The purpose of all war is peace.
Saint Augustine, 354-430

The damp, sweltering jungle atmosphere hung oppressively over the entire operation. Defoliant weapons purged the landscape as the Marines advanced, shredding plant and animal life to decomposite sludge within seconds of application.
Through steaming, sucking slime, the men of the Republic Marine Corps marched with all the dignity that mud-soaked, frag-weary troops could muster. Their khaki-patterned combats and armour plates were slick with brown residue and carbon dust, their joints clogged with liquified organic matter. Their weapons were clean, kept so as only a professional infantryman can.
The cloudless turquoise sky broke, a thin sliver of white cascading through the atmosphere as the squad's leader called a halt, his eyes tracking the descent from behind a faceless armoured mask. Ozone burned as the object fell, smoke and matter streaming behind it in a particle trail a hundred klicks long. Abruptly, the burning corona disappeared, revealing it's deadly secret.
A starship. Foreign.
Long, sleek and dark as pitch, the ship angled itself for landing. It disappeared below the treeline as the squad leader's hand shot to his comm-bead.
"<Kilo Base,>" he said, his voice deep and his accent prominent, "<this is Delta Team, Uniform-Foxtrot sighted at grid point Zero-Eight-One, Niner-Five-Niner. Radio silence, over.>"
The warning given, he turned to face his squad. Few of them he'd known long. For some, this was their first assignment as Republic Marines and the ultimate test of their training. For others, it would be their death.
"<Staggered column of advance,>" he ordered, "<Maka, you're on point. Let's see what kind of fierfek we're walking into...>"

OOC: This world, though I loathe to say it, is inhabited by Digimon.
Yes. Digimon.
Currently stationed on S050663*04 are the sixty-five men of No.4 Century (Combat Engineers), 5th Legion, Republic Marine Corps. Armed with Defoliant X09, they have nearly completed establishing the Republic's foothold on S050663*04. Kilo Base contains sleeping units for the garrison, a concealed orbital shuttle and vehicle hangar, an interplanetary communications unit, and a power generator.
Four Century are engaged in beating back the undergrowth with Defoliant X09 loaded into flame projectors. X09 is a powerful anti-biomatter compound. Don't get it on your skin, or it'll burn down to the bone. Reactive life is approximately one minute from the initial reaction, so watch your feet when that stuff's about.
My objectives are to exterminate the indigenous lifeforms (Little orange English-speaking dinosaurs.), and make the planet suitable for habitation. I'll be reinforcing once the foothold has been secured.
Here's the numbers for my deployment:
1 Centurion
2 Optios
10 Decurions
38 Marine Engineers
10 Marine Engineers w/Merr-Sonn Munitions CR-24 flame projector
2 Drivers w/Rulan Industries M55 Armoured Assault Bridges

Away from the eyes of the gaxlaxy, away from corruption and away from other in the galactic body of stars, planets and people. There exsists and empire of humans-esqe creatures and walking behemothes, known as the Tarkand, warriors of unprescedent skill and honor.... "But how did I stumble so far from home?"
The ship began it last approch, hitting trees and tillting, it came down with a smack, taking trees with it, taking any hope of this being a dream, a nightmare anything but what it was.
And there it was, dirty and smoking, sitting in a newly formed clearing. A pod.
*hissss* as the cockpit opened, he arose, a warrior (http://img475.imageshack.us/img475/5492/tarkanwarriorzb3.jpg) away from his post. Removing his upper red officers uniform, leaving only his pants, with the hole in the back for his fearsome tail, he stood almost 7'11" and was three hundred pounds of muscle and agility. He was a humble creature, though on normal occasions, but he was not home.
He looked back into his pod, and found his service pistol (http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/6034/sfdescentblasterko3.jpg) and put it on his belt, along with his Kitar dagger. As for food he would have a scavange. He left his coat on the ground, took a small device from the craft and put it folded on his belt, and hid some heavier items under some dirt and foilage, making sure to not make them obvious. And before he could stop and plan....
*crack* his eyes changed form a calm blue to a worried yellow and he ran and his in a tree, but not before setting a explosive divice on his pod under the chair, the secrets of his people must not be released, he must get of of here and get home....or die to pervent his homes destruction.

The Marines slammed into cover as the detonation roared, sending flocks of alien birds flying in terror. Weapons were already raised, their black muzzles focused on designated squad fire-zones. Ten seconds passed with barely a movement from the jungle or the hidden men.
The Decurion tapped his commbead twice, signalling the all-clear. Cautiously, their weapons still braced, the squad got to their feet. He signalled the advance with his left hand, the right still holding his C60 carbine to his cheek in an iron grip.
The squad spread into a fighting line, their weapons ready and their footfalls silent as they pressed on.
---
The trees were scorched black, both by the landing and subsequent explosion. The vessel had been small, but was now utterly unrecogniseable. The Marines had secured the area, and now three of the five-man squad patrolled the edges of the clearing. The Decurion knelt by the smoking wreckage of the alien ship, his left arm holding his C60 to his thigh and his right hand reaching to the ground. Beside him, the squad's flamer technician stood with his weapon off.
"<You got anything, Deco?>" asked the tech.
The Decurion took his hand from the ground and lifted his goggles away from his eyes. The skin of his face was tanned, and an old scar running from the bridge of his nose to his right ear betrayed the violent life of a professional soldier.
"<Nothing this close to the blast,>" he said, "<I'll need to search away from the ship.>"
He stood and headed for the treeline, the flame tech following.

<Abord the U.O.S. Fakna, 1 day before touch down on planet.>
The accident began with the exit from superspace, a miscalculation caused an early exit near a electrical storm, while the EM shield on his ship was first class, being in the middle of the storm...of this size, the EM and gravitational fields were too much and the ship began to rip apart. It was a miracle that they cleared it, with that escape pods jettisoned and homming divices were activated for a pickup from a other ship. The Warrior was the last off, and as soon as the pod exited, the ship's fusion reactor exploded taking the ship to non-exsistance with it. The shook wave and debrie caused the pod to be launchedin he other direction....
and now he was here...he kept running, until he found a large tree and climbed into the thick barches and leaves, catching his breath, he must have cleared a mile from them, his body very bruised and bloodied.
He looked at the material in his hand, all the things needed to set up a becon, to avoid detection he will use ancient onosian language, but the signal would attract attention, he had to work quickly. He took some leaves of the tree and at, it tasted okay, and he continued to eat, his stomachs taking command.
He turned away, jumped form the tree and walked for the plateau he spoted over away during his desent. He would have to walk in the dark...

