Jenrak strips down military.

Jenrak
12-01-2007, 04:05
Later today, newly crowned Holy Emperor Heruun declared that he would make away with Jenrak's armies. In this controversial move by the religious department and silver crown, he had the following statement;

"Jenrak is at a time of prosperity, and I believe that our prosperity and our fantastic wealth could be increased substantially if we were to continue our course with extra funds diverted from our military. There is just no more need for a military in this modern day and age, and we as Jenrakians believe peace should be paramount to our people as a whole."

In this swift change, the Temsplace bases in southern Krejeistan, the Sadicistra fortresses in Haasdra and the Siren empires in Sanduras and Ssessloth have begun dismantling their respective centers of strength. Larger waves of sciences and technological advancements were researched, as tanks were being placed off into warehouses and infantry laid off from their works to other centers, such as social services and public transports. Several Sadicistra Generals, former criminals under Criminal and Soldier Repute Law, have been placed back to jail to serve their sentences.

Terr'vk Krazzant, Sadicistra commander for 8 years, now serving the rest of his 125 year sentence, speaks, "This is preposterous! Heruun cannot take away our livelihood. We are born warriors, and we have followed tradition for a long time! We cannot just sell our pride away."

Meanwhile, outward city states have been notified and are dismantling their respective militaries to follow Heruun's True Peace law.

On a second occasion, Jenrak will also be announcing the opening of alliances to other nations.

The Imperial Empire of Demon 666 would like to know more of Jenrak and the following questions before it proposes an idea of an alliance:
1. Does Jenrak follow a capitalist economy, or does it follow the order of socialists and Communists worldwide
2. Is Jenrak an elected monarchy?
3. What does Jenrak think of the Muslim problem? (OOC: If you don't know, Demon 666 has a long history of war against Muslims)
4. What are Jenrak's policies towards countries such as The Blackhelm Confederacy and Hataria?

1. Jenrak is a heavily capitalist economy, and possibly one of the largest (if not largest) corporate hives in the world.

2. No.

3. Jenrak has no negative views on muslims, being that they never harmed us.

4. Idiots, in the kindest sense.

That hurts.

Anyway, would you happen to be selling any of these military supplies?

OOC: Sorry about that, new leader and all, need to keep in context. Plus I'm new to this game. My friend (old Jenrak) gave me the account so I'm doing what I can.

IC:

Of course. What are you looking for, though?

...You aren't going through Dephire syndrome are you?

Well, that depends, what do you have in the way of heavy tanks, dreadnoughts and fighters.

Kesshite

Havez sipped hot, bitter xhocolate from an earthenware mug as he rustled through the stack of papers. Every morning, as the sun rose, the minister could be found lounging at his desk, reading the dozens of reports beginning to trickle from across the globe. After centuries of isolation, Kesshite was ignorant of world politics and Havez had taken it as a sacred duty to gather whatever information he could.

"Ah, what’s this?" he said, his eyes scanning a hastily written note with several newpaper clippings paper clipped to it.

"Sir?" his assistant and bodyguard replied promptly. He stood at attention behind Havez' right soldier. His broad, muscular chest stretching the delicate silver chainmail of a palace guard and a long, thin blade was strapped to this side.

"A nation called Jenrak is dismantling its army. The quote from their leader is," here Havez paused, adjusting his tone to mimic a younger man making a great proclamation, " 'There is just no more need for a military in this modern day and age, and we as Jenrakians believe peace should be paramount to our people as a whole.' -- What do you think of that?"

Rayyat raised his eyebrows. A warrior since birth, he had been trained to desire only to serve well and fight bravely. He grinned, a flash of write teeth that broke the usual stony mask of his dark face. Though Havez could not see it, he could hear it in Rayyat's voice, "I think that if that is the case, I have no interest in the modern age."

Havez chuckled and slapped his knee, "Spoken like a true soldier. But you are still young. A bad peace is better than a good war in my book." He sniffed then sipped more of his bitter drink, careful not to let the liquid touch his trimmed and oiled beard, "Rumors are, the prince may be selling off those tanks and guns. I am certain he thinks they'll be used to pave roads and hunt deer instead of being in one of those wars he supposedly opposes. Typical."

"Still," Havez continued, "we must support such a "noble" act. We'll send out a letter praising Holy Emperor Heruun's progressive decision and wishing the people of Jenrak well as they set their new course."
The Jade Star

The Republic of the Jade Star is currently interested in any and all military hardware to be had at a reasonable price. Our struggle with the Humanist forces has been somewhat bogged down by a lack of armour and arms.

In order of priority:

1. Naval vessels and equipment. Submarines preferable.

2. Small arms, preferably capable of taking Soviet ammunition (5.45 and 7.62 Soviet rounds)

3. Anti-armour/material weapons, including large calibur sniper weapons.

4. Armoured vehicles, especially light tanks and amphibious vehicles. Main battle tanks are welcome, but we do not require many.

5. 'Special operations' equipment, EX: Explosives, night vision scopes, and so forth.

6. Aircraft, especially helicopters and ASW aircraft. Anti-ship weapons to equip these with.

Our defensive budget is somewhat limited due to our current situation, but we can provide up to ~$30,000,000,000 (USD equivalent) in cash, as well as various precious metals, gems and other resources.

As there is currently a blockade around our nation we will providing shipping if Jenrak does not wish to risk the venture.

In regards to naval vessels, we have 8 superdreadnaughts that are being sold off. I still have to get an estimate on the prices.

As we are upgrading our military forces, the Kingdom of Altanar would also be interested in any surplus equipment you are selling. We are most interested in air and land units, although naval units are welcome also. If you can provide us a list, we would be more than happy to submit a bid.

Nevertheless, good luck.

Superdreadnaughts? Arent those going to be slightly out of our price range? The Republic might have issues with simply maintaining one.
But, if you are willing to part with one for a price within our budget I see no issue with considering it.

Other than that, do you have any fast attack craft or submarines you are willing to part with?

Our land military consists of Vizith Repeaters - semi-gattling type fire of repeating artillery, one of the strongest fielded in the world. A breed of technology from around the world, the repeater is a sure weapon of destruction on the battlefield. Very few artillery can match its destructive level.

We have enough influence within the sphere of the world to make sure that such an event does not occur. We believe that our civilization can focus more on the creation of strengths in beliefs and wealth as we progress without need for a military to have us push around.

We have six Lurker classes, all for reconnaissance and frontal attack. All are submarine classes, as well as we are selling our battleships and regular dreadnoughts. Our carriers will be lowered from a count of 26 to 8, to simply patrol waters against pirates. Therefore, we are selling 18 aircraft carriers, all perfect condition (save one).
