have. The rest of the fleet is to concentrate on AA and ASW operations."

NNS 00-01, Seawolf Class Submarine, Ionian Sea.

"New orders received sir! Package is to engage C'nian fleet, they are already engaged and their submarines appear to be going suicidal. Target priority submarines going for the Ezaltian fleet and then engage C'nian heavy shipping."

"Understood, Communications Officer, relay that to the other three, and have the sonar ops give us a firing solution."

"Firing solution is available, permission to engage?"

"Let them have it!"

Naashan aircraft, a mixture of F-22 Raptors and F-14 Tomcats begin to join the aerial engagement, adding their own AMRAAM's to the fray.

Eight Ticonderoga Class Missile Cruisers begin a withering barrage on the C'nian fleet while the Pride of Naasha, a Dauntless Class Heavy Battleship adds her own mighty guns to the attack.

The three leading Naashan Seawolf subs engage the ramming C'nian submarines with torpedos. The one that had previously run under the Clandonian fleet arrives to late to assist and instead concentrates it's own torpedo fire on the C'nian fleet, targeting larger vessels where possible.

The wing of ten EB-180 Stargazer stealth bombers that were assigned to patrol the Surdunni coast are ordered to engage the enemy shipping from high altitude as they retreat. They should be able to avoid enemy conventional and missile fire from the ships as they do so, but will still be susceptible to air to air attack.

Reinforcements across Naasha are put on standby.