Battle was the montra of the dark biomech. the smell of death and fear only drove them deeper into battle so that their maddness could be quinched. But to no avial. so they continue to search the casmos, looking, hoping that battle finds them, or they find it. Their metal selves, living and artifical all at the same time. And the unlucky victims not only have to face death if they lose, but the fact that they will to become what they fought. Their fleet numerous, their numbers great, their prime directive strong.....
" Sir, We have detected signs of battle approx. 3 Darklins from our current place!" announced the medium range sensor operator with his mono-tone cyborg voice.
His commander, bold and devestating was the one and only Dark commander himself, pilot of dark Gunther, a dreaded class 10 dark biomech fury. He had long since been taken hold by the darkness but he went willingly and his reward was his free will.
" Exellent, set our course now. I want to integrate them as soon as possible." he spoke with a darkened but still human voice. The fleet behind him followed his command ships movement and began its move. Sniper ships, missile ships, cover-all shield ships, all huddled around the command ship like a cacuhoon. Witha small time to pass the ships began to emmit giant bolts of dimensional energy and ripped a whole in time itself and folded into the whole. Onlt to appear over the planet that was soon to feel the wrath of hell.
The Helmsmen nodded and set the course.

A small fleet of three ships floated along in to the system, they're bodies shimmering and gleaming in the light of the star as there bodies floated ominously and gently in to the system, the ships engines pushed them along with dull blue and white streams of particles, they moved quickly, it was merely a scouting party but with the fire power these three ships had it looked like a raiding party , the fleet had started to slow as it made its way toward the fourth planet. The bridge was in silence , officer attended to there holographic consoles , pressing buttons over and over, there blue red and black uniforms glimmering slightly in the mundane dull light of the bridge, the commander stood up and looked around, he was a strong man, built well fair but tough, his black hair was cut short and his tan skin gleamed in the light. He stood on the bridge his eyes focusing out of the holographic view port panning the great lifeless darkness of space with awe as he always has, he sighed his chest slightly moving down as he let out a breath of air.
Suddenly one of the sensor officers stood up he blinked and looked up at the commander his hands on the console, he started to speak in an urgent voice. “Sir! We're detecting a fleet entering over the planet, they don't look friendly, we're also detecting forces on the planet and weapons fire to...”
the commander stood up he knew why the scouting group was here his officers did not, he gritted his teeth, and slammed a hand on his command chair, he sighed starting to give out orders quickly.
“I Want all ships to get in between that planet and that fleet, send a message to CoD command telling them we have hostiles, shields up! General quarters!”
suddenly the fleet rang in to action, the ships engines revved up like never before, the ships flew towards the planet at amazing speed wedging themselves in between the odd fleet that was there and the planet , they slowed there gleaming ominous large metal bodies floating gently over the clear blue planet. The commander stood up his eyes panning the fleet, he noticed out of the corner of his eye a message was already sent to CoD command for re enforcements. He smiled a little.... he looked to his communications officer and nodded saying, “open a frequency to all forces on planet and in orbit” his voice went deep and commanding.
“This is the UCS San Fransisco and its escorts, you are hereby ordered by the United CoDominium of The Federal Union to cease and deist all activities in this area, we have hereby ordered an extension of our borders to encompass this system and the surrounding space , and since you are in this area, you are in violation of federal space and assets, we demand you cease and desist all hostilities with in this area immediately, if you do not the United CoDominium shall engage in hostile counter action with your ships and troops on the ground.” The commanders was one of total confidence professionalism and deep commanding, the fleet at liberty station had already gotten the message and began to mobilize, it would take time for them to get there but the scouting party hoped to hold out, and at least stall them. The ships ominously glided over the world in a defensive formation, floating along.
The commander stood up adjusted his uniform slightly and sniped a view to his tactical officer saying “target those ships all weapons banks missile banks and spike driver cannons charge and ready, all auxiliary power to shields and weapons! All fighters prepare to lunch...” suddenly weapons came on line power was shifted to shields, fighters began to ready themselves for launch, power spikes were detected from the ships, targeting Emmey vessels.

Space was vast and much of it was seemingly empty, devoid of anything but a few atoms of this and that. Sometimes it could be rather crowded. The Einhander class Gun destroyer DCN Merciful Blow had been on extended patrol and survey in this sector, staking out any potential claims of precious minerals or suitable planets for colonisation. Of course finding lost or new technology and strange fauna and flora were also on the agenda. So when long range scanners detected the presence of water and oxygen in a rather unremarkable system, not more then one hundred light years from their present position, Captain Helmut Morgenblum ordered his knights to check the system out.
The Einhander Gun destroyer exitted the Aether at the edge of the system, in time to hear the Fedral union proclamations as well as to notice the slight amount of activity on the planet they were looking for. Something was going on down there, though the DEM sensors couldnt even begin to figure it out from the ranges they were at, they were able to pick up signs of intelligent life. The Captain decided to press on, his crew unquestioningly following his orders despite the risk of international incident with an ally. Of course that didnt really matter, they were knights, they did as they wished.
++++
In the main barracks for the platoon of Divine celestial cavaliers, there was a slight bustle of activity. The Elite of the Elite special forces and storm troopers of the Tannelornian knighthood, the Divine Celestial Cavaliers had been cooped up aboard ship for months. Tannelornian ships were incredibly dense, and though they were large, they had small crews..and with them rather spartan crew accomodations. Needless to say the DCC aboard ship were rather bored. The nano enhanced warriors had been raised from birth to take on anything an enemy force could throw at them, to perform daring strikes and guerilla raids, to fight insurgency style battles and win against many times their number. Today would make this the one hundred and twenty sixth day aboard ship. Cannabis and sparring in the main gymnasium, which was really too small for the DCC to fully practice their talents were not enough to remove the intense boredom from the extended eight month survey mission.
Of course the scientists were having the time of their lives. Whenn the Captain sent word down to Knight-Captain Teral Fendahir of the discovery and the need for a landing party, the Cavaliers jumped at the chance to be chosen. However Knight-Captain Fendahir had other plans. The DCC would accompany him down to the planet, where the youth's would proceed on their first mission, an exploration and survey of an unknown planet, along with the most experienced Knight-Sargeants under his command.
The rest of the Cavaliers would get to stretch their legs, and wait patiently to see if the younglings needed any help. Most of the young ones were sixteen to eighteen, to a baseline human that would be twelve to fifteen. Twelve in all were aboard ship, as it has always been tradition to allow those who have had the honour of the Nova pancraea placed inside their bodies to accompany the experienced cavaliers in to battle. To learn from their experience and build their own. The life of a Divine Celestial Cavalier was hard, but the rewards were great. In the Republic the Knights were the closest things to pop celebrities, and in the Prefecture they were nearly reviled, all except the DCC of course. Once every twenty five years the men and women of the DCC went throughout Tannelorn, testing the youngest to see if they carried the old blood, if they were capable of being a Cavalier.
They were knights, mystics and those who wielded the might of the Aether against the enemies of Tannelorn. They were exquisitely well armed and trained, however those that would be doing the mission were in the majority about thirteen years of age. The young ones often did not find time for training in the heavier DCC weaponry, and would rely on their sword play, rifle work, their precognitive ability and their modest telekenisis.
Of course they werent technically supposed to be fighting, but likely they would find some form of megafauna and choose to fight it, encouraged by their sergeants.
Quickly the cavaliers boarded their assault transports, escorted down to the planet quickly and efficiently by Morgenraete III high maneuver frames.
Three of the transports landed in one area, with a Squadron of morgenraetes landing with them to set up a forward base, the final transport headed off towards the sources of the signals, finally landing about fourty kilometers away from the source. Stealth systems were only so effective, it was best not to push it.
Slowly the squad disembarked, prepared for combat. They moved in disciplined firing stances, covering each other as they moved out in to the forest beyond. The majority of the plated power armoured squad were around five foot eight, some were around five foot two. The younglings were about to start on their first mission...strange noises and movement in the undergrowth did little to frighten them. They continued on towards the sources of the civilised signals, wishing only to prove themselves as worthy Divine Celestial cavaliers.

