Sir James Irvine, Chief Executive Officer and Majority Shareholder of LifeWyze Corporation Plc. mounts a podium, which in turn stands upon a stage, in Maraque's New Maraque City. Behind the stage, the face of a building is curtained off. A crowd of several hundred are gathered below, and six bodyguards stand within fifteen feet of Sir James. Sir James is dressed in a light grey suit and white shirt, with a white tie; he seems to have aged not at all in the two and quarter years since his last public announcement, still seeming in his early thirties with lightly bleached blond hair.
"Good afternoon,
"After two years of relative inactivity, LifeWyze no longer stands as the international power it once was. Its hospitals still service two dozen countries worldwide, its products stand upon shelves in stores such as Tesco, WalMart and Lidl, and its weaponry keeps countless nations safe.
"Nevertheless, there have been no major product releases for two years. Today, this changes. On behalf of the LifeWyze Corporation, I am proud to present;
"The AlteredSation, Variant B, a modification of the original AlteredSation breed- A cage rises through the stage, wherein is contained an alsation.
"The Ovis duo-aries, the next generation sheep- Another cage appears through the stage, wherein stands an enormous sheep, half again the size of an average sheep.
"The Bombyx duo-mori, silkworms modified for a new generation of textiles- A transparent container rises containing a dozen silkworms.
"And finally, I am proud to announce that LifeWyze is to offer its most advanced medical service to date."
From behind the stage, the red curtain falls to ground revealing a three story building, the entire front of which is glass. A sign upon the building reads: LifeWyze Corporation, NuBorns.
"The NewBorns Clinic is the latest in fertilization clinics, replete with technology for the alteration of a foetus! NuBorns represents the ultimate in medical advancement, and will allow for the eradication of faulty genes, thereby reducing the chances of genetic faults and disabilities to near zero!
"Furthermore, it will also give parents the power design their babies, to choose their childrens' gender, hair colour, eye colour; whatever is desired!
"Two more NuBorns Clinics will open this week in Cruxium, and our other products will be available before the end of the month. Further details will be available through contact with our customer service department.
