Welcome to the Aunesian Cheese Company! - Your one-stop shop for all things cheesey

History
Established since 1901, the Aunesian Cheese Company is widely acclaimed as the foremost producer of fine cheese in the Southern Pacific Ocean. Cheese production began to take off in the Aunesian Archipelago as a result of the Great Goat Surplus of 1899 - a surplus that occured due to the unusual situation the settlers found themselves in, where they were outnumbered 3:1 by their farmyard goats as a result of the Plague outbreak the year before, which decimated the human population. Loathe to waste the milk produced, the more entrepreneurial members of the community began to produce various forms of cheese.

In 1901, a group of farmers banded together to encorporate themselves as the Aunesian Cheese Company - with the aim of dominating the Aunesian market for cheese by bringing together their collective resources under a unified brand. Cows' Milk was originally frowned upon by the founders of the company until the arrival of a herd of Fresian cows in 1906. Sensing an oppurtunity to diversify their business, the company purchased the herd, which today produce their famed Fromaĝo Bovo cheese.

The company continued to grow for the next century, ensuring its place as THE cheese producers on the Islands. Once the Aunesian Grand Duchy began trading with the outside world, in early 2007, the cheese export industry became key to the success of the Aunesian Economy, and now recieves significant government support - gifts of cheese are a common diplomatic dealbreaker. The tradition of gifting foreign diplomats Aunesian cheese has spread to the whole of the Sovereign Kingdom of Bruxella since the Aunesian Archipelago was incorporated into the Bruxellan Overseas Territory of Aunesia.

Dear Sir,

In response to your recent communications regarding the safety of cheese products from the Aunesian Cheese Company, I would first like to thank you for bringing to my attention this issue, and for providing me with a copy of the Alfegos Cheese Enforcement Agency Classification sheet. Having reviewed recent laboratory test results and evaluated the applicable Alfegos legislation, we are pleased to provide the following classifications for all Aunesian products.

CLASS C
Fromaĝo Bovo (http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e159/new-wessex/cheese3.jpg)

CLASS B
Fromaĝo Flavamalmola (http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e159/new-wessex/cheese1.jpg)

CLASS A
Fromaĝo Flavamalmola (http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e159/new-wessex/Cheese_market_Basel.jpg)

I hope this clarifies the legality of importing Aunesian cheese into the People's Nation.

Yours sincerely,

Jack Mason