The comm crackled. Something had been found. The Decurion made his way to the Marine who had signalled him.
"<What do you have, Maka?>" he asked.
The Marine pointed to the ground. The earth had been disturbed, in places violently, by a creature with large, splayed clawed feet. The individual indentations were almost two metres apart. "<Tracks, Deco>"
"<Stomm...>" muttered the Decurion, his eyes narrowing. "<The pace on this thing. It must have been travelling at almost thirty klicks.>"
He activated his commbead, calling for the attention of the last two squad members.
"<Jarran, Aisha,>" he said, "<form up on me, we've found prints. Could be Trandoshan, so keep your eyes peeled and your weapons ready.>"
The two Marines rejoined the squad, and they moved on again. Maka led the way, his keen eyes scanning for the creature's tracks.

"<Prep for the worst,>" he ordered. "<Double patrols. I don't want us caught in camp.>"

"<Aye, Mohandai-alor.>"

With night fast approching, the warrior quickend his pace somewhat, dodging trees and vines. He was not alone.
With a thunderous crash of trees and a roar, a hungry enemy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DarkTyrannomon) faced with the warrior. The creature hurled his tail at the warrior, launching him against a tree. The warrior got up and roared back (like a silverback gorilla), put his things near the tree and took out his sidearm and dagger, he beat his chest at the creature and chanted a warriors prayer. "Ukbe Trai, Kis'ta beroque, Dentu gati gull nal, Kitar bost, KITAR BOST!" With that he charged the creature, dogging a tail and a claw, jumping on the creature and stabing him repeatedly. The creature roared with pain and anger. The warriors eyes were now a furious red.
The Creature got ahold and flung the warrior through a tree. Using his tail, the warrior grabed onto a branch and like rope, swung himself up on to a tree. The creature flung his tail again, The warrior jumped toward the creature, landing behinded it with a roll. Loosing his balance and consentration for a moment form the smack against the trees.
The Hunger drove the creature mad and he charged.
The warrior aimed the middle of his head...."You are worthy for a quick death, thank you for the battle." With that he fired a ball of plasma, whiched burned a hole and fired the brain.
The warrior fell to his knees in hunger and pain, but he must continue, he grabed his things from the tree and as he passed the creature, took its largest tooth as a prize. He patted the creature on its nose and one again thanked him. He paced away, the smell and sound would attracted the unkown.

Arcadian Military Convoy- Delta 12
High orbit over the planet Cleveland
"Is the fleet assembled?"
"Yes Admiral, eight frigates, six medium transports, and of course the escort carrier."
Admiral Dala looked at the display, which currently gave her an outside view of the ship. Eight frigates is not allot of firepower, but the mando's did say little resistance is expected she thought. This is a transport convoy after all. Ever sense the mando's put out a request to through the republic Arcadian engineers had been scrambling to load Durasteel, Permacrete, Prefabricated shelters, and everything else needed to construct a permanent settlement on the ships. She hoped it was all they would need.
The Captain fidgeted and she was reminded of his presence.
"Very well, send a message to the mando's that we are making way and then take the fleet into slip space"

Message from liberty base: to Coruscant
Subject: requesting an Inquisitor
It is with the utmost respect that the United CoDominium of The Federal Union request that an imperial Inquisitor be sent to a location marked in this message , events have arisen with certain nations that dispute the area we have claimed , we extended our borders to encompass the planet and they have utterly refused, to leave, it is a violation of our sovereign rights and a violation of imperial territory, therefore we request arbitration in this matter
Unified Sith
09-01-2007, 00:58
Grand Moff Whillhuff Tarkin looked up from his various data pads to find Inquisitor Malorum concealed in the darkness. "You Sith really do enjoy the melodramatic." He said with a contemptuous frown. "Tell me, what orders from the emperor?" Tarkin looked back to his desk and began reading another datapad. Inquisitors rarely visited him, they were the personal hounds of the emperor, force sensitives who could commune with the throne at will, which made them considerably dangerous.
"We are needed to deal with an incursion in Imperial territory. We have been warned by the Unionists that the Republic remnant are attempting to invade an outlying settlement. We are instructed to proceed immediately to the settlement and begin, discourse" His lips seethed the last word, lamenting over the unnatural implications. "The entire battlegroup is too be dispatched immediately Tarkin, see that we arrive as soon as possible." Malorum retreated into the shadows while the admiral continued to read the daily dispatches, unconcerned with the sorcery of a malcontent.
"I could kill him master." Tarkins Nohgri guard aired from concealment. "So much can go so wrong on a vessel of this size."
"Perhaps." The Moff mused. "But for now, we must deal with this alien threat. Inform captain Netter that the fleet has my permission to proceed."
DG114 (Digimon System) - Almost One Day Later
Multiple hyperspace reversions would illuminate the EM spectrum of the system as the mighty Super Star Destroyer Executor and her escort fleet ploughed forth into real space. Imperial Star Destroyers, frigates, cruisers and Victories all swarmed the lone, nameless planet in the name of principle. "Well what do we have." Tarkin looked towards Commscan questioningly. Almost immediately Union ships appeared upon the tactical map, along with several unidentified IFF's, summarily labelled as Republic vessels.
"Admiral, Inquisitor Malorum is demanding to make a transmission." The Executors captain paused almost fearfully.
"Who am I to stand in the way of the emperors will."
"Republic forces, I am Grand Inquisitor Malorum, representative of his immortal majesty and Imperial emperor Palpatine. You shall hereby cease all offensive actions and enter into dialogue with the Empire. You have fifteen minutes to dispatch an emissary to these co-ordinates of my command ship Co-ordinates Uploaded."

