A gross attack on my sovereignty is almost imminent; the monsters are about to invade my nation because they don't believe I have the right to Empire. I do not want to use nuclear weapons, however, if I have to fight alone, I will have to use them.

OOC: You issued an ultimatum demanding that a number of nations, many of whom were considerably larger than you, surrender their sovreignity to you. You then proceeded to invade a nation covered by the previous demand, thereby implying to anyone who wished to take it that way for their own reasons that you intended to attempt to enforce that demand.

And most expansion is not without some trouble. Often this takes the form of someone else wanting the same land. Sometimes it takes other forms. But do not pretend you are being singled out for this 'persecution'.

Finally, as a point of clarity, what is this 'Right of Empire' you keep mentioning?

Granted, you withdrew this ultimatum here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12122601&postcount=25)... but in this (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=512890) thread, you announced that your army had invaded Macedon, one of the nations covered by the previous ultimatum.

Jaredcohenia (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=512890) and Otagia (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=512890) responded, as they had announced they would if you attacked any of the Balkan nations.

Really if you just want an interesting "annexation" RP then make it closed, get a decent RPer to play the part of the invaded nation and possibly your other neighbours, tell a good story and above all DON'T USE RL NATIONS. By all means use the geography just locate and call them something different, by using RL nations you will be treading on a lot of big and very powerful toes.

The Falklands was a complete strategic and tactical loss for the Argentines, and it led to destabilization of the junta that ruled it at the time, paving the way for its eventual overthrow.
