Indian Democratic Federation (IDF)

Population = 350,000,000

Politics The full name of IDF is misleading at best. India was once a democratic nation, but it is currently ruled by a dictator named Khan Noonien Singh.

He is an authoritarian ruler who rules with an iron fist. The only freedoms he allows are economic. His goals are to make India a true world power. He may just be aggressive enough to invade nations in order to reach his goals and provide resources for the large Indian population.

Khan rose to power in 1928 following the rebellion against British rule in India.

Economy

The economy of India is currently adapting. Khan has pushed through initiatives to industrialize India and make it a true power during the duration of the 20th century.

Natural resources include coal, iron ore, natural gas, diamonds, chromite, petroleum, limestone, titanium ore, mica, bauxite, and thorium.

Armed Forces

Due to the fact that India as an independent nation is relatively young, its military isn't very developed. Khan has stated that he desires turning India into a naval power. In order to attain this dream, he has build massive shipyards across the country. Using steal made in India, he hopes to one day possess a large fleet to sail the world's seas.

The Air Force is relatively weak possessing only a few bombers and some F-2 Buffalo fighters.

A large portion of India's budget is being diverted to scientific research. While much of the science will benefit civilian sectors of India, it is generally geared towards military research and development. It has been said that Indian scientists have theorized the use of a jet propulsion system for aircraft.