"..the Empire? There?"
"Yes, Consul. It's a relatively worthless world, but.. on the matter of principle, I think it is important that we do not lose face in front of the Empire. Not to the point of opening fire, of course. But perhaps the Ansu could use some... reinforcements?"
"Of course, Senator. That much is obvious. I will lead the Woundweaver there, together with a small contigent of Loriiean capital ships. Arrange the Senate in my absence. Prepare a taskforce. If the Empire decides to turn to weapons, we must also be able to do so."
Callis smiled, for the first time in months. Oh, it was a flimsy excuse, he knew, getting away from the mountains of Consular work, the administration to be done, to go 'gallivanting' off to help in battle. But he had been a warrior, and a general, long before he had been a Consul.
It took only three hours to transit to the Woundweaver, the flagship of the admittedly small Private Legion of Loriiea. The largest ship in the navy, she served as a bastion of firepower for the entire Legion - as well as a floating fortress, factory, and capital ship, all in one. Twelve Loriiean cruisers accompanied it, and, lastly, fourteen frigates. Not a formidable fleet, but enough to back up their words - the information he had received had indicated an Imperial fleet of quite some size.
He smiled. "Well, then. Prepare for hyperspace transit. I would hardly care to leave our poor Ansu friends down there all alone..."
With that, the fleet was gone. It would be perhaps three, or four hours until they reached the area - and, of course, by then, the negotiations would either be finished, or the Republic would be calling for reinforcements. In the first scenario, he would be committing quite the rude mistake, as such things went among nations.
However, to fail in the first was minor - to fail in the second would be disastrous. And besides, it got him away from his desk - and onto the bridge of a starship. He certainly wasn't complaining.

The dark commander walked to the front of the cridge as hw watched the shield and weapons on the three ships activated. His mechanical body gave no word of itself as he swifty moved to his command chair, battle thrilled him, it was his life blood. The Dark commander looked of to the weapons officer and nodded. Without word being spoken they knew what he wanted. The shield ships came into position in front of the fleet and activated their shields. Massive view disrupting shields began to engulf the whole fleet and form a massive protective buibble around itself. The sniper ships, or ships outfitted with turret after turret of massive Sniper cannons moved just behind the shield ships and took aim. The comman ship which contained the worst weapon stayed to the rear and gave orders.
The dark commander gave his reply:
" This is Dark fleet commander Horizon- I hereby declare that you and you fleet will become assimilated into our forces. Your government if it interfers from this point will suffer the same fate. "
The comm link closed and The Sniper ships opened fire. Made to punch through a ships hull with its sheer mass being its shell is created from White darwfs, it was also made to ignore shields. Fired at sub light speed, its traveled at astonishing speeds, traveling like a neddle that wieghted the wieght of a small planet, it was almost unavoidable because the gravity would pull you into its path. It was a destructive weapon. And soon 10 shells would make contact

The scouting group suffered damage from the initial strike, one frigate maneuvered in front of the fleet after taking a hit its shields went down after the shells impacted on it, the ships was torn to bits, fragments of hull flew from the vessel, the others moved behind the cruiser had its shields reduced by very little, its engines gone it lay adrift a flaming piece of wreckage, min power gone, it was useless for now. the cruisers and frigates gleaming bodies shimmered in the bright exchange of fire. The projectiles hit the multi dimensional shields of the ships with each hit the shields reverberated with blue and white , the energy of the projectiles echoing around the ships shielding, the ship shook gently. The cruisers shields remained unharmed as its shield absorbed the impacts one after another. The frigate had its shields reduced by half and fluctuations were beginning in the field.
The commander stood up in the slightly shaking bridge, its chrome white light turning in to red gleaming across the metallic floor and walls of the bridge. He gritted his teeth He started to speak in a rather confident and deep voice “are these people idiots!? Using cfracs close to a planet, one misguided shell and that planets toast! All weapon banks fire at will !” the other officer nodded taping his holographic console in front of him. The silent ominously large cruiser and the smaller Frigates suddenly opened up with a torrent of fire, green slashes of disruptor fire burst out of hundreds of weapons banks from the cruiser and dozens from the frigates, green pulses of disruptor fire raged from the ships in constant streams of pulses, positron torpedoes , cruise missiles and HD spike drivers followed en mass behind, the void over the jewel of a planet we lit up with torrents of blue, green, orange and white. C fractional HD spike drivers fired out again and again form large weapons batteries, disruptor's and missiles of all kinds lit up the ships in a cornucopia of colors, noises of energy fire reverberating around the huge cruiser the commander stood looking out of the holographic view port as his ships filled the dark lifeless void between the two ships with colorful but deadly weapons fire. His mind filled with thoughts he smiled slightly his blue black and red uniform lit red by the lights as noises reverberated around the entire ships filling the ears of the crew and command staff, the commander looked back to his tactical officer and watched the ai of the ship float over him, he started to speak in a confident voice his eyes narrowing and panning his officers his hair gleaming in the red light.
“I want fighters launched, target some weapons fire to those units hitting us! Brake formation and flank them” Suddenly fire shifted to several ships at once, as the small scouting party broke from the planet starting to move quickly the frigates pushed there engines hard and quick, they swooshed and swooped around going to the right and to the left of the Emmey fleet the cruiser maneuvered to get above them still firing its weapons again and again, Teratons upon teratons of fire flew from the cruiser it self blanketing the area. Suddenly at the edge of the system, a fleet of 13 ships busted out of hyper warp, the space around the ships crackling and energetically ripping space apart as they flew in to the system, the Grey and chrome gleaming ominous bodies floated slowly towards the conflict, there gravimetric engines emitting a stream of white and blue particles behind them lighting up the Grey ominous ships. A tall built Commodore with the same blue black and red uniform stood up with a grin, his mustache slightly twitching up as he smiled, his hands to the side of him. The group consisted of 4 cruisers, a battle ship, 4 destroyers , 4 frigates. Well out side of the enemies range the cruisers and battle ships slowed the a crawl, there ominous bodies slashing through the darkness of space like angles of death, the massive 6 kilometer Battle ship floated ominously and gently, the commodore on board looked over to his ai and tactical officer he grinned again his blue eyes panning his red lit bridge, he nodded.
Suddenly the new fleet opened up thousands upon thousands of long range disruptor, missiles and HD C fractional projectiles, poured out , the massive dark distances of space were filled with the fire power of an entire fleet, hundreds of tera tons of fire power poured out from reverberating and recoiling turrets beam weapons missiles tubes and HD spike driver guns, like swarms of bees fighters and wraith gunships began launching from Federal star fighter bays, there gleaming bodies be lit up by the massive amounts of fire being unleashed by the fleet. 80 meter wraith gunships stormed forth rushing towards the enemy fleet like a swarm of angered lost souls, there engines pushing them forth quickly followed by fighter bombers, the fleet began to maneuver shifting fire again and again to different sub systems of Emmey ships, they maneuvered to surround the Emmey fleet from the back, the side , the top and bottom unleashing torrents upon torrents of colorful burning fire.
Like gods sword the fleet had come down, streaming untold moutons of fire power missiles and color in to the Emmey fleet.
A general message was sent out by the commodore.
”This is commodore Marven Richardson of the The United CoDominiums fifth fleet, to all hostile party's, we demand that you cease hostile activities against our assets and leave the area our we shall be forced to intensify our fire, leave the area immediately !”

