Ok, most of the organisation and planning for this has been occurring over IRC. This is going to be a closed RP; everyone who is participating in it already knows who they are, and the more obvious ones are listed below, although they may change sides at any point.

If you're really, really dying to join, drop me a TG with which side you're planning to support, why, etc. and I'll let you know.

Summary: The Czardaian Government has just been clusterfucked. Why, how, and by whom is explained in the IC thread (coming soon!). The country has been divided into four major groups. Loyalists are a large, heterogeneous group of pro-democracy forces, seeking to restore a similar government to the Alhoun administration under Joshua i-Latinu (a former deputy assistant foreign minister, 3rd in line to the position and thought to be quite competent, although he doesn't appear in the first five posts at all). The Imperium Sanctum Rei Publicae Dorii, or just Dorium, desires complete independence and is known for its strongly conservative, Catholic outlook on things. The Meritocracy is a massive shadowy underground organisation led by a man known only as 'Vermius'; its primary objective is to restore order where there was once anarchy and create a government determined by achievement, rather than democracy. As the name may indicate. Finally, the Socialists, who are initially led by a person named Albert Razryuschivensko (although he'll die a few posts in), are the largest group, seeking to reform the ultra-capitalizt Czardaian system, increase basic healthcare and welfare, etc.

Independents abound, of course; they're the people who don't really care. And there are several large conglomerates prowling around and doing whatever conglomerates do, which is buy stuff and raise private armies.

My main interests, if I can participate, would be getting my diplomatic missions the hell outta there and whatever Southeast Asian citizens in Czardas as well.

Holy Hell (yes, that's an oxymoron), I just saw this, tried to read some of this, but it's too long, not enough time (college applications, school, got mono unfortunately, stuff). Can someone summarize it for me? Thanks if you can

The first post in this (OOC) thread summarises the situation as shortly as I could do so. Writing it out took 9000 words, so I don't blame you for not reading it all. ;)

especially since 1) I have no idea who you are and 2) you've never interacted with my nation at all, or vice versa. Oh, and 3) I've yet to see any samples of your roleplaying to know whether it's up to par with that of everyone else who's joined so far.

Summary: Czardas is taking some hits at home for supporting a war against Doomingsland. The Catholic-majority area of Dorandor secedes to form Dorium, and Kari Alhoun is forced to announce martial law in Czardas. The citizens, used to doing pretty much whatever they want, did not like this and began rioting; Alhoun has to tell the guards to subdue the crowd and a firefight begins. From there Czardas explodes into civil war; Loyalists want the old government, the Meritocracy wants a meritocracy, Dorium wants independence and probably a chunk of Czardas, too, and the Socialists want the economy reformed and more welfare thrown in. Meanwhile, friends of Czardas like Yafor 2 and Velkya are getting involved, and the Imperium, which hates Czardas too much to even consider letting this chance pass by, is preparing to invade Czardas again.

Hope I got all the main points. I tried to make it short and read-able.

As a further summary, although the posts haven't been made yet because Doom, TSS et al. are far too busy n00bstomping EVIL or some such co-ordinated project, most of the future APOC members are going to get involved in this as well, because it ends up basically causing APOC. (A conference named after the capital ship on which it is held amongst the various non-Czardas powers leads to the agreement that civilisation has to be protected against such destructive wars emerging in what might have been productive states -- in other words, against anarchy and chaos. Thus, the Alliance for the Preservation of Civilisation, designed to preserve it against forces threatening to degenerate it into chaos. I believe that was the general plan, someone else can correct me if it's not.)

Hey, I started my post, but then I got hit broadside with a bad case of hypergina(sp?) basically the flu(not stomach flu thankfully) except you get some really bad cankersores in your mouth and throat, doctor said 2-3 more days until I'm better(got sick the 11th), but then I'll have to catch up with school.

Czardas, you said something wierd in your last post, something along the lines of my nation wants to help your original democratic gov., but it's "strange because it doesn't have one anymore."

Are you trying to say Nueve Italia isn't democratic anymore (which it is, it has direct representation by vote)? Or that there is no Czardaian democratic gov. to get in contact with?

The latter. The Czardaian government has fallen apart, although if you have intel agents on the ground in Mjenaz you'll hear about Joshua i-Latinu's takeage of control; otherwise, it's mostly silent. Your message won't reach anyone because you've probably sent it to Congress Hall, which was burnt to the ground and the rubble sold for weapons, so it understandably hasn't received it. If you sent it somewhere else, that wasn't clear.

Alrighty then, and yes, my post was to try and contact whatever government remained, so it would have been sent to Congress Hall. Won't get next post up for some time, lotta work to do.

You mean the full name, right? Imperium of Kregaia, or Kregaian Imperium. The whole 'the Warmaster' thing was the side-effect of being unable to think of a name while running out of time to borrow the laptop, so later I worked it into my nation's history. But foreigners would never use that term. Kregaian Imperium is probably best, to avoid confusion with the Imperium Doomanum.
