Official statement
by the personnel of the Corriere del San Adriano
Greetings, foreign readers.
You've never heard of us. That's quite all right. We have an average monthly readership of fewer than 500, so it would be startling if you were already amongst our readers.
But we'd like to change that.
What is the Corriere del San Adriano?
The Corriere is a small, monthly newspaper produced in the equally small village-nation of San Adriano. It is sold for just 6SL (c.0.26€), and looks back at the month's news in San Adriano and the rest of the world. It comes complete with an editorial and letters to the editors.
For more information, see here (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Corriere_del_San_Adriano).
Where the heck is San Adriano?
A small village nestled in Uhuh-Topia, San Adriano has a population of just over 400 people, and is one of the tiniest sovereign countries in the world. It is a constitutional monarchy with a democratically elected Parliament. The Corriere is the only news media produced by our small country, and is therefore very proud to be "il giornale migliore dal San Adriano" - the best newspaper from San Adriano!
You can admire satellite images of our little country here (http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/8046/testsa51yg5.jpg), here (http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/9501/testsa5b1xe8.jpg), here (http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/2411/testsa5c1pw9.jpg) and here (http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/391/testsa5d1kj5.jpg).
So what are we offering you?
Quite simply, the opportunity to make a bit of money... while we gain the opportunity to attract new readers.
We propose that, if you are willing to print and distribute the Corriere del San Adriano in your country (translated into English or into your national language if need be), you may keep the overwhelming majority of the profits, while we will be content with a token percentage.
Quite frankly, we are not expecting the Corriere to be a resounding success abroad. But hey, it's a global market, so it's worth a shot.
Sincerely,
The staff of the Corriere
