Arx Dei Floating Fortress, Fyre Sea, Haven
As the strategic conference concluded quickly, Grand Admiral Al Jackson and General Donald Dunn boarded a waiting transport helicopter, bound for the flagship of the fleet heading to Bartonstein - IWNS Tom Sawyer, the third of three Hood class supercapitals in the Imperial Whyatican arsenal. With the massive redeployments and reshufflings of active troops, ships, and planes throughout the Empire, this third strategic fleet contained elements from the other two strategic fleets, as well as smaller expeditionary and tactical fleets formerly deployed elsewhere. General Dunn and Admiral Jackson continued to talk about their plans - They were in joint command of the marine force, as the marines were technically a joint army-navy venture.

Hundreds of ships and planes flocked to and from the Arx Dei, refueling, rearming, the works. The man-made island was capable of refueling and supporting even the gargantuan supercapitals, given that draft was not a major concern in the open waters. The Whyatican battlegroup, undocking from the Fortress, formed up and waited for the Cravanian, Izistani, and Endorsian fleets to join their formation.

OOC:This is going to be a lot like Normandy. I have a basic regional map somewhere, the only means of assault are beach landings and airdrops, land invasions would require you entering through other nations, not in the alliance.

INV Bellerophon, 3rd Expeditionary Fleet.

Jesus christ.

You heard about it on the radio, saw it on television, but the Arx Dei complex needed to be seen with the Mark One Eyeball to really be appreciated. It was simply, in the words of one wit, fucking huge.

Still, Admiral Mackenzie wasn't phased, this was a friendly neighborhood defense platform after all, and they were expected. Still, the damn war had made a lot of Navy personnel nervous, as they were generally not used to being shot at. Oh well.

Aft of Bellerophon streamed a massive array of logistical ships, air defense vessels, other Bellerophon's, cruisers, and even some submarines (it was rumored that the SORG* would be activated for this operation). And behind that was the transport fleet that held over five hundred thousand Marines and logistical support, armor, and equipment. It was a seriously big deployment for Izistan, although it was easily within its peace time capabilities.

And if anything came up in Haven, they were just a stones throw away (figuratively anyway).
