When the order was given, the Task force moved out in two columns, each led by a V-shaped formation of T-72 MBT's. It will be tough going thanks to the dense jungle, but as long as they stick to the main road, they suspect that everything will go as planned.

The force has proceeded 21km inland via highway towards the town of Dapaong. MiG-21's and MiG-17's have been Strategically striking positions in Dapaong to soften it up for the CWAA military. Reports state that the Togolese military has been trying to mobilise its forces and head north, but are unable to do so at this time due to poor organization. CWAA Military Strategists suspect they will be able to take over the prefectures of Tone, Oti, and possibly Keran before encountering Togolese forces.

The former King of Kopparbergs, Carl Gustaf XXI, answered his cellphone:
-Carl speaking.
-Hi, Carl Gustaf. I’m terrible sorry to disturb you, but this is really, really important. Oh, this is Yayi Boni, president of the Republic of Benin.
-Mr. Boni! Nice to hear from you! Long time no see! What’s on your mind, let me know...
-Well, you remember when you sort of invaded Nigeria a couple of years ago, and your submarines got permission to refuel and fill up the refrigerators in the port of Cotonou? We made a deal by then, and you promised to protect the nation of Benin from any hostile countries should the need arise.
-Oh yea, ‘course I remember that! It was very kind of you.
-The need may have arisen now... We’re getting reports from Togo, and the CWAA has started a full scale invasion of the country. And we’re next on their list. You know, we really hasn’t much force to stop them with.
-That was no good news Mr. Boni. But we may have a small problem here, I’m not the King of Kopparbergs any more, but I’ll do everything I can to help you. I promise!
-Very nice of you, Carl Gustaf! I’m sure you can fix something!
(OOC: The promise was given here ( http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11526955&postcount=11).)
---
Carl Gustaf XXI talked to the new king of Kopparbergs Africa, King Mohammed VI, and he surely understood the importance of keeping the promise to Mr. Boni. He immediately ordered AAF14 in Ibadan and AAF12 in Kaduna to prepare troops for immediate leave. Three hours after the order was given, 50 Lavi jets left Ibadan and 30 left Kaduna. Their orders was to patrol the air above Benin.
Six hours after the order was given, two large convoys left the both cities, going westwards towards Benin. In the convoys there were a lot of Merkava MK IV tanks and artillery equipment. Mohammed VI was totally convinced to keep the former kings promise!

Premier Mehmet Bengazi was in his office when the report came in.
"Premier, I have some bad news." said the intelligence officer over the phone.
"What is it, Captain?"
"Kopparbergs military forces seem to be moving into Benin. This is very unexpected to us. We didn't know they had plans for expansion in this region."
"Hmm...Captain keep me posted on this. Also alert the Generals to postpone the invasion of Benin while I talk to King Mohammed about this. Let's try to Keep a friendly relationship with our neighbors."
"Yes, Premier. I'm on it"
Bengazi hung up the phone and went to the Comm station to type up a telegram to Kopparbergs.
"Honorable King Mohammed,
I must ask on behalf of my nation why you have invaded Benin. I must inform you that we have reason to believe that the Government of Benin harbored Fasoan Government officials who recently attacked and killed 150 innocent civilians. If it is possible, I want to know who in Benin did it. If you find them, I ask that you send them to us immediately. I personally don't care about the territory but my people want blood and I must give it to them. I really don't want to disrupt our friendly relations and wish to solve this in as much of a diplomatic way as possible.
Thank You,
Premier Mehmet Bengazi"

Dapaong, Benin, H-hour +12
The MiG-21's flew overhead as the 1st Malian Army Corps marched into the town. The people of Dapaong sat in wonder looking at the thousands of troops move through their small town. The command team commandeered a warehouse building and set up shop there. Guards were posted there while the rest of the Corps moved South towards Mango. General el-Alam arrived in his Gazelle helicopter at the site and walked in.
"Give me the Premier." he said.
"Yes, sir." said a young Comm Officer
"Premier, I have good news. We have taken Dapaong."
"Good work General. I expect nothing less from you."

General Atta declared the prefecture of Tone taken without casualty. The massive 1st Malian Army Corps marched on towards Mango. The front of the column moved up towards a small intersection in the road. The weary tank commander on the lead T-72 looked around and saw the petrol station and the few other small buildings seemed abandoned. He told a few Frontline Infantry grunts up to check them out. A squad of men walked up to the petrol station and reported it clear. Just then, a loud crack rang out. A bomb had been hidden inside the station and was detonated by someone hiding in the forest. The soldiers were immediately incinerated while shrapnel flew out, clanging against the tanks armoured hulls. A whoop rang out through the forest as gunfire erupted from the forest, hitting the tanks and some soldiers. These volleys were immediately met by a counterattack by the MBT's, BMP's, and footsoldiers. A tank blasted a round into one of the shacks, blowing it to pieces, showering the Guerilla occupants down the road with their comrades. The battle raged for about a half hour before the geurillas retreated.
CWAA Casualties: 43 dead, 87 wounded
Togolese Casualties: at least 34 dead, otherwise unknown

King Mohammed VI received the message from Premier Mehmet Bengazi. He read through it and then he began to write a reply to the Premier in CWAA:
To Premier Mehmet Bengazi
Since many years back we have had a defense pact with the Republic of Benin. They are worried over your actions taken in Togo, and asked us to help them prevent an invasion of Benin. I must make one thing very clear to you, Mr. Bengazi:
WE ARE NOT THE ONES INVADING BENIN, YOU ARE.
I you can provide evidence that the government of Benin are housing terrorist, I will look at that, but I seriously doubt that Mr. Boni in Benin is a terrorist. But at the moment we're going to place military forces all across Benin, and we're fully convinced to defend our neighbor from any and all possible invasions.
We're not going to call back our troops from Benin, and we're seriously thinking of placing troops in Togo too, just to keep peace in West Africa.
signed,
King Mohammed VI of Kopparbergs Africa