Meanwhile on the planet....
The warrior climbed for a day, he was bloodied and tired, he was hurt from the crash. He could feel ribs move as he neared the top, closer to salvation, closer to home.
He reached the top and looked at the sun overhead, using every ounce of energy, he took the tools and objects needed to make his beacon. Things were comming together, but he grew weaker as time passed, he used his tail for leverage. He then spoke in Onosian, knowing no one but him and his comrades knew the language (OOC:NO ONE). He was unaware of the battle overhead.
Giving his coordinates and activating the beacon, knowing the signal could be picked up and he found, he swalloed a mine and hid the detonator under a large cut from the battle with the hungry beast, a day before, he looked up and with all his energy gone, his eyes turned white and he collapsed...sound muffled...and he slept.

It's scaled hide glistened an oily black as rain spattered through from high treetops. Blood-red markings showed the specimen to be a male. Claws more than a foot long extended from it's hind and forepaws.
"<It's dead, Deco,>" said Maka. "<Stuff doesn't get much deader than that.>"
The Decurion was a cautious man. He'd seen the firepower it took to kill this planet's indigenous life forms, and had good reason for his wariness.
"<Burn it,>" he ordered. "<I want it crisped.>"
He stepped back, revealing the flickering pilot light of the flame tech. For a microsecond the canisters hissed as they expelled their load, before the faceless grey of the forest disappeared in a greasy petrochemical spall.
---
The trees thinned, both in placement and in build. Bedraggled foliage clung to rocky outcrops, growing almost horizontally and subsisting on the minimal nutrients they could scavenge from the stony earth.
The night sky was illuminated by colour and light as the alien fleets continued their silent battle, thousands of kilometres from the surface of the unnamed, backwater world. The creature's pace had become slower, that much the Decurion could read from the ground. Rest stops had become more frequent as it doubtless succumbed to growing hunger and lack of sleep - the squad had found no evidence of cook-fires or night-camps.
Fresh blood had been seen. The creature was also wounded.
---
It wasn't Trandoshan. That much was clear.
Nearly eight feet tall if an inch, the thing was scaled and clawed, with a hairless, ridged skull. It wore only a pair of heavy leather trousers, a powerfully-muscled tail extending from the base of the spine. Blood trickled slowly through a deep abdominal wound, and the Decurion administered a one-use combat sedative. He washed the blood away from the wound with a trickle of water from his canteen, and closed it with a hooked needle and thread.
The creature stirred, and the squad's blasters were instantly aimed, covering major trauma zones. The Deco walked back to his squad, his carbine slung, and faced the waking alien.
"Do you speak Aurebesh?" he asked in Galactic Basic.

The squad shuffled back from the creature, their trigger fingers itching. The flamer's pilot light flickered, and a stab of fire ignited the air for a microsecond. The Decurion faced the alien again, his weapon held low and his voice desperate.
"Do you speak Aurebesh!? Back away or I will open fire!"

The warrior composed himself, and stood up, he laughed, a deep laugh. Looking at the man of fire. The laughter directed at him. He saw them as harmless for now. He open with a deep voice and a bow.
"My name is Gerak, and that is all I will tell you. While he is present.." He pointed to the man of fire. He walked with patience, his hands behind him, he knew the patience of the men around him was thin, so he walked with conservatism in mind."...A real warrior gives death to another warrior, and he gives it quick, he has honor, you smell like the death of creatures..all of you, not of warriors. But you did not even give them a good death of one who fights. If you think your fire scares me....you are wrong man with fire. So you can put it down."

"On my world," said the Decurion, "a warrior defeats every enemy that he has. Intelligence is honoured, for only a fool would give his enemy a fighting chance. There is no honour in death, and those who allow themselves to fall deserve nothing."
He motioned to the flame technician, ordering him to extinguish the weapon. The squad had visibly relaxed, but still cradled their weapons and braced themselves in a battle-stance. The Decurion removed his goggles and allowed the alien to see his eyes.
"My name is Lassiter, of the Mandalorian clan Ansu. I am a Decurion in the Army of the Republic and it is in it's name I perform my duty."

You should not have to give them a chance, you should be able to fight them and know you fight the best, both intelligence and the fight are honorable, or else how can you ever know your potential?" He walked around a bit
"But enough of this, you are a warrior, you have the look of one who has faught with honor, I respect you for that. I am Deswa.." He looked in his head for the basic word for it "..I mean Captain Gerak, I crash landed here some days ago and am up here to try and reach for help...." He reached for his side in pain...his ribs were broken badly. He recovered in discomfort, holding his side. "Tell me, why have you been hunting me?"

Like gods sword the fleet had come down, streaming untold moutons of fire power missiles and color in to the Emmey fleet.
The Dark commander watched the incoming fire. It was like a shimmering lake of rainbow colors. It was beautiful... which was why he had to destroy it. He waited to the last second and ordered that the lead shield ship activate his overload effect. An effect that overloads the shield systems of the ship making it erupt into a weapon that destorys other weapons. Although it burns out the ships systems it makes for an great weapon of oppertunity.
The ships in lead got the order. the massive shield being created began to glow a bright color of black light and began to expand. The sheer amount energy used to create this mammoth of a shield was astonomical. As the shield wave continued to move. The space around it began to fall apart. Slipspace wholes and breaks. The incoming fire hit the expanding shield and exploded with great force. Not much made its way through but some. The ones that got through simply where taken out by the rest of the shield ships. The dark commander laughed as the rest of his sniper ships came active. They came to the front of the command ships and took aim at the new ships. Without warning the sniper ships fired, luanching vally after vally of sniper rounds.
The command ships now wanted to play. Swiftly it manuvered around its own fleet and took aim at the ship giving the " cease and desist" order. The sniper cannon on the command ship was not a normal sniper cannon, it was larger and faster then the MK I's that the ships ships had. Its shell traveled right at the line between lightspeed and normal speed. making it become engulfed in hyperspace energies when it hit. It was a devestating weapon. Infact the weapon was so big it was the frame for the command ship. As the dark commander activated the weapon the front of the ship opened up exposing the barrel. With the barrel exposed it began to collect cosmic energies and charge up itself to wrap the shell in its energy cacoon. It flashed and crackled as energy was collected. As the while sniper chips have been unloading shell after shell. sometimes as much as 50 shells a round.
The missiles ships still sitting in the background finally got their orders. To fire upon the newest fleet of ships. The missile pods which where located all over the ships bodies luanched all at once in a coordinated luanch. It looked like the ships turned into missile vapor as each ships waited just 2 seconds after the last to fire. Thousnads of missile trails streaked forth to chaos and hell. To the dark fleet the battle was onlt just begining.

