General Moshe Dayan's personal helicopter landed atop Mt. Meron as the sun burned brightly over the sky. He got out and was quickly saluted by a Sergeant who led him to the command post built into a deep army bunker.

Lt General Zev Gilboa got out to greet him.

"Are your men ready?" asked Dayan.

"Sir, we are ready to move as soon as the sun sets," responded Gilboa.

"The Knesset only approved this plan under a secret vote 24 hours ago," responded Dayan. "I do fear things have been a bit rushed."

"Don't worry Sir," responded Gilboa. "Our forces up North have been on high alert for over 6 months. We have had reserves mobilized for months. In addition to that, we've already run this drill many times."

"I remember when we went in for Operation Peace for Galilee," responded Dayan. "I've looked over that operation and I promise we won't make those same mistakes this time."

"We will make sure of it," rsponded Gilboa. "I did notice though that you have moved some additional forces into the Golan."

'I have," confirmed the 1 eyed General. "While we aren't going to invade Syria in this initial plan, I do fear they might make a move across the border. Should that happen, we will then take Damascus."

"That sounds good," responded the 3 Star. "I know Jordan and Egypt will likely sit back, but I must recommend we put some forces along the Jordan and in the Negev should we be wrong."

"It's already been taken care of," responded Dayan. "Should either nation make a move, we will make 1967 seem like a holiday for them. I have General David Eyri's aircraft prepared should they need to strike."

"I wouldn't want to go against our Air Force," observed Gilboa.

"Few would."

"Damned Jews!" swore the Chairman as he read the reports from his operatives in Israel and looked at the recent satellite pictures. "They're going to strike against somewhere to their north."
"What makes you so sure sir," inquired a younger Board member. "It's not entirely out of character for the Israelis to move additional forces in to secure areas," reminded the Board member.
"Look at the ammount of forces they have, they obviously have mobilised their reserves for a long while, and I doubt its so they can waste their government's money!" Exclaimed the Chairman, slamming his fist into the arm of his luxurious leather chair. "Combine the long mobilisation period with the deployment of additional troops to the Golan Heights, it makes me realise the Yids are up to something, I know it." He opened up the right arm of his chair and withdrew a phone, which he dialed and put him through to the Fuhrer's office.

Fuhrerbunker

"No Svetlanka, you can't have another pony...wait a second I have another call." The Fuhrer was glad for the respite from his daughter. Crushing armed insurgencies was one thing, but dealing with a 13 year old girl was a different matter altogether.
"Yes? Ah Herman, how are you?...Yes, yes, same problems. Anyway, what can you do for me?...Israel? Oh Saint Hilga's knickers, those Yids make my skin crawl...so what do we do if they engage?...ah, of course!" The Fuhrer giggled and chucked, "of course Herman, as always...yes, see you tomorrow." The Fuhrer put the phone down and immediately began typing the following message, which was sent to the world's governments and news agencies.

Skgorrian Message To The World

We would advise the world to beware of Israel's actions. They are moving more soldiers to their frontiers and are keeping reserves mobilised than longer. Skgorria will be highly disappointed if Zionist agression once again comes to pass

Dusk fell over the land at 1710 local time. General Moshe Dayan was safe within his bunker a thousand feet within Mt. Meron in Israel's Upper Galilee. The signal “Erev Tov” or good evening was sent over the open radio circuits. This was the predetermined code to launch Operation Ra'am.

F-35I aircraft lifted off from IAF bases across Northern Israel. The first ones took off from an air base near the ancient ruins of Tzippori.

The stealth aircraft flew low over the tree covered hills, valleys, and mountains of Israel's Upper Galilee. RADAR's were kept off and the aircraft were carrying internal weapons only in order to cut down on their RCS and emmissions.

Eighty miles south of the border, E-8 JSTARs and E-767 aircraft hovered with F-15I Ra'ams circling nearby.

