History
The Creation and the Early Years
In the eleventh century, a radical Jewish tribe in Palestine rebelled against the Moslem lord. They waged guerilla war on the Moslem 'to liberate Jews and the Holy Land.' Cities after cities fell to the Jews as more people joined the radical movement. Soon the Jews drove the Moslem out of Palestine and renamed it 'Israel'. The Israelites would face many wars in the years to come.
By the fourtheen century, the Israelites managed to annex Egypt and Cyprus and brought both peoples under their rule.
Age of Imperialism
At the start of the sixteenth century, the Israelites had explored nearly the whole world and established hundreds of trading settlements. Somalia was brought under the rule of the Empire by Lieutenant-General David Cohen of the Imperial Navy. Cohen and his Imperial Marines landed in the north west and marched across Somalia. Any local tribes that tried to oppose were crushed and their people put to the sword.
Cohen's onslaught ended with few casualties on the Isralite forces and the Somali tribes completely 'suppressed'.
Secular and Democratic Reforms
In 1887, Emperor Abraham I promised his people to turn the Empire of Israel into a 'Secular and Democratic state'. The statement was largely welcomed among the Egyptians, Cypriots, Somalis and other minorities. In 1900, the first election was held in Israel, the 'non-Israelites' were given equal rights as the Jews and Judaism was no longer the state religion. Abraham I was given the title of Abraham the Great. However, the Emperor was short lived. On July 7 1992 Abraham was assassinated by a radical Jewish group.
Abraham the Great's reform gave birth to many able Israelites and better relationship between the Empire's Arab neighbour.
World War I
The Empire of Israel remained neutral during the first years of World War I. Israel declared war on Ansuria on August 14 1916 when a trading settlement was attacked by Ansurian forces. Two divisions of Israeli Marines, 1 Imperial Dragoon Regiment, 1 Armour Division and larg number of planes were sent to help the Allied forces paved their way into south Ansuria.