Mango, Togo
The tanks and infantry moved through the town, searching for a man named "Omar". Omar is the leader of the rebel group that attacked CWAA territory the few days before. They had tracked the rat down to this town with the help of some local citizens. A T-72 rolled through a narrow alley when all of the sudden, a hail of bullets came over it. Through the periscope, the commander saw a mercedes speed away with a man firing through the sunroof.
"Command! We have spotted Omar! He is heading down route 20 towards Benin!"
"Shit! Catch him efore he crosses that border! Use all force necessary!"
The tank was too slow to do anything about the car but within 15 minutes, two Mil Mi-24's swooped overhead hunting down the terrorist.
General Atta, hearing news of the terrorist pig fleeing towards Benin, sent a messge to Kopparbergs warning him of the arrival.
"Honorable King Mohammed VI,
We have found the rat bastard who has planned the attacks against the CWAA. He is heading in a black mercedes towards the Benin/Togo border. We are trying to catch him now but I am afraid we might not make it to him in time. I beg you, for all those who were killed in the terrorist attacks, please apprehend this pigdog infedel and send him to us. Remember, as we promised, as soon as he is apprehended, we will leave Togo and pay back reparations for damages we may have caused. PLease do not ignore us. MY nation wishes to form strong ties to yours as a good neighbor and doesnt want this incedent to come between us in the future.
Thank you,
General Mohammed Atta"

The CWAA has reason to believe that Togo has been housing terrorists who attacked CWAA territory (see National Incedent thread) and we have come to get them. It is not a conquest, only a sweep and clear operation. At the moment we are chasing the terrorist leader towards the Benin border where we have contacted Kopparbergs forces who will hopefully capture him. Once he is captured, we will leave and pay the proper reparations to the Togolese people.

King Mohammed VI received the message from General Atta. He forwarded it to Rav Aluf Dan Halutz, who is responsible for all foreign troop movements.
Reply to General Mohammed Atta:
We do not have ground troops amongst the Benin/Togo border yet, our convoys recently crossed the Nigeria/Benin border. We do however have planes and helicopters in the area, and I'll send out an order to the helicopters to try to track him.
Dan Halutz asked King Mohammed VI if he had something to add to this message, but he denied. The message was sent to General Atta.

I thank you for your assistance. Also, on behalf of all of the CWAA, I appologize for my military's actions. We became too hot-headed in the midst of the attack and started throwing accusations everywhere...I am truly sorry. From this point forward, I promise that my nation shall no longer act without reason. My air forces along with the 675th CTF are probing for the terrorist as we speak.

Somewhere over the Togolese rainforest
Reports had come in showing that Omar was heading east at great speed. Ground forces have been unable to catch him so far with the airmen having little luck as well. Two Mil Mi-24 gunships and three Mil Mi-8 transports flew in formation towards the town Omar was suspected of being in, Jojoba, near the Togo/Benin border. The town neared them. The helicopters circled twice, then the Mi-8's decended and dropped off the Company of CT soldiers. The Mi-8's lifted off and rejoined the Mi-24's in the air. The CT commander, Captain Koudouzim, walked to the town hall with his subordinate officers. They asked the people in the building some questions about rebel activity and went over the results in a sectioned off back alley.
"It seems they don't know anything about him." said a young Leiutenant.
"They answered too quikly not to know. He has to be here."
"Well, sir, that is a possibility, but so far our results show..."
He was cut off by a crack of gunfire and screaming from the town area.
"Shit! Everyone move out!"
The rebels had been waiting inside a small warehouse and jumped a CWAA soldier. A firefight ensued between rival forces.
"I need air support!" radioed Koudouzim to the gunships above. Almost immediately, a hail of 30mm chain gun rounds and FFAR's flew down upon the square, wiping out the rebel concentration of troops. An RPG streaked from the canopy and punched through an Mi-8, but thanks to its soft skin and the RPG's AP, it didnt explode. It was at that moment Omar was seen boarding a technical and streaking off into the forest. The CT's were picked up while the gunships unleashed a bullet barrage into the rainforest. Omar had slipped away again, but sooner or later he would be caught.

Somewhere in the Togolese rainforest
Omar sat in a shack in the rainforest surrounded by his bodyguards. He was reading over a map of Bamako with several marks on it, one on National Soccer Stadium, one on the Hospital, and one on the House of Sovereigns Building.
"Fragou, ready the bombers. We head out tonight." said Omar.
"Yes sir." replied the man.
They went about their business, readying weapons and explosives and the sort. Omar kept reading over the map when he heard a muffled scream outside. He stepped up to investigate when an object rolled into the room. There was a bright flash and a loud whoomp, and he fell on the ground clutching his ears. His bodyguard raised his weapon but was gunned down immediately. A group of masked men ran in and cuffed him up. He yelled at them but was clubbed in the gut by one of the masked men. They ran outside to a scene of chaos. Rebels were strewn about dead on the ground with helicopters spraying bullets into buildings and vehicles. An Mi-8 dropped down and picked up the men. As it flew away, two MiG-21's flew down and sprayed FFAR's and 30mm bullets onto the village, lighting the area on fire. The helicopters and jets flew away, leaving a burning pillar of smoke in their wake.