The Digital World in question was one of a number of worlds connected by a vast network of cyberspatial wormholes originally formed from the Earth's Internet and communications network, but expanded with connections to the Holonet and other interstellar computer networks to encompass an entire universe in its own right. So it was no surprise that the incursion on the border world by the forces of the Republic and the Empire was noted by the highest powers in the Digital World: the Digimon Sovereigns.
"Humans!" Spat the Phoenix Mega-level Digimon, Zhuqiaomon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhuqiaomon). "They encroach on our world! Blood runs the streets of the Digimon villages while we debate our course of action! The course is clear: to remove our foes from our world by any means necessary, including force!"
"Calm yourself, Zhuqiaomon." The calm, God-like voice of the long-dragon Azulongmon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azulongmon) soothed. "I suggest we learn the humans' intentions before we do anything rash. Let us send a representative and learn what we need to know."
"As if the humans will simply allow our representative to sit down and have tea and scones." Baihumon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baihumon), the White Tiger, scoffed. "But I suppose we should conduct some intelligence."
"And I believe I have just the Digimon in mind..." Ebonwumon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebonwumon) the Tortoise suggested.
=====
A slight flash occurred in a forest and an orange-furred Fox Digimon stood on two legs on a large branch. She sniffed the air, sighing. "This is the place all right. Nothing like the smell of blood to chill the veins."
A Rookie-level Digimon, Vixenmon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renamon) has the gift of speed and intelligence that characterizes all kitsunes, and unlike a yellow Renamon she knew, she has not yet been selected in a human partnership, which would make her impartial in any dealings. But right now, her mission was clear. Make contact with the human armies on this Digital World and learn their intentions. Avoid conflict at all possible. And get back alive to report.
As she ran through the simple mission objectives, Vixenmon's powerful legs sprang outward, launching her from one branch to another, occasionally teleporting when a branch is too far for tree-jumping. A short time later, her ears caught the wind, and with it, some undiscernable voices. She moved in to investigate, sneaking silently through the shadows to prevent detection...
OOC: Vixenmon is approaching the conversation.

And then he noticed - they were not CoDominium ships. They were.. different. He had not seen them before. Bringing the fleet in a spherical formation around the Woundweaver, he sent a set of communications.

Please state your intentions. We do not wish to fire on you, however, unless you state the circumstances which brought you to firing, we may have to do so

Our apologies, Imperials. It appears that you have been attacked by some manner of madmen. I can only commend your diligence in attempting to destroy them. Do you require assistance?
The Woundweaver spun out of formation, guns trained on the far-distant enemy fleet. The Imperials, it seemed, were the lesser threat here. To abandon the Ansu to these enemies would be most distasteful - even if it meant working with the Empire.
The few ships he had brought with him would have to be enough. As it stood, it appeared that they were outnumbered. Or at least outgunned. However, the Imperials posed far less of a threat than these newcomers.. "stasis fields online, Consul."
The message broke through his reverie, and he snapped to attention, looking at the display. A maser barrage would be the first thing fired, testing the enemy defenses. They could not allow this colony to fall.
Invisible beams lanced out from the ships, heading towards the extrapolated position of the enemy ships - their chances of hitting, especially considering that they would be undetected, was high. Of course, they did not know what damage that would do.. that was what they were to find out.
You are, then, pitiable. I find it to be my duty as Consul of the Republic to annihilate you, and to remove you from this system, as I am pledged to do so. Make whatever rituals are necessary for your species. You have ten seconds to do so.

(ooc: right then I know a few things wrong with this post I will highlight them, how the hell do you manage to fire 50 rounds per shot of projectiles going at 99% the speed of light! the power required alone would make your ship in to a big reactor, not only that the force needed to move the object that speed would tare you ship to bits and make your ship fly half way across the solar system, my HD spike drivers (mind you they are super massive projectiles partly suspended in another dimension with the mass of a dwarf star!) only go about .15 c not only that they only fire about 3 per Minuit any more and my ships would be tared to smithereens. number 2, you took no losses what so ever and wankningly avoided every shot my entire fleet there (mind you my ships are considered individually powerful because I have a small fleet FFS i only have 500 capital ships), but any way how the hell can you avoid fire from all sides, HD spike drivers, powerful disruptor beams equivalent to the power of 4 heavy turbo laser batteries from an ISD combined, anti matter missiles with over 500 kgs of anti matter on them that are equivalent to 21480 megatons of destructive force. mind you I also did take damage from your first assault, I don't mean to be an ass but I just had to call you out on this, I don't want to ignore ya , I don't like ignoring any one lets work it out I have msn, its RDX88E@HOTMAIL.COM, feel free to add me and we can discuss this more.)

The Tarkand looked at the man with a smile in his eyes. "Let me show you something... you see that?" he pointed at a small brown dome, similar to a rock. "That is a beacon device, it sends out a superspace becon, if I am correct, my home has recived the message by now."
"They are coming...for me. And if they find me without limbs....well."
Lassiter lined up with the beacon, and pulled the trigger of his C60. The blaster bucked as it spat round after crimson round of las-fire, ripping the beacon apart by sections. Component metals melted, and dribbled into a silver pool in the soft soil.
Every weapon in the squad was immediately trained on Gerak, including the hissing pilot light and soot-blackened muzzle of the flame projector. Lassiter switched his weapon to stun with familiar efficiency and held it at eye level, aimed at the tall alien's midriff.
"You are not in control here," he snarled. "and you have wasted your chance."
He fired, and the low-energy stun round hit Gerak in the middle of his chest. The alien staggered with the impact, and Lassiter kept firing until he couldn't stand.

The Super Star Destroyer Executor hovered in the cosmos like a titan of stars. Dominated by the rigours of Imperial justice the system balked at the might of Imperial vindication, fury and retaliation.
"Glory!"
The bridge of the Executor inflamed with rage began the necessary targeting procedures.
"One indomitable heart, Brothers all.
We, the wrath of Coruscant, Brothers all.
And glory, eternal glory."
Grand Moff Tarkin and Inquisitor Malorum scowled at the enemy forces swarming their territory, the might of an entire expedition fleet arrayed before the meagre resistance of the Republic.
"We shall bear its weight together.
Forged like the saber in the fires of death, Brothers all."
Tie fighters swarmed from capital ships, while turbolasers arced towards the enemy.
"Those who stand before us light the night sky in flame.
Our vengeance burns brighter still.
Every last traitorous soul shall kneel."
Inquisitor Malorum spat at the desecration of Imperial space. Tarkin merely smiled with sly glint in his eyes.
"Those who stand before us light the night sky in flame.
Our vengeance burns brighter still.
Every last traitorous soul shall fall!"
"Fire."
"Fire."
"Fire."
Tarkin chuckled unusually, allowing a small leak of emotion to ebb into the stream of command. The tactical screen detailed a situation untenable for the disguised Republic fleet. They, the enemy had declared war upon the empire, attacked Imperial ships, in Imperial space. And the Republic, were marching upon the emperors territory under the banner of betrayal. "Captain Netter, order the forward strike group to insure the enemy does not remove itself from our inhibitor fields, I do not desire them to escape." The orders filtered out through the fleet.
As commanded, six Imperial Star Destroyers and their escorts advanced in a restrained flanking position around the enemy, insuring them completely consumed by artificial damnation. "As for their Sniper Ships, prepare the Providence attack group and have them removed at once." The Admiral waved his hand as though they concerned him not. "Relay the co-ordinates for their reversion, along with strike group alpha from their patrol route around the system. Insure they understand that this disguised Republic force is our only enemy for now." Netter relayed the orders as commanded.
Within several seconds captain Killious arrived in system with several Munificent class star ships, aimed and veered at a flanking vector of the enemy.
One transmission was released before the out manoeuvred, trapped and flanked enemy force would be wiped from the face of the Galaxy.

