OT Curriculum, 'Officer's Training', instead of going into the mandatory military service as a private and then promoted through the normal routes or having to pass exams, they can jump directly to officer's training.

Principle Tutoring was a family-owned organisation with thirty private schools operating across Gorkon. In the advent of public schooling it barely received a glancing notice from the vast majority of people, nor the government who largely left the economy to its own devices without interfering, but nevertheless their numerous schools always had full classrooms and they were making a decent profit with several thousand students currently enrolled across numerous age ranges.

The family, however, was looking to sell while the company was doing well. Many members of the six-strong team of related entrepreneurs were eager to move on to new projects, while several of them simply wanted to retire and reap the rewards of their success over the years. Thus, they had two options to consider. Switching to a public limited company would be a time consuming process that would not necessarily guarantee them a large settlement quickly, especially if the market changed for the worse before the process was complete. Selling to another company directly, however, would achieve these things and allow the family members to go their own separate ways with a quick payout.

No domestic companies capable of buying them out were interested, however, so they looked abroad. The somewhat dubiously-named Demented Corporation was a strong candidate, as they both had the resources to buy them out and were looking to expand into foreign markets anyway.

So a Mr. Jaard, the eldest family member and the man with a controlling stake in the company, wrote to the Demented Corporation on behalf of his family to make them an offer. 3.3 billion gold sovereign in exchange for a series of modern, fully-equipped and staffed school facilities complete with existing customers, for them to do with as they wished. It seemed like a reasonable offer to him; the family wanted a quick sale after all, but of course he didn't say as much. The letter was sent most promptly, along with a package containing a brochure for each of the schools they operated so that they could see what the heck it was that they were buying. Baywatch was on TV, and Mr. Jaard enjoyed the program immensely.

While we pretty much agree with everything in your article – indeed, we do not view consumerism as a negative at all, and would like to state it has largely had a positive effect on the progress of mankind - we would however, like to point out that the prices for our baseline schools are not in any way unaffordable or 'elitist'. As a matter of fact, at $2000 per annum they're affordable to all – and that's before scholarships, awards, and subsidies begin to kick in. And some nations have school vouchers.

The latest in a series of Allanean companies that have taken a foothold in Otagia, Demented Schooling opened its thousandth campus in Otagia today. Due to a resurgence of interest in private schooling, thanks to the appalling casualties sustained by 'trained' teenage soldiers during the Civil War, many concerned parents now purchase extra training for their children. Most likely you'll open a few schools using Kinray to show off how great it is. When Minister Meyers endorses it, you'll explode.

Expect between 100,000 and 200,000 schools in a few years. Many in the colonies.

However, the King himself has requested that he and some of the more stupid members of the government can have some tuition from "Demented Schooling". Unfortunately, they're not all too popular. In a recent poll of 17,000 parents conducted by the Catalia Chronicle, 84% said they could not trust anything originating in Allanea, with 67% adding that they would not want their children exposed to Allanean culture or ideas. Some parents in the southeast of Zwangzug are interested in setting up some of these institutions (probably secular, humanities-oriented), and the government is too liberal to do anything about it. Said government has also destroyed the economy, so there's no meaningful currency with which to pay for this instruction. The Educational Council of The People's Republic of Tokyoni, under the wise and prudent leadership of our Premier has examined all such 'educational material' presented, and reviewed it as nothing short of pro-capitalist propaganda, seeking to create a world with deeper class divisions and inequality and teaching the lie that the dollar is worth more than the human life in their scewed economical mindset.

As such, for the good of our civilization, the People's Republic of Tokyoni has officially blacklisted all such materials as anti-state propaganda. Any citizen found in possession of such materials will be considered guilty of treason against the state and penalized accordingly.

The People's Republic of Tokyoni must be the herald of Kira's glorious message of New Juche to the world, and as such cannot have the minds of its impressionable young people polluted by such foreign rubbish. The People's Republic of Tokyoni further finds this foriegn propaganda to be so reprehensible that we have instructed all universities and places of employment under our jurisdiction not to accept the credentials of those individuals trained under this program.

Official Demented Schooling message to Chernobyl-Pripyat

We would like to open a single school in the city of Slavutych, to house 350 pupils that will be taught a crew of 40 teachers, local and Allanean. Tuition costs will be approximately $20,000 per annum, and the school will cater to the wealthiest inhabitants of the city.

Official Press Release from the Demented Schooling Corporation

We would like to congratulate our employees in Reichskamphen for their success. After the government there had introduced a school voucher system, the Demented Schooling Corporation had de-facto replaced the public education system of Reichskamphen, providing a variety of schooling services to over 2.5 billion children in that country.

After recent crises had left the local education system a shambles, DSC had been able to ride in like the veritable knight on the white horse – except, instead of saving some princess, we saved the children of Reichskamphen – the very future of that country.

As of today, two million Allaneans and at least twenty million locals are employed by the corporation in Reichskamphen.

They operate over four million schools of various levels:

3,000,000 baseline schools of various kinds, in which 2,000,000,000 children study
1,000,000 Advanced schools, serving the needs of 500,000,000
20,000 Elite schools, housing about 200,000 children throughout Reichksamphen

The total income from vouchers is approximately six trillion dollars. Other sources of income throughout the nation also exist.

Negotations are currently under way for the purchase of several universities and seminaries throughout the nation.

After an investigation of the "Demented Schooling Corporation" private schools, they have been permitted to "set up shop" in the Confederacy, at their leisure, as long as the government does not see fit to close down the school.

A little bit of background information on the educational system: Much like the US. Private schools are allowed to start up and do whatever they want, but the public school is the main avenue. Schooling for the rich is probably a lucrative way to go.
