A popular bishop is found mutilated inside the Cathedral of St.Patrick in New York City. Mysterious writing is drawn on the wall in blood. A language long since forgotten. Several days later another minister is found dead in Trinity Church grave yard. The city is in turmoil as a mysterious killer is targeting religious figures throughout the city. Religious leaders are frantic to discover the truth behind these killings as a horrified public fearful of their own deaths, shun from returning to services. The police race against time before another soul is lost to this mysterious killer. As the authorities dig deeper, they uncover something more shocking than anyone could've ever realized. It will lead them down a road of lies, corruption, and deceit which passes through even the halls of the church. But each of the victims had a secret. Will the police stop this killer as people's faiths are put to the ultimate test as a killer begins his age old vendetta against God.

History: Amherst grew up in an Irish neighborhood in Boston. There, he lived a rough life in a poor family; however, he worked hard to make something out of his life. In high school he was on the football team and studied diligently. In college, he earned a degree in criminal investigations, he was the first in his family to go to college. He always desired to be a police officer, like his father. So, after graduating the academy he had a promising career ahead of him until one fateful night that changed his life forever. After that night his life spiraled downwards, his wife divorced him and remarried, taking their young daughter. Amherst suffered from depression and alcoholism. Three years ago he tried to commit suicide but the round in the chamber was a dud and misfired. This altered his life once again and he's been on the slow and painful road to recovery. He started his own private investigations company which became a descent success. Deep down inside he's a good man but a tortured one at that. His past demons are numerous and omnipresent as he struggles to redemn himself.

Basically, there's a mysterious killer targeting certain religious leaders throughout the city. The authorities struggle to comprehend exactly what's going on and are seemingly incapable of capturing him. The church in New York City hires a private investigator to conduct a well...private investigation, seperate of the authorities. The church is hiding something and they don't want the authorities to know what it is they're hiding...and it's a secret which could destroy the church.

I think it sounds a bit too much like The Davinci Code for my liking...

It's not really like the DaVinci Code. I don't want to give away too much. Several religious figures are murdered, but each of them had a dark secret. The killer is...something else. It's not going to be a happy rp but a darker one.

There's no Harvard symbologists to be found here. Just gruesome murders, corrupt religious figures, a mysterious and unusual killer, and a few other twists. There ain't no quest for the Grail or a hunt to save Pope's-to-be or anything like that. It's a crime drama with a supernatural twist.

Good question... Probably it just sounds too complicated to really work ...

The sad thing is many people want a run around and soot 'em up kind of rp. I'm not interested in those, for the most part. This one is more about plot, back stories, and dialogue between characters.