The F-35s were carrying HARMs and a mixture of AMRAAMs and Python Vs. The F-35s used their RWR systems to warn them as they flew near ground RADARs. When they got a strong enough signal, they would use their HARMs to track in on and destroy the SAMs and RADARs.

With the F-35s in the air were F-22Is. They were carrying AAMs and had orders to shoot as soon as the IFF system made sure the aircraft on their screens weren't friendlies. They too had their RADARs off and got their RADAR pictures transmitted to them from the orbiting E-767s.

F-117s came in behind the F-22s and F-35s. Each of them was armed with 2 2,000 lb JDAMs with orders to crater airfields, hit seaports, bomb highways, and destroy power plants in order to cut off Lebanon from the rest of the world.

B-2As represented the last of the stealth wings incoming in to attack Lebanon. They were loaded with 30-40,000 lbs of bombs. Some carried JDAMs to destroy bunkers and other heavy targets. Other aircraft were carrying JSOWs to scatter an area with cluster munitions to destroy Lebanese troop formations and bases.

These aircraft made the bulk of the IAF's initial assault against Lebanon. Their primary missions were to establish air superiority, perform SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defense), and strike critical infrastructure. This strike should've ended only 15-20 minutes after the first aircraft came over the Lebanese border.

Israeli ground troops along the border began opening fire on Lebanon. JSTARs and UAVs had located enemy ground targets. MLRS positioned along the Meron mountain range and the rest of the border opened fire on these positions. Tube artillery joined in to supress any Lebanese troops that they were ordered to fire on.

A-10 Thunderbolts took to the sky. With the stealth aircraft making the skies safe, the Thunderbolts overflew enemy positions dropping bombs and targetting enemy artillery. It was hoped such actions would allow IDF artillery to target tanks and infantry rather than sticking to counter-battery fire.

With full fire support, IDF Merkava tanks with 120 mm guns breached the Lebanese border. The tanks were joined by mechanized infantry traveling either in Bradleys or on foot. While they did have enough Bradleys, the troops had to walk because infantrymen were the best weapon against soldiers carrying ATGMs.

The IDF troops were ordered to fire on anyone who resisted them. The standing order was shoot to kill.

off of the Israeli coast, a large fleet of subs, destroyers, cruisers, battleships, and carriers was moving north to blockade Lebanon. The carriers weren't really needed for the blockade. The same was true with the battleships. It was determined that they would be used to provide fire support for Israeli ground operations. The Israeli Naval Aircraft were tasked with providing Combat Air Support for ground forces.

The IAF had defeated the Lebanese Air Force in less than a half an hour. The use of stealth aircraft to crater airfields and the Airborne RADARs of E-767s had made it easy for the IAF. They still had lost about a dozen aircraft in the initial operation. Most of those were lost to SAMs, but the use of Wild Weasels had diminished the SAM threat.

Israeli artillery (both tube and rocket) was firing nearly continuously at targets across Southern Lebanon. Tanks and Infantry Fighting Vehicles were now 10 km within Lebanon and crushing any opposition they saw. With naval fighter-bombers and A-10s on call, the way was being paved for them. They were getting a lot of resistance though from armed civilians who opened fire on the Israeli troops.

Israeli artillery was now being trained on villages in order to suppress the civilians who were firing on Israeli troops.

The IAF was now using all of its aircraft to bomb Lebanese targets. With the SAM threat neutralized, older A-4F, F-4E, Kfir, and B-52Hs were being used to bomb Lebanon. Other aircraft such as the more advanced F-15I and F-16I fighter-bombers were also being used along with the 5th generation aircraft in Israel's arsenal. The IAF was throwing every type of aircraft they had to bomb Lebanon into submission and clear the way for ground troops.

off the coasts of Tyre and Beirut, 24" guns from the Netanyahu class BBs and 20" guns from the Arizona class BBs were being used to shell the coasts and put the fear of G-d into any Lebanese who would dare take up arms against the Israeli forces.