OOC: So far, I'm only firing upon Hobb. I must also convey my regrets at how rubbish the post is, but it's 1:11 am. My next one will be far more polished, sorry chaps. Currently the Hobb force is being swarmed by sheer Imperial numbers, firepower, and rage. Ships are moving in from several vectors front back up and down and Hobb is now constrained in an FTLi field. We are ignoring all other Republic forces for now.

"My Lord, we are detecting new contacts on passive scans, enemy flotilla opposite Fedral forces, they are engaging. It appears they have an overshield system, the Fedral firepower was insufficient to break through." Armsmen Saratov stated matter of factly. Captain Helmut Morgenstern was a warrior, his duty was not to think, but to act or to not act. "DEM sensors on active sweep, activate Urenbecht field, power up propulsion and set Loengren charges, prepare for battle." he commanded. Suddenly a view screen projection appeared over the panaramic monitors surrounding the bridge, easily within view of the Captain. The DEM scan would show every possible detail on the battlefield, as well as where shield lines intersected. Many overshields worked on the same principle as ancient shield walls. The trick in beating such a mechanism was knowing where to attack. If one fired without proper knowledge of placement, one would risk striking a buttressed area of shielding.
The DEM scanners would pick out where the shields met and be able to allow the gunners of the DCN Merciful Blow to better pick their targets. As soon as the proper attack vectors were analysed, a transmission was sent to their Fedral Counterparts, showing them in clear detail where the shields met, thus showing them where not to fire. Overshields were powerful systems, but they had drawbacks. The worst of which was the proximity in which the vessels had to remain to gain the most benefit. Merciful blows massive ultra heavy turret spun in to position, targetting one of the smaller shield arcs, one that likely belonged to one of the smaller shield ships. The massive nuclear detonations inside the twin boomed barrel of the cannon could be seen clearly from a hundred thousand kilometers away. The massive beam weapon fired, projecting the entire ten second beam length of the star ship devouring graser beam against the closest of the shield ships, particularly against the shield.
Then the heavy X ray lasers started to fire, the Loengren had to cool down before firing again, these secondary weapons would hammer away at the same shield ship, letting loose with a constant, heavy barrage of deadly energy beams. The main Urenbecht weapon also fired, the space time conduit that the five ton shell travelled through extended out almost six hundred thousand kilometers. The round slipped out and in to real space, travelling at fantastic velocities as it self destructed in to a massive Graser beam, targetting the same point as the rest of the firepower unleashed.
The squadrons remaining aboard the DCN merciful blow launched, six Kernschatten stealth high maneuver frames powered ahead of the twelve Morgenraetes, preparing to strike under the enemy shielding with heavy antimatter torpedoes before returning to rearm. The Morgenraete III's stayed within relatively close proximity to the DCN Merciful blow, lest she require the extra point defense the high maneuver configuration could offer.
The Merciful blow was on the hunt, preparing to aid their allies against this unknown enemy, more for entertainment then out of obligation. As the weaponry was loosed. Armsmen Saratov spoke once more. "My lord, additional contacts noted...not hostile towards us they seem to be aiding the Fedral Forces." he stated. "Viewer, show me the newcomers." The Captain stated. Another holographic screen appeared a few feet from the Captains face, this showing the newly arrived vessels. Captain Morgenblum rested his chin on his hand and prepared to follow the sequence of battle to its conclusion, the question of who these people helping the Fedrals were, would be answered afterwords...

The small group of a dozen youths and their sergeant moved quietly through the underbrush with the practiced ease of veterans. They were moving towards the signs of electromagnetic and electrical activity they were able to detect on their scanners, life signs were everywhere but nothing as of yet had bothered the younglings on their mission. They continued to move forward, towards the activity they had detected, cautiously but with the excited air of youth. It was all getting to be a little much for Sergeant Falthir. "Quiet down, the enemy may be able to pick up on your idle chatter, whelps, it wont be me giving first blood to the enemy, I assure you of that." he growled at them, the simple chastisement was effective.
Squire Eliza Leronos and Squire Terra Denetir quickly stopped bickering as they always did. Eliza was taller then Terra, but Terra was more well endowed and had darker hair, the two were at constant odds. Normally it was about one of the other squires they were both chasing after, this time however it was about some sort of bet they had made. One or the other had refused to relent on whether or not the other had lost, this of course was leading to very distracting arguments. Normally the boys would just chuckle and the other girl, Squire Karinna Tatinov would just shake her head. Besides, she generally wound up winning a kiss from the boys the other two were after, simply by avoiding the bickering. They were warriors, but still they were allowed some of the freedoms of normal teenagers, first loves amongst them.
However when that interfered with training or a mission, then it was not tolerated. Punishments would be in order if the two kept up. Squire Randall Realteranion was more then a little angry at the two. Not least of which amongst the reasons was the fact they had a rather viscious fight over him which cost them a tournament last year. He was certain they were going to mess up the training mission. He was tall, six feet and the eldest at eighteen years of age, the equivalent of a human fifteen year old. He had long uncropped blonde hair which would have framed his face if it were not for the helmet he wore. However one could clearly see his displeasure through the tinted faceplate, allowing for maximum visibility as well as a good look at his angry snarl. He quietly broadcasted a message to his piers. "Shut up, I swear to heaven I will switch the both of you myself if you screw this mission up, behave like knights! Not like little Prefect breeders."
Sergeant Falthir was listening in on the conversation. "Squire Realteranion, that showed quick thinking and decisive leadership, I commend you on your ability, you will make sergeant soon yourself." he laughed at the now embarrassed squire. The reference to switching was not something he had wished anyone else to overhear. "Thank you Sergeant, I only serve as I am taught, my teacher should be commended, not I." The Sergeant simply shook his head and kept moving. The squad managed to make it to within one kilometer the source of the signals without much more trouble from over excitement. Now it was Anxieties turn to take over as they started to move much more slowly in the brush, their power armour starting to match the shade and hues of every leaf, stone and twig as stealth went active. Sound suppressors muffled footsteps and movement as the group slowly and very quietly crept up on the sizeable, unknown force they detected upon landing.

Vixenmon watched the proceedings with an impersonal air. Hmm. It appears that the ones with the laser guns are pretty trigger-happy. The question is, should I help the alien creature? Or simply introduce myself as a resident of this world?
She thought about it for a second, before opening her fanged mouth and speaking out loud, still hidden somewhere in the trees. "Foreign intruders. You are within the domain of the Great Sovereigns. I would suggest, as a representative of the Sovereigns, that we speak on this issue immediately."

The shocks corsed through his body like a claw from a Haku warrior, he fell to his knee, large growls that could be heard for a 1/4 of a mile were eminating from him (blocking out vixens orders) as he droped assumed knocked out...but... that was not the case his grunts of pain turned into laughs of a howling mad creature he killed before, desperate. He stood holding a silver trigger device with his thumb pressed down on the button, causing a beeping noice and red lights to be heard and seen, his eyes red, his spines on his back up, his scales shaking with the noise of bone on bone. Hidden underneath his scales on his side, he had used this moment to pull it out.
A muffled beeping could be heard from is abdomen.
"If I let go of the button young one, the charge in my stomach will blow this plateau to the far ends of this world. Now drop your weapons and return mine and I will not kill you all."
The shock had little effect on him....but he felt wierd, someone else was close. But thoughts flooded in and destroyed those, when will the ships arrive.

“Any resistance captain?” Tarkin asked rigidly. His face and general features cold as stone.
“Negative admiral, the tactical situation has remained unchanged. The Fedrals are continuing to push forward on all vectors, and our flanking forces have achieved full surprise.”
“Excellent.” Tarkin exclaimed proudly. Clasping his hands the Imperial officer contemplated the situation. “Captain once the enemy has been destroyed, I want you to begin the preliminary stages of a base delta zero strike on the surface of the planet. Polar regions only for now.”
Netter was visibly surprised at this most unusual and orthodox order. “Admiral, if I may speak freely?”
“Yes captain, you may?”
“Wouldn’t such a reorganisation of our forces endanger our strategic positioning against all be it our inferior enemy? We would be backed up against the planets gravity well.”
“Yes, it and we most certainly would.” The Moff trailed off into silence. “You see captain, the Republic most certainly has ground forces upon the surface of that world. Reconnaissance teams at the very least.”
“But admiral, I fail to see how-“
“Yes, you most certainly fail to see, which is why you are of a lower rank my good captain. The Republic values the lives of their personnel, they are too weak to make the difficult decisions needed for an Imperial command. Once their ground forces attempt to evacuate, we shall tractor them aboard and find the real reason for this breech of the emperors space.”
“I agree Admiral.” A voice hissed from the shadows. “Not all is as it seems here and now, we must proceed carefully, diligently.”
“All enemy forces have been destroyed.” Commscan declared. “Rescue and repair teams are being dispatched.”
“They won’t leave here without being forced Admiral, the force dictates the truth and the path. We must use fire to quench their first. We must not relent when negotiations undoubtedly fail.”
“Inquisitor Malorum.” Tarkin feigned a greeting. “One day you really must tell me how you continue to circumvent my security.” The hooded Sith just stood there in the shadow of a bulkhead, Tarkins personal Nohgri moving into position.
“The emperor bids that you remove this Republic threat Moff Tarkin. The remains of the old order must be destroyed for new and full growth in enlightenment.” Malorum smiled like a viper and lurched towards the hyperlift. “The emperor is watching you admiral, his heart falls upon this very fleet as we speak.” Malorum smiled sadisticly before retreating to the bowels of the ship.
“Admiral. The fleet is taking its position around the planet.”
“Very well. Send a communication to the Fedrals, have them target the polar regions, and request that they use a few of their anti matter weapons. Oh and captain.”
“Yes Admiral?”
“Don't ever second guess me again, there is no place in the empire for questions, only obedience.”
Transmission to Republic forces.
“You have violated Imperial space, you have attacked and then balked at the might of our fleet in an attempt to take that which is not yours by force. The Empire graciously extended its hand of converse, we extended our ears of diplomacy, and yet you respond by fire?

Callis snarled. "They dare? They dare?"
A trembling hand found its way down to his sword, grasping it tightly, before he regained control of himself. "They will not slander the Republic. No. Helm, prepare our weaponry for a volley. I will send a reply immediately."
I find your analysis of the situation somewhat disturbing. This is claimed Republic space, and has been so for quite some time. The colonization effort on this world has been in place, and progressing at a reasonable rate.
At first, I had assumed that the rogue force was the reason you arrived - to combat some threat we as yet had no foreknowledge of. Nonetheless, you shall not force us from what is rightfully ours, nor shall you slander our good name so that you may take up arms against us.
We shall stay, and protect our colony, as well as other Republic worlds in this sector. Although there is, of yet, no treaty between us, I suggest that you do not spark a war. We are well-prepared to defend our territory, and will not bow to the whims of tyrants and madmen.

The fleet moved subtly, rearranging itself to prepare to jump, whether towards the planet, or away.
"I want a stasis field ready to be thrown up above the areas that are currently occupied by Ansu taskforces, and a barrage of fire prepared. If the Imperials move to attack us, or our world, we will respond in kind."
He smiled, and felt for his sword. It had been too long since he had felt the flames of battle, tasted blood on the wind... the sword slid out of the sheath, glowing an incandescent blue.
"Come, then, scions of the Sith. Come and die.", he whispered.

Curilis frowned as he watched two crewmembers drop a crate of supplies, spilling the contents onto the floor. But of course, they were Arcadians, if they were any other race of the Republic they wouldn't have been so clumsy, but as fate would have it, he had many Arcadians within his fleet now.
He moved with elegance across the catwalk of the bridge, below him the various instruments and consoles beeping and humming, the men stationed at them hard at work. For quite some time now the Velox Imperia II, or Second Imperial Fleet, had been preparing to move out in support of the Consul, who had started them preparing before he left.
"General," Admiral Fosk looked up at his superior from the console he was standing at, listening to the message the crewman had picked up. "General Curilis, sir, we've received word from Callis. The situation has escalated, and Imperial forces are preparing to attack the Consuls fleet. He requests reinforcements immeadiatly."
Curilis stopped his march and peered down at the officer in the plain grey naval uniform. "Have all our forces been accounted for?"
"Yes, General. Five hundred Republican vessels, with at least one legion in each. All supplies and compliments have been loaded as well, we are ready to depart."
"How long will it take to arrive at the Consuls position?"
The Admiral looked back down at console and gave a quiet order to the man stationed there. "Eight hours, sir."
Demeter nodded. "Reply to the Consul, tell him that we shall be with him shortly."
Republican fleets always looked so out of the ordinary, the various different types of vessels that came from every province not allowing much to connect the ships to the single standard. However that was changing, and three of the new standardised vessels were apart of this battle fleet. Patrician class destroyers, fitted with Taledonian equipement. The massive battle armada hung in a lose formation before the planet Taledonia, their features being clearly highlighted by the blue planet below. A flash of light, and then they were gone from the system.
